Hiya, I've got the mini zmax v3, which is nice but I kind of miss my vamo.
I am after another mod, gonna keep the one I've got as a back up - should I get another vamo - was thinking of ordering pink one off FT, or can any of you guys recommend something else (pink not essential lol) and prepared to spend up to £50 not including batteries - The tanks I use are protank 2's and a davide glassomiser and I have a kayfun clone on order from FT if that makes a difference with what mod will work best, cheers.

Waves back at ya Chrissie :D

I think I'm probably gonna go for the pink vamo, I do miss the weight and solid feel of it - I reckon it could back up as a self defence weapon now the early dark nights have landed!

Lol, indeed it could :D

I'm currently using smoktech pyrex dct's and though cheap they are pretty good and pyrex gotta love not having to worry what juice you chuck in them.. As far as weight and build quality go a friend with a v3 I think vamo is going to replace his with my mod he preferred it but I think that's mainly cause he on his second replacement. As I said this sigelei is my first mod and so far not a single problem with it.

Hi Terry, I definitely want a mechanical at some point in the near future, but I believe the batteries die rather rapidly with them? I'm after another electrical as I'm underwhelmed by the mini zmax, it's very pretty (I only got it cos its pink!) but I have to have my protanks really loose on it to get a good draw, and as I do regular 8 hour car journeys I need something that won't drain batteries so much - a girl can only carry so many spares! Mechanical is on my wish list though for playing with at home and possibly experimenting with sub ohm.

Hey Rizzy, the reason I asked over tanks is because of the issue I have with the protank on the mini v3, wondered if there was a similar problem with the draw on the v5 zmax.

I can expect my hypertank tomorrow too (cheers Terry for the info on that!) and I've a suspicion it's gonna look a little weird on my small mod - I'm sound so shallow, I'm not really - honest!

I have no draw problems with the pyrex tanks and put an old evod on it last night to see how that was and no problem there either afraid I don't have a protank to try. A lot of people have complained that the top of the zmax isn't flush but I understand why it isn't now as I used a rubber seal to close the gap and that definately restricted airflow. There is a gap of about 1mm between the bottom of the tank and the top of the mod but unlike the v3 you can remove the drip well cap so if you needed a bit more room to screw something down you could.

hi mama,

I ryn most of my mechs with 1 18350 battery, and get 8 hours + out of a freshly charged battery, so in theory you would only have to take 1 spare with you.

Or alteratively you could put 1 18650 in, and i am guessing you would get a full day`s use.:)

Wow that's decent - yeah 18650 does me a day, do you use a particular brand of battery?

Which mechanical do you use or what would you rate for a noob to mechs using mostly bottom coils and just starting to venture into RBA's?

I tend to build around 2.2 - 2.5 ohms, and vape anywhere between 4.5 and 8 watts on electrical depending on juice.

I also got my batteries from torchy mama,

You can find him on e-bay. As for the mod, i would go for anything which telescopes so you have the choice of different battery size.

Who's Torchy? Ta :)
View attachment 265399 This is my tvs solid brass mech in 18350 mode, with the hyper tank. very easy to use if you decide on this mod, and you do want to run it in 18350; just make sure you get nipple top batteries or it wont fire.

That's gorgeous, the hypertank looks as though it was purposely made to sit on that mod!

Off to google where I can get a tvs solid brass mech and try and find Torchy on eBay - thanks Terry, you've just convinced me to go for a mechanical!

Thanks Rizzy and Chrissie too x

Oh yeah, I've always used the nipple top batteries, I thought you had to with any mod? I've got such a lot to learn!
