Don't worry. I'm assuming we're all ex-smokers here, and PG has been used as an additive to cigarettes (and it's in a lot of food products), so you're probably not increasing your intake of it significantly.

From Wikipedia:
The oral toxicity of propylene glycol is very low, and large quantities are required to incur the dangerous effects described above. The potential for long-term toxicity is also low. In one study, rats were provided with feed containing as much as 5% PG over a period of 104 weeks and they showed no apparent ill effects.[6] Because of its low chronic oral toxicity, propylene glycol is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for use as a direct food additive. Cases of propylene glycol poisoning are related to either inappropriate intravenous use or accidental ingestion of large quantities by children.

From TobaccoDocuments dot org :
Industry claims found in: sesame seed, mushroom
Industry claims used in: confection frostings, cheese, candy, baked goods, cereals, toppings, pickles, milk products, beverages and soups

If this stuff really freaks you out, then evidently, e-cigs aren't the only things you should be skeptical about.

There has been some illuminating factual information and a certain amount of reassurance provided by people here in this thread.

In addition, I detect some putdowns directed at the thread originator and the reasonable concerns s/he expressed.

The reason I bothered to read through this discussion was that I share those concerns, at least to the point of learning more about the subject.

A couple people here might now choose to mock me.

Sey la vie! <- probably misspelled.

To the doubters, go read the science on PG (germ-killing vapor thread), not some alternative-health-stuff-for-sale site. If you really, really, read the science, you will scratch propylene glycol inhalation from your list of concerns. It is not scary. It is not harmful. It is used in many medical products, by every delivery method. Newbies always hit some freaky site and raise flags that flapped and flopped a long time ago ... All the panic questions simply foster misapprehension based on misinformation.

don't forget the everyday air you breath isn't very healthy either... we need to quit worrying and just live our lives. If we try to avoid everything bad in our lives, we'd end up dying in a matter of days.

If it really concerns you maybe you should have done more research before spending $300+ dollars on stuff you've never used before. And if you did the proper research you would have found what has already been said here.

And I'm not saying that PG is the greatest thing in the world, if you ingest a huge amount of it you could die... but if you ingest a huge amount of water you can also die.... you could cross the road and die. Worst of all one morning out of nowhere you could wake up dead.

Live life, enjoy, don't let scare tactics scare you. I know they're supposed to but don't let them, that's what THEY want.
