Not to jack this thread but I just got an aga t and am only getting .9 ohms with 10 wraps of 32 g kanthal. I have a provari so I am sure it is reading right. I would like to at least get to 1.2 but can't fit anymore wraps

If you have another device try using it just to see aga-t fires. If so put it back on the provari and check the ohms again. Also, if you are using ss mesh you might be having an issue with that. Shorts and the like.
I sanded both of my aga-t's to make the airhole line up. I think I used 200 grit sand paper. Set the topcap on it and run the cap on the paper in circular motions for about ten minutes. Checking the alignment every so often.

There are no hot spots on my coil. idk what to do? vaping my papa smurf that i know taste great but in this thing really flavor is mute, vapor is ok now but if this is how a rba taste , then gennys are not for me. sad part is i jumped the gun and have a cobra on the way. ANY advice would really help? thanks

if you are doing the oxidized wick, it may not be oxidized enough. i had once oxidized my wick in a new genny, it was working fine, the only thing was there was no taste. i pulled wick and torched really good and bam. now if you have done the un-oxidized way, not sure.

oxidized really well. burnt over and over, maby just need to break in?
so have you set it up that you are able to slide the wick in and out from the coils? because usually it should be good taste to start, yes it does get a little better after it breaks in. but if it tastes really bad, i dont think its gonna get great.

Here is what I did...

Went to hardware store and bought a 7/64 drill bit. make sure you get one with a long solid area....little cutting area
Wrap your coil around it....tight.
Drop the drill bit into the tank, and hook up the ground.
Then take pliers and pull the coil tight on the drill bit... and tighten it down on the positive post.
Put your mod on low volts...maybe 3.7 to 4v and fire it for a few seconds.... let coils glow a second and turn off.
Do that maybe 3 or 4 times.

Then roll your wick. Test fit it into the coil to where it will fit...but wont just drop down.
If you tap on it....it will go down... that is a good fit.

After that... oxidize and put the wick into the tank.
Make sure to not put it in and scrape off sides.

Work out any hotspots...if any. Probably will get one on the top coil.
Drip some juice on it... work with it until its good.
Fill with juice

Might take a tank or two for optimal results, but this is exactly what I do and it works fine.
When my coils get gunked up.... I simply slowly remove the wick...and burn off the gunk with a lighter/torch
Then I fire the coils at low volts to burn off that gunk....
Then put the wick back in and its back to new....sometimes I will have to work out a hotspot...but usually not.

This is for an Aga-T, using 32awg Kanthal A-1 on a Vamo

no i wrapped them when the ss is in the tank, and they are kinda tight on the wick. Should they not be?

they shouldnt be that tight, the wick should be able to slightly screw up and out, thats one of the tricks. also, the aga-t wick hole is kind of far away from the positive post, so its really difficult to make it work right if you do not have a small washer under the top nut. the washer brings the connection point over slightly towards the wick. do you have this?

I took my aga-t into the hardware store.
you need to go to a small store....home depot and lowes did not have a small washer
Ace Hardware or true value...or somethign like that.

Take the device in and test washers on it. The should have a section where they sell individual washers and bolts......
Find one that fits...and get a few of them.

thank you will try that next cause i am doing something wrong.

definately, go to ace hardware next chance you get and purchase a small washer, add it between the last 2 nuts and attach the coil at that point. also try not to wrap quite as tight, it helps also after a couple days of vaping that you can just slightly twist out the wick to clean it, then re-install without re-coiling it. make sure the wick is not touching the bottom of tank. also, i am sure you do this but before you coil the wick, you should fire the kanthal up hot. this kind of stiffens up the wire so its not to touchy. most people out there use like a drill bit, the size of the wick hole. you coil around this bit, not the wick. make your coils around bit and insert the bit into wick hole, attach pos & neg. then slide your wick into coils. this works the best. i dont think many people are coiling there wicks as much as they used to.

Here is mine... all bought at Ace Hardware

from the bottom up....
washer
spring
washer
washer
top nut

I added two of the small nuts that come with the Aga-T under the spring...it works out that they hold the spring in place pretty nice.
The springs actually are sitting over those....... I normally pull the wire into the two washers now instead of under the top nut.
