A lot will depend on your juice - how dark/thick it is - and your budget. I love the Phiniacs because I like the plain black endcaps and the customized tanks although they're more expensive. I have IBTanked tanks, too, and they ARE simply the best value for the money.

The cartos you end up using will also factor in. The best are Ikenvapes although they're harder to find in stock. I didn't like the Boges because I prefer flanged bottoms and I like 3 ohm cartos for my ProVaris.

Ah, not necessarily sure what a flanged bottom is. However, I don't use any dark colored liquids actually. I tend to stay away from them and the darkest color e-juice I own is maybe Honey Pearry from The Vapor Chef. I rarely find darker liquids enjoyable because they're usually coffee/tobacco/bakery flavored liquids that I don't really like.

Anyways, pretty much my only concerns at this point are which replaceable cartos I'll end up buying and needing to stock up on, as well as this little debate between the IBTanked vs "SnP" carto tanks. I like the appearance of the SnP one, but I've gotten more advice and I've looked into the IBTanked ones more. Who knows, maybe I'll enjoy carto tanks a lot and end up getting both eventually.

My old ADV was Unicorn Blood from FuZion Vapor and it tended to clog my XL cartos after a week or so. It didn't do it to the shorter ones, though.

Nowadays I'm diluting everything with a plain PG/VG base, though. I think more VG will clog, as well.

With a high PG juice that isn't gunky you'll likely get a couple of weeks use on a regular sized carto.

Ah, that's more than fair. I have a couple bottles of Unicorn Blood next to me actually so that was a great reference. I didn't think of their color when I was imagining dark liquids because it's just...well...red. Anyways, I usually swap out my replacement heads even on light colored liquids after about a week, so you implying that 1 week is fairly quick compared to lighter colored liquids, that's already a plus.

Do I have to worry about carto sizes when I buy my IBTanked carto tank? I concluded that I'm just going to stick with IBTanked for now as my beginner carto tank, due to the SnP being a bit on the pricier side and my wallet is still feeling the Provari. I noticed there's XL, halflings, and other sorts of cartos along with what you said being flanged and etc, etc. There's so many varities of cartos that it's sort of confusing. I imagine it's really easy once you've found the carto you enjoy using, as the process of actually using the IBTanked carto tanks seems insanely easy and hassle free. Makes me wonder why any one would bother using Protanks so I figured there had to be a catch.

I really have had no trouble with the regular sized tanks, only the XLs.

I'm currently using my ProTanks again but only because I'm very lazy these days....lol

I rarely use clearomizers (Protanks, iClear 30, etc) much. I prefer the flavor production and the consistancy of a cartotank. Initial setup takes 5 minutes (priming the carto) longer than a clearomizer, but that's worth it to me considering the above. You don't have to add more juice to the carto during tank refills (although it doesn't hurt to do so should you wish to).

I wouldn't "stock up" on cartos initially until you decide which carto you prefer. Boge, Ikenvape, and Smok all differ somewhat in their perceived delivery and most people settle on one or the other due to THEIR experience and personal preference.

IBTanked offers three lengths of tanks, and three lengths of cartos to fit those tanks. Halfling (shorty), standard, and XL. Whether a carto has a "flange" or not is also personal preference. This is the little metal "lip" at the connector end of the carto. I have no preference myself as I use both Platinum (no flange) and 510-Fusion (flanged) from Ikenvape.

@Baditude

Thanks so much for all of the help. I'm going to order a stainless steel capped 22mm standard carto tank from IBTanked along with the IBT Pro Ring. When I first decided I was going to buy a Provari, I never thought I was going to get a flush looking device out of it, but the more I look at carto tanks (and not at RBA's, just not really into them, but I knew I could with those) I realize it's possible and that's great to me. Since the second I discovered bigger mods, I've always wanted one that looks flush and I'm hoping it will with the pro ring and the stainless steel cap.

I have to say though, that SnP carto tank is still really catching my eye with how flush that thing looks topping a Provari. I do wonder though, where are the air holes for these carto tanks? Is it in the 510 connection so it's going to be a tight draw? Will I have to loosen the connection a tad to get airflow? I'm goaling for as flush as I possibly can.

The airholes are in the top of the connector of the cartomizer. The IBTanked Pro Ring has two holes already drilled in it for airflow. Many of the other Pro Rings from other manufacturers fit rather loosely and allow for proper airflow, too.

There are a few ways to get a flush look!

The IBTPro Ring you already looked at has airholes, so you can tighten down the tank all the way - in fact, that ring is "taller" than most, and you HAVE to tighten it down to get a battery connection - it's designed that way.

Then there are a whole collection of rings that are 22 MM, so you have a 1 mm "step" in your look, and you can get "flush" if your TANK has an air channel in the base, like this one. Or you can get a tank MADE for a ProVari, that has a built-in "ring" that covers the taper, like this one.

You may end up like me - I don't want a "gap," and keep looking for new ProVari accessories that might look or vape better...
I've got some good stuff, but I've also got a "one of these days" list for things I want to try.
