hi, i bought 1 for myself. i tried to coil it based on the videos but i still have problems on eliminating the hotspots. when i fire of the pv, the red area on the wire is only from the positive point to the mesh. once it reached the mesh, its not red hot. hope to get my additional items for recoiling afterwards to get use to recoil my Aga-t+.

where do you get because i'm also interested.:p

Hot spot is good sign, it's an alarm, it telling you that there's short between coil and mesh. Try using the methods I've post early in this thread, drill bit method or rolling paper(cigarette paper) method, try either one of them that you think easier for you.

I always using drill bit method, cause is it easier when you need cleaning the coil and mesh. Just simple pull out the mesh and torch it again, and for the coil still in place on the atomizer, just fire the coil hot red few times will clean off the mess. Then put the mesh back in the coil and reuse again. I can reuse them(coil & mesh) up 4 - 6 times until the resistance of the coil dropped down. (And, that's why you need an APV with ohms reading. Thanks to VV gripper and Vamo! :D)

Btw, I also use the "dual wick method" for my mesh wicking like this one:

With this, WOW! Never get dry hit again!

For the hot spot issue, you need to learn and experience it. I also have trial & error many times when I first start using genesis rba. Now I can easily solved this issue in just 1 or 2 minutes. Never try to get away the hot spot via using add washer or add twist at the lead like this:
Twist lead. (Actually I did this, but I given up already.)

or Add washer

Although it did solves the hot spot issue, but this means you've ignored the alarm, and the resistance might be shorter, something you will taste burning iron... Just keep learning and trying, until the coil heat up hot red from the center not from the lead like this:

Just like it heat up hot red exactly the same when the mesh is not there, like this:

Tell you what, I learnt all this just few days ago... :D:D:D:pervy:

And, there's a few threads you might want to read, you will learn many stuff there.

Once you got the correct build of coil and mesh, HA! AWESOME taste and vape all the way to the last drop of your juice! Hope this will help and I didn't waste my times typing all this.:D:pervy::smokie:

P/S: If still can't solve hot spot issue? Then try order FC-2000 Ceramic wick here FC-2000 Ceramic Wick 1/8th! And if you're going to order, order some for me too! :w00t:

BTW, I started using stainless steel mesh wick because I think it is much safe and healthy. I'm afraid of silica wick cause I read this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/284030-wick-materials-safe-vs-dangerous.html. Also I only want AGA(actually is Zhuhai Youde Technology Co., Ltd.) products, because this is the only Chinese company that using high quality materials. Their AGA series atomizers are all full 304 grade stainless steel, and they even have Pyrex glass tank! Their atomizer made of stainless steel and Pyrex glass is already the same level as high end atomizer like DID and Cobra(and who else?), and their price is "nothing you can complain!". Just wanna vape safe, vape healthy. IMHO... :)

i will certainly try to recoil back my 1st Aga-t+ until i'll get the perfect setup. thanks a lot to you.

Do they have the Pyrex glass tank for AGA-T+? Mine look like little small for the out dimension, 19.6mm... correct dimension should be 20mm... If they do have, please PM me! Thanks!

i get 1 plastic and 1 pyrex glass. the dimension is exactly 20mm..

Really?! Did you measure it with caliper? Why mine is 19.6mm?? Can you help me get 2? PM me your number, please!

btw, how big is the mesh wick u need to use for a single wick? i heard we only need half size of a business card only (around 40mm x 50mm) for a wick. if to big its hard to roll it small and fit in the hole.
Very small, 40mm long x 20mm wide for my AGA-T+ and 35mm long x 20mm wide for my old clone DID. And I don't or never use single wick only, I always use dual wicks that it drags the juice up faster. For my AGA-T+, 2 pieces 40mm x 20mm SS mesh, one piece roll on 2mm stainless steel rod(either needle or wooden rod, any rod which is 2mm OD is fine. I got SS rods from local tackle shop.) for outer wick, and another roll on 1mm big needle for inner wick. Roll them become the nice round mesh straw, then torch them well. Also, NO FRAYED, never never has FRAYED at mesh edges. This is the main reason of hot spot. And for the coil, I wrap it on a 2.5mm steel rod(or drill bit, easier to find lah.) 6 wraps, depend on you. I like 6 wraps at 2.2 - 2.4 ohms, below 2.0 ohms(4 - 5 wraps) little hot for me. Then with coil still on rod, insert rod in wick hole, screw on the coil...:)blink:) Rod out and dual wicks mesh in. Fire up and test. That's it. :) :smokie:

eric help me, i also interested. where do you get at Sibu??

Hi bluegrape, I didn't get at Sibu. I bought them from D-Wap M'sia ECig and EJuice store in PJ that was intro by vaporazor easier in this thread. (That's why I created this thread to find AGA-T+ in Malaysia.) Or maybe you can ask sinyu to buy for you since he can easily get at his place.

Do you believe this, there's no e-cig, not even a single one e-cig in Sibu! 90% of Sibu people know a anything about e-cig! I found e-cig first in Bintulu and Kuching. Sibu is a lousy town deep under the well.., even worst than small town like Bintulu. Lucky there's internet today, and I always have to order stuff from outer here. I'll leave this town one day if I can. My 2 elder brothers already moved to Kuching and most of my old close friend too, why am I still here...

Nice topic indeed bro ericska...btw, may i know what the Pro&Cons of using this AGA-T?
Sorry...still on learning process. At this moment I'm using V-Core 2.0 atomizer...today feel something wrong wt my puff.

I think everyone have different opinion, taste and feel... Like many have loved and liked Vivi Nova, but it's just not for me. I don't like silica wick, cotton wick or bamboo wick... I just love the taste from SS mesh. Talking about safest and cleanest build material for an atty, I personal think, stainless steel is best than chrome plated brass, glass is best than Poly Carbonate or acrylic plastic or PMMA... What I like about this atty and think good of it was already said from the start of this thread to end, please refer back my previous posts so I don't have to retype again, please? :)

i got the 20mm pyrex along with the aga - t+.. i donno how to get it separately..

I'm using 34 wire... the lower the coil wrap, the lower the ohm.. i only wrap 3 times and get 2 ohm .. still learning the best.. the hit is not very good.. need to train some more...

what about the juice? mind to share the pg/vg ratio?

Just built my first AGA-t+ and it not perfect yet but pretty good.

4 wraps with 32ga and got 1.9 ohm. The top wire between the coil and center post hot spots sometimes but not all the time. I might go find some washers tommorrow. I might even get some 30ga and make it 5 wraps.

The dimensions for my 500 ss mesh was 2 3/4" Wide and 1 1/2" Tall

Looks really good on my vamo.
