Hey Imeo, my friend...... What state is your USA distributor from......
Hi Art, I know Imeo won't mind me answering for him - he won't be able to say anything about the US distributor yet because the deal is not yet finalised. I am sure he will announce just as soon as he can. :)

Ok, Gang, I need help!!! I know there is a learning curve for the AFS and was prepared to deal with it. I watched Imeo's new video about changing atty's two nights ago and put it together, added a very little bit of juice and started vaping. Kewl-this is easy. The vapor began to lessen so I added more (not a lot-maybe 1/2 full) and that's when my problems began.

All I got was gurgles, less vapor than not and lots of juice in my mouth. I kept flipping the GG around and held it at 10-15 degrees. I changed batteries although the atty was burning hot.

I watched the video about 4 more times and also watched some others and read through the thread again. By now, the entire unit was leaking at the atty connection and running down the body of the GG.

I was vaping at 3.7 with an 18650. I took the whole thing apart and cleaned everything. I soaked the atty in grain alcohol in case I had flooded it and dried it for 2 nights.

Tonight I started from scratch by watching the video several times and putting it together with the video exactly as Imeo did (I think). Same thing. Hardly any vapor, lots of leaking and gurgling. I made certain that everything was tightened down well but had to give up and clean it again. (I used several different consistencies of juice but it didn't seem to make a difference).

What might I be doing wrong? It does look as if the lasered hole is closer to the atty connector end than the one Imeo showed in the video. Could that make a difference?

Anyone have any ideas? I am now happily vaping my GGT with an 801 atty.

Thanks,
Lynn

The new one is really nice imeo... I like how it stays put. I would like to see a custom mouthpiece made for the AFS though. It needs to be a little longer or the AFS body needs to be slightly shorter to compensate for this. I am going to try some smaller o-rings to see if that shortens it up a tad. Other than that I really am happy with it and feel it is another awesome design.

hi lynn, it looks like a lot of juice came to the atty. Please try to make your liquid inside the AFS thicker, adding vg. Tell me your results again

ps..... before do that , can you please change the AFS atomizer putting a new one (if you have one):)

Just to add to that Lynn make sure when you hear your atomiser gurgling you vape with the atomiser hole facing up, this will clear excess juice from your atomiser :)

Some stock juice is to thin to be used with an AFS, so as suggested add some VG, this thickens up the consistency of the liquid and reduces the flow rate to the atomiser, trial and error but once you get there it's hard to put the thing down

Thanks a lot womb!

And please dont take hard inhales when you see this, please inhale softly.

I suggest this:

1) smoke with atty hole facing down
2) when you hear gurgling then turn hole facing up and inhale soften
3) If you feel that taste is going to be burned, then turn the hole down again:)

I recently had this problem with one of my atties (licking eliquid)..The problem (in my opinion) is the performance of the atty cause of the residues which are stucked on it..This is what I`ve done : I boiled water and (while the water started to boil) I threw the atomizer inside the water for 2 mins...The result after that was brilliant !!!

I have to disagree with ggero and lisa here, cleaning the atomiser in boiling water will remove deposits from the coil leading to better, even, heat build up and distribution, this will also increase vapour but it will not reduce leaking from the breathing hole.

Breaking it in gently will not reduce leaking either, if it leaks it leaks, it's down to liquid viscosity, if it's to thin, liquid will enter the atomiser to quickly, the coil will not burn it off fast enough resulting in a flooded atty..liquid in the mouth and little to no vapour if flooded completely.

Add some VG or even PG to alter the thickness of the juice, this will result in a slower flow rate from the atomiser to the coil enabling the liquid to be burned off and reduce flooding, strength of draw also comes into play as well, it's not an exact science as a lot of liquid bought from vendors has different viscosity, as with anything new it's a learning curve :)

I agree with this statement 100% The strength of draw has a LOT to do with how much liquid enters the atty. When using the AFS this is the most important thing to master. Out of the box some atties are real easy to draw and some are stiff. I feel this has much to do with the way some atties flood and leak. Right now I have two AFS going and one has a real light draw and the other has a stiff one. The stiff one doesn't seem to be making all that gurgling sound and the light one is making all kinds of noise. And most definitely the thickness of the juice has much to do with how easy it is to flood. The learning curve is there but once you get past that you are in vaping heaven.

Thank you to everyone for answering my plea for help. Unfortunately, I had tried everything that has been suggested even before I wrote.

The atty (my only one until my order arrives) was brand new-no build up yet. I used a VG based liquid first but it was too thick so then I cut it with a little grain alcohol and gurgling started so I added some PG.

I'm still not certain where the hole is when the AFS is assembled but I get the same results no matter which way I turn the GG. I do know that the laser hole is cut right at the base of the coil assembly.

I'll try again tomorrow evening and see if I can try different draws and liquids and will let you know. Hubby's home today and doesn't know I ave it yet. I wanted to show him AFTER I had it working properly. ;)

Thanks again,
Lynn

I was a slow learner with mine. It took me longer than anyone to get the hang of it. I understand the hubby thing completely. :):):) You have to show off without any frustration.:lol:
