Wut? The two bear almost no similarities except for the fact they are top air, 22mm, and have a 510 connection. :glare:

Wait, you are not quite correct. The Aeolus v2 Pro also has an option to come in SS like the Rogue. They have more similarities than you mentioned.:sneaky::lol:

So is the Aeolus v2 worth getting? Whats up with the threads Im not sure I quite get it, you unscrew the attie to tighten it onto your mod?
Defiantly not worth it. Since it reverse threaded when you screw the barrel down if you screw to tight the atty will start unscrewing from your mod. bein g the center pin is so long it doesn't sit flush on the mod and the barrel doesn't sit flush with the deck. Look over the thread a bit and you'll see all the user posts about this atty.

So that's the pro version right? I was thinking about getting the Aeolus v2 but if it is also has reverse threading than I don't think I'll buy it, it just sounds like a pain in the ..... If it's only the pro version that has all those problems than I'll consider getting the normal Aeolus v2. I just can't find an all black one ffs. I WANT AN ALL BLACK AEOLUS V2.

The runner up rda I had in mind is an authentic tugboat v2. I have a clone(I'm pretty sure it's a clone but I'm not 100%) of tugboat and it's pretty awesome for flavor and vapor.

Got my v2 pro in yesterday haven't vaped on it yet but a few things I noticed out of the box: The center pin is non adjustable and sticks out a stupid amount, it doesn't sit flush on my box mods, tested on the IPv3 and the Snow wolf 200w. There is a tiny gap between the atty and the mod, more so on the ipv3 than on the sw 200. When you thread the barrel on it also doesn't sit flush with the base (tiny lip), I've completely dis assembled the deck in hopes of fixing it but to no avail. I'm not a fan of the reverse threading either, makes it hard to tighten the barrel down without it unscrewing from the mod, ended up using a screwdriver on the center pin to tighten the cap down but you can't get it completely flush. The AFC ring pops in and out with ease, but only a small section turns to adjust the airflow not the entire top cap so you end up turning your drip tip for the air flow. After seeing all of this yesterday I was in no hurry to vape on it and threw it on my shelf. I'm gonna put some twisted 26g coils in it tonight but unless the vape is amazing it won't be replacing my vector.

EDIT: Imgur Here's what the atty looks like sitting on the SW 200w. This is with the barrel screwed as tight as it can without removing the atty from the mod and as far as the base will screw down.
Damn, that's a bummer. This was most likely going to be my next atty.

Got mine in the mail today, finally.. I don't know if they fixed some of the issues in the later batches or not but i'm not having many of the issues some of the others are. I screwed the deck tight on my hex ohm built it, wicked it, then screwed the barrel down tight until the deck came loose from the hex then snugged it back up and vaped away.

It sits flush on my hex ohm 2.1 no problem so I unscrewed it and tried it on 5 of my mods (RDNA40, Vaporflask 2.1,2 tugboat mod v1, tugboat mod v2 and back on the Hex. It sits flush on all of them and the barrel hasn't come loose on me at all so far. I will say that airflow control ring is a stupid design, there are no grooves, no indentation nothing its just a smooth ring that sticks like 1/16 of an inch out of the center of the top cap and its about 1/16 inch smaller diameter than the top cap so its difficult to get any kind of grip on it and the oring thats in there is so stiff it was virtually impossible to adjust it brand new out of the box. It's loosened up a bit now after vaping it all day but its still really difficult to adjust.

Wicking properly is a little tricky without a juice well to hold the cotton in place. Its much easier if you wet the cotton before trying to tuck it but that can get messy without a juice well. However with the threaded deck you really can fill this thing up to the coils with juice and just vape away without any leaking. Coils are a breeze to build without the juice well to get in the way as well, I imagine this would be about the easiest deck there is to do one wire (continuous) dual coils with if thats your thing.

So far i'm pretty happy with it, the vape is good, plenty of airflow, the flavor is almost too intense with the reduced chamber I don't get any spit back but my tongue feels like it's coated with juice after vaping it for awhile. LOL

Edit: mine is serial [HASHTAG]#1324[/HASHTAG] don't know how much later that would be from some of those that got theres earlier.

Oh so to take the rda off the mod you turn it righty? Is that what you guys mean, I swear I am not knew to the game haha just confused. Or is the barrel reverse threaded i.e lefty making the attie unscrew...thats it, right? Man...I have wanted an Aeolus soooo bad and I figured this was my shot. I would LOVE a v.1.

The barrel is reverse threaded so that it doesn't come loose when unscrewing the atty from your mod. They threaded it so that it doesn't pull off so that you can use the barrel as the juice well instead of a tiny well in the deck like most atty's. Surprisingly it works really well for me, it's a pretty cool idea.

I just cant drop $75 on something so many people are having issues with. I hate threads on RDAs as well so this is a no go for me. Guess I will never own an Aeolus

Yep, I know the feeling, it's funny reading back through this thread all the negativity is from only 2 people. It seemed like many more at the time.. I was so disappointed they had me wanting to cancel my preorder. I'm glad I didn't though because I never would have bought this otherwise. To me it's a really nice RDA much prefer this over my Vector which was really hyped up on here, I think the vector is terrible though, go figure lol. Good luck with whatever you get man!

Blaze what version did you get? The v1 v2 or the pro version? Does it sit flush on your mods? Is the chamber reverse threaded?
