Alright here it is.. So i boil my mesh in hot water.. Rolled it up one inner and one outer.. Then do d cotton thingy assemble 4wraps.. Read at 2.0ohm with 32awg kanthal a1.. Fill up my tank put a drop of liquid on the cotton part.. And i fire at 3volt.. Looks fine no hotspots.. Brought the voltage up to 3.6v.. No hotspots.. After like 20puff then feel like the hotspot came back.. Open my top cap and test fire.. There seems to be hotspot on the top part to d positive post nudge it here and there still cannot get rid of it.. Nudge till i snap the wire and i call it a day will try again tomorrow.. One question ericska.. Can i just roll cotton on the wick that im using now or must i roll a new one?

If I can see your coil and wick, then I can help. I'm wondering, you can took the picture of your rolled ss mesh so clear, but you can't take your wick & coil on AGA-t+ clear... Can't help if I can't see it...
Otherwise can you re-wrap your coil, and leave the coil end at center post a bit long. Then twist the coil end back to the wick like the picture show:
Actually I have talk about this in my post #23. Or you can add stainless steel washer that shown in post 23. This can get rid of hot spot there. Hope this help, good luck.

Eh? In your pic I don't see cotton insulator on the wick... You did said you wrapped cotton early...
Edit: can you try the method I did in post #185? Twist the coil end back to the wick, this can get rid hot spot there.

Not too thick either, wrap until your eyes can't see the mesh will do. (If it doesn't short, leave as it is.) So, you did twist the coil end back to the wick. No hot spot liao, you'll notice the resistance might lower a bit by 0.1 ohm or nothing change, but it's ok. Congratulation! You did it!

If you tasted a bit toast, just lower the voltage down by .1 or .2 voltage. I usually set at 9-10 watts on my vamo at this ohms rate, which is about 4.5 volts, but my coil is 30g. Get some 30g, you'll be more happy with that.
Sorry to budge in into your iscussion, just want to share what i did. I just wrapped the wick with a small piece of a plain paper (A4) to act as the insulator. Bend the wick slightly towards the +ve pole and wrap the kanthal. If i had hotspot around the coil,just put a drop of liquid onto the hotspot while firing in pulse. I've removed the filling screw and the amount of vapour is significantly increased.
Just keep on trying, definitely you'll find the best way to build it.

Bending the wick do solved the problem, but what if I wanna pull out the wick from the coil for cleaning? Change cotton wool, fire away the gunk on the coil, then insert the wick back in the coil... I don't want to keep changing new coil...
If you use cotton wool as insulator, it will help absorb the juice up to the coil fast. A4 paper won't absorb the juice as fast as cotton wool. With cotton help keep the coil wet, there won't be hot spot "around the coil", except the top close to center post. But twist the coil end on the lead back to the wick, problem solved.
Yeah, remove the filling screw will increase vapor, because this help air flow in the tank and the juice will be easier absorb to the coil. But if you tilt your device, your juice leaks... That's why I like to roll my ss mesh like a tube(or drinking straw). This help air flow in the tank from center of ss mesh. Once you vaped, you will notice there's little air bubble come out from the bottom end of the wick in the tank. And my juice never leak before unless I forgot to screw back the filling screw.

I didnt use the drill bit method,just insert the wick and wrap the kanthal and yes have to remove the kanthal to remove the wick for cleaning
Use A4 paper cause didnt have cotton wool,but still the wick is dripping wet!!!haha
As for the filling screw,removing it didnt cause leakage for me when tilting it, maybe some physics involved, atmospheric pressure or gravitational rule,dont really know
just drilled out my airhole to 1.4mm couldnt find a 1.5mm drill bit.. after drilling i clumsily drop my hand drill and the drill bit broke.. hahaha.. so ericska i assume that u wrap your coil on a rod and then you insert your wick.. i wrap my coil with the wick on.. basically i gotta change coil everytime i clean my wick right..? mayb i'll try wrapping the coil onto a rod too.. or try and drill wick hole bigger..
alright i guess practice will make it better then as when i start wrapping the coils the top part will get closer to the + point especially when i tighten the nut on the +post.. thanks once again ericska for the step by step guide really appreciate it.. now im enjoying my aga more then anything else i had before.. lots of vapor.. flavour is getting better each time i vape.. most important is no hotspots..
thinking of some mods to the aga t+...using double wick (silica + ss) and wrapping the end with medical cotton gauze. should be easier to wrap like a4 right
my problem is my wick isnt wicking very well..decent vapor but my vivi nova does better..enlarge the hole on the top cap a bit to improve the airflow but still not satisfied with vapor..
