My husband and I thought we wanted tobacco-flavored juice, but after a visit to our local vape store, we realized that tobacco just doesn't taste that great. Well, the truth is that he left with a tobacco juice and I left with a grape, and before we reached home (about 15 miles) he had my grape. My suggestion is that you find a store to visit that will let you try a range of flavors until you find something that tastes great to you. It's very individual. Try stuff you don't think you'll like until something just hits you the right way. We also has a "free smoke" hour every night for about two weeks until we decided that cigarettes don't actually taste that great and gave it up, so don't be hard on yourself when you smoke a real cig. It's a marathon, not a sprint. In fact, once you find a juice you really like, try doing a side-by-side comparison with a cigarette and see what you think!

Hi there. I'm new. I'm new here and new to vaping. I'm feeling pretty discouraged with vaping. I can't seem to get the hang of it and move away from the cigs. Maybe close to a month ago a purchased a halo triton tank kit. It's easy to use and I felt reasonably comfortable with it quickly but I can't find any juice that I actually enjoy. A week ago I decided maybe I'd have better luck with a glass tank thinking maybe itd help flavor-wise, and purchased an Aspire K1 kit. I must be stupid, because I can't use this thing to save my life. The vapor is sparse and I'm pretty sure I'm eating the juice most of the time. The final discouraging straw was a few minutes ago when I discovered my juice leaking out of the brand new tank. I cleaned it up, tightened everything and did everything I could think to do (I am careful not to overfill and don't think I'm getting juice in the center tube). When it came time to try it out, I felt like I got a huge mouth full of juice and it was all over my hand. I'm done with it. IF I continue trying to quit smoking by trying to vape, I'll stick to the triton. But at this point, I don't even feel like messing with the crap.
btw, I have some new juices from Zeus juice that I *think* I may enjoy. They ate good for a few hours and then taste bad to me. I assume it's because I'm still using regular cigs, but what do I know.

I am having a difficult time totally getting off tobacco - pipe smoker for 10 years. I have not come across an e-liquid that is really satisfying but I think I will keep trying.

I'm disappointed for you. I have bought 5 or 6 K1 tanks and given them away in the hope of stopping people buying old-tech plastic clearomisers.

I think you got unlucky, I really do, unless....

unless....

(brain into motion....)

You know, if your battery is not Variable power, you are maybe doomed with those tanks.
The 3rd (or 4th?) most famous Vendor in the UK 'swears' by the K1. So do I.
However.... we are all using them at much more power than the Aspire 'kit' battery can deliver.

.. does that make sense? I bet they gurgle, spit and leak at under 9 or 10 watts... which is exactly the power you are running them at with a plain battery.

or have I missed something here? :)
Correct. I haven't tried the K1 with anything other than the battery that came in the kit. Aspire CF g-power, 4.2V

Finding good-tasting juice is hard. Just plain strawberry, probably 50 of them, all slightly different. Other common flavors are the same way. I still look for samplers and I appreciate it when a I buy from a vendor and they through in a small bottle of something else.

I use a spreadsheet for my juices. I don't run into getting a juice that I have already tried. I rate it and write notes. Sadly though, the most that I have found with one vendor is four juices. That is MBV and they sell a lot of different juices. I currently have three sampler packs steeping in a drawer.

Everything gets the exact same steeping routine. I think it fair and I don't want to get into peculiarities of steeping a certain brand. If I load it and it doesn't taste right, I label it with the date and put it in a special box to try again in a couple of weeks. Still not good for me, well, then...

I try to keep it fair and simple.

1) You might try vaping unflavored ejuice. I had a lot of trouble finding ejuice I liked when I started, too.
2) What kinds of flavors do you like? Some people start vaping and immediately go to the "tobacco flavors" and they don't taste much like a cig so they are disappointed.
3) I never in my entire life smoked menthols......yet, as a vaper, I only vape minty stuff now. :) It's a whole different ballgame, don't go in with preconceived notions.

4) Halo triton is a nice kit. Do not spend more $$ until you find ejuice you like, with a low resistance clearomizer a single coil on top of a triton will work fine. Just don't want to see you shell out more $$ until you get a few things right. The right eliquid is critical when starting, IMHO........otherwise, you are just buying more hardware and still can't vape what you put into it

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but what finally did it for me was WTA whole tobacco alkaloid RY4 from Aromaejuice at 24mg. I was a PAD smoker for 35plus years and this is what finally gave me the vape I needed. I am now down to 18 and WTA only in the AM. An one more thing I vaped like a train the first few weeks. LOL Just please do not give up!

Try Alien Visons Bobas Bounty. Why do I suggest this even though I don't vape it anymore.....well, because most people starting out with vaping "seem" to like it a lot. It's like a desserty tobacco, but you can't really call it a tobacco since it doesn't taste at all like tobacco. Just in my experience getting new vapers into vaping, most seem to think it was pretty good.

Don't give up. It took me years to finally give up cigs and just vape. I just needed technology to catch up for what i was looking for in a substitute for cigarettes. (exhales/vapor production) I'm almost 6 weeks without a cigarette and honestly I have no desire. My wife still smokes around me and it smells like .....
