Ok gang, here goes....
I got my GGT on Saturday, October 17th and my AFS on Friday, October 30. I wanted to use it for a couple of days and put it through its paces before giving any feedback.
DAY 1 - I watched the AFS videos to make sure I had a pretty good handle of what I was supposed to do and then I put it together (using the nano set up and a freshly charged Ultrafire protected 16340 batt). This was at about 5:30p. I filled the AFS up 3/4 full, put a couple drops on the atty, made sure the hole was down, took a few primer puffs and started vaping.
Really good flavor from the apricot juice I was using and a good warm vapor...not too much throat hit so I started taking longer drags and the throat hit got better.
So I'm continuously vaping and then start to hear the gurgling sound. Ok I say to myself, you must have flooded your atty...I do a couple of 1 second burns and then turn the hole face up and start vaping again. Still a little gurgly but better. Soon switch back to hole side down and get the full gurgle again after about 10 minutes....plus juice in my mouth this time. Ok I say to myself, you must be pulling too hard and decide to suck a little softer (no jokes please

) after going through the 1 second burn, hole side up routine again.
Well I say to myself, there is definitely a learning curve so keep at it and you will master this thing. So I keep at it...
DAY 2 - Still about 1/4 of the original juice remains but I swap setups and go for the grant with a protected 18500 battery. I fill the AFS up again to 3/4 and vape. Better throat hit with the bigger battery and still good flavor. During the course of the day, I say to myself, you must have a leak because I keep seeing juice on the portion of the atty that is exposed. Further inspection and vaping reveals the leak isn't from the bottom of the AFS cup, but from the exposed atty hole. When I see the leaks, I turn the hole up or to the side, do the 1 second burn and vape from that angle for a few. Then back to hole down. Used the grant set up all day (w/o a refill) until I left for a Halloween party around 8:30p and took a smaller mod with me.
DAY 3- At about 3pm, I'm ready to try this thing at 6volts so I switch to giant mode and 2 tenergy rcr123 batteries. I fill the AFS up, which is almost empty, put some drops on the atty and start vaping. The first hit was awesome with about a 3 second drag. The second hit produced nothing.... so I say to myself, Damn you just fried your atty!
So the experiment is over. I have loads of 901 attys, but none have the second hole that the AFS needs to work and I am really bummed about that.
OVERALL, I will say that I really like the AFS because of the ability to pick up the GGT anytime and just vape all day, whether stationary or driving, without having to worry about dripping or refilling carts. I also liked that the atty never appeared to get hot although the AFS felt mildly warm on occasion. I also liked that the AFS serves as its own mixing bowl and that you can do the shake and vape, flavor thing.
I didn't like the juice leaking from the exposed atty hole which happened frequently. But there were no leaks at the o-rings that I could tell. I also didn't like losing the only atty I had to use with the AFS and had hoped that the AFS would keep the atty so wet that it would be less likely to die at 6v. But I guess 6v is 6v, no matter how wet your atty is. Lastly, the extra size (length) that the AFS adds (I have small hands and prefer the nano set up) is a wash since the AFS works well for its intended purpose.
