ECF blocked the link. Can you PM the link?

I've heard you have to tilt the AGA as if you're drinking something. Is this true? If it is, then I'm sure it's just to saturate the wick.

Haven't had that prob. Just almost horizontal will do.
Here it is... mine's abit modded.

I love mine... once I got the whole coiling thing down. It was my first!

Going to be getting an AGA. Problem is, I don't know which one. (AGA, AGA+, AGA-T and AGA-T2). Can someone give some perspectives about which one might be the better choice.

Also, please post some links to the best place to get one. I understand there's a lot of 'knock offs', and some AGA-T2's come with tanks that are rugged, and not smoothly built.

I suggest getting the AGA-T2.
I ended up getting a AGA-T+ and buying a Pyrex tank with it (I did this because I was ordering several things and I wanted to buy it all on one site (litecig) so I didn't have to pay shipping twice, and litecig didn't have the T2) the Pyrex tank I got has smooth edges though. And the custom top cap is a good addition to an already good atty (for the price).
The only other modification I have done to it is take the bottom two nuts on the positive post off and adding a spring and washer. Makes it so I never get the hot leg to the positive post. :)

Where'd you get the spring from? Been wanting to do that myself but can't find the darn right sized spring!

I went to a local Ace Hardware and they had a section with a lot of springs (most of them fairly large), but they had small packages with springs About the same
Size found in a pen but much longer (you have to cut them to the right length).
You could really just use one from a pen. I suggest just leaving the top nut in place and taking off the bottom two. The spring will be enough to hold the post in place.
I will take a picture of my setup when I get home.

Kiva, do you know if Ace Hardware, Lowes, and Home Depot have stainless steel springs and nuts? I know they have SS nuts, but I've never needed a spring, so I'm not sure.

I would definitely want to use SS. I'm thinking just any ole' spring and nut would cause rusting over time. That's something I wouldn't want to happen considering juice is making contact with it.

I'm pretty sure the springs I have are stainless steel. I didn't look for the springs at lowes or Home Depot but I know they don't have washers small enough for this application (at least not that I could find). Ace was the only place that did.

This is what my setup looks like and these are the springs I bought.

Pics look good. How much of the #508 spring did you have to cut? I'll look around for the springs at Lowes. I'm sure they have some there. BTW...which AGA are you doing this to? (AGA-+, or AGA-T2)

As for juice, ...if you were to use 100% VG juice that's very dark (almost black) in the AGA (+, or T2) ... how long do you think the wick would last before you'd have to clean or rewick?

Idk exactly how much but I cut off enough to where only about 1mm of the top post showed before I put the washer and nut on.

I don't know as I haven't really let it go far enough to actually need to be changed. I mostly do it out of wanting to tinker and just get better. Lol

What's the difference between the AGA-T+ and AGA-T2?

T+ has a polycarbonate (plastic) tank while the T2 has a Pyrex tank.

I bought a T+ and then got a Pyrex tank separately from the same vendor. Because they didn't have the T2 and I wanted to buy everything at one place to only pay shipping once.

Thanks for clearing that up. I definitely want the Pyrex Glass Tank, so I'll be ordering the AGA-T2 tonight from H-o-o-s-i-e-r..V-a-p-e-s.Com. for $22.99 (elCruz had one hell of a time listing the actual link. ECF blocked it. I guess they find the name a little naughty.)

I did talk to a woman there about what comes in kit (plastic bag). She told me the SS Mesh is #400, but couldn't tell me the wire gauge. So, I'm guessing it's most likely 32g.

Nonetheless, I ordered some #400 SS Mesh + Kanthal 30g + Kanthal 32g from "snaredrummer88" on YouTube last night. So, I'm getting the AGA-T2 ball rolling.

Congrats.

I started out with 32g too. And then I bought some 30g just to try it out and loved it. As soon as I got my first mechanical (The Natural) I got some 28g from a friend to try it out and that's all I've been using. Lol

What size wick hole is the AGA-T2???
I couldn't find it on any of the suppliers sites and found on one of the forums (can't remember which one) and someone said in a post that it was 3mm.

I ask because I just got a RSST in the mail and I'm trying to figure out what size to cut the mesh for a solid wick. I went with my 1.5" x 3" (from eHumans blog) that I use for my AGA and it was definitely too small.

I could have sworn that the RSST's wick hole was 3mm but I guess it's 3.4mm. Darn.

I believe it's 7/64ths. I opened it up to 1/8th inch on mine.

UPDATE:
Because of the fast telephone response, I ordered two AGA-T2 from VaporCigzz.com for $20.99 Rebuildable Atomizer Tank AGA-T2. Sam called me back around 9am to talk to me for 47 minutes... about the A-T2. Said it was smooth Pyrex glass, and told me about the contents in the Kit. He said they're selling unusually fast. He only had 2 left, and even disabled the buy links ... to give me enough time to order them. He has a new shipment coming in next week. Great customer service!!

They also have the AGA-S V2 (Revised Design) - in case anyone is interested. Looks pretty nice!

With all the focus on wicking, and coiling the AGA-T2... it slipped my thoughts to ask how it vapes?

1) Is it true that you have to 'drink vape' quite often? (hold it up vertically like you're drinking a bottle)

2) Do you get juice in your mouth since the coil is right underneath the top cap?

3) Does it leak when you lay it on the side?

1) never had to do that with mesh or ceramic wicks. Just close to horizontal is good.

2) never go juice in my mouth on an AGA T2.

3) Takes a while to leak much, even without fill screw. But don't leave too long or you will have puddle...

These are just my experiences, others may vary.
