By "V3", I assume you mean the Prodigy V3. [There is also a Joye Stick V3 and probably others.] Hopefully someone here has the Prodigy. If not, I'll share my own experience:

Most of my vaping has been done using adapters. You see, I like the penstyle-type atomizer (e.g., 801), for which very few mods have fittings. [The Prodigy is an exception; I think because Steve likes the penstyle atty.] So the 901-to-801 adapter has been a godsend for me. I use it with Kr8 batteries, my ProVape-1, and with my Elegant. And (since I don't have an eGO) I even use a 901-to-510 adapter for an LR 306 on my Elegant.

And most of these adapters are very inexpensive, e.g., $1 at Good Prophets.

If a Prodigy user does not chime in, I suggest that you purchase it with the fitting for your favorite atomizer and buy a couple of inexpensive adapters for the others. Worst case: you're out a couple bucks.

I used them with a Prodigy V1, without issues. As the adapters are essentially just modified battery/atty connectors, I can't see there being a problem in most cases. You will however have an issue with a Joye Stick V3 though, as the atomizer is deeply recessed into the body - but special adapters are available for that model to allow you to use DSE901 and 510 style atty's on it.

I have had no problems with adapters on either of my Prodigy V2's, nor my Chuck. The only thing that I would mention is: When using adapters, don't wrench down on the adapter or the atty/carto... just tight enough to make adequate contact (finger-tip tight, if you will [as tight as you can with just your finger tips]). Sometimes the atty/carto won't screw fully down, even though perfect contact is made.
