Aerotank Mega - Help Please - This is just Horrible!!!

This is why I only purchase the old style coils...the new ones can't easily be rebuilt. as a matter of fact, I have yet to find someone that has actually been able to do it. I have a box of new coils in my kit that are horrible leakers.

I rebuilt some of the new coils. It's about the same as the old style except you need pliers because everything fits real tight.

Is it just the blur in the picture of the coil or is there no wick there?

these are the new coils that Kanger is making.... basically a "felt" sheet held between two metal sleeves, the felt sheet runs upwards to the silica wicks inside the second sleeve,,, therefore no more silica sticking out of the outer sleeve....
it is an attempt to keep people from rebuilding the coil assemblies. Once you pull apart the dual sleeve portion of the new style coil, it damages the felt sheet and makes it useless.... so.... no more rebuilding kanger coils....

Im happy with my 3.1 KFC... the protanks are gathering dust and growing mold in them

Ill tell you guys though I found out yesterday about the new Kanger coils BUT they are the ones with the 2 hole,I guess these were made in between the outside wick and teh one hole,I put them in my regular Areotank and WOW they are working awesome,never had such vapor from any tank on my MVP2,and Ive tried alot including Iclear30,mini Aero,that junk nautilus,what junk that thing is,worked awesome first week til I changed coils,it cant just be teh coils cuz NONE work.So just saying teh intermediate dual hole Kanger coils are very good,at least my experience.

The problem I have with Kanger is that they have some seriously crappy quality control on their coils. Aspire also has the same problem with the Nautilus coils. They make nice tanks, but their coils are just junk half the time. They need to get their crap together and start making decent coils instead of spending all their R&D on shiny new tanks.
