somethings definately iffy with your setup. i use 28 awg kanthal, with a 4/5 wrap i'm at 1 0hm. i usually do a 3/4 and run at .8. also how is your bobas 50/50? everytime i've ordered from ave i got 100%vg with no options. with the 100vg juices i always had wicking issues in my aga-t with mesh, i recently started using ss cable and it wicks amazing.

Ok guys .... this is what I got:

AGA T2
Kanthal 28
400 SS Mech
50/50 juice

Oxidize mesh
bottom cut diagonaly
7 wraps 1.1 ohms
No hot spot
Flavor is muted and my vapor production and th is really bad....

Second attempt and same thing.

I follow busardos tutorial and can not get it to works correctly.

What I'm doing wrong?

Let me tell,

I was exclusively a RDA guy, got into the whole genesis style about 2 months ago - I liked the idea of being able to have 2 ss mesh wicks and setting up dual coils at around .4ohms AND having it automatically wick up the juice without having to constantly drip. Basically getting the huge vapor production minus the hassle of dripping juice, which while driving, is not safe.

I can tell you the AGA T2 was my 1st Genesis Atty i purchased, I drilled the airhole out to 2.5mm and added a SECOND 2.5 airhole as well. I like an extremely airy draw, I direct lung hit.

To get rid of that muted flavor - "It's all in the wick, It's all in the wick..." channeling my Chubbs from Happy Gilmore.

Try different Mesh types, 400 - 500 densities, try everything, try only oxidizing the part of the wick that touches the coils, try oxidizing it by pulsing rather than torching it. Each method will preform differently with each type of juice.

Example: Boba's bounty... one of my FAVORITE vapes for an RDA/Clearomizer - tastes like crap through my genesis most of the time unless i get the coils around my wicks PERFECT. Genesis coils are by far the most difficult and touchy re-builds you can do, if you accept that, it won't be frustrating. Unfortunately it's an expensive learning experience with a lot of waste - but in the end I feel it's worth it. When you finally achieve that perfect wick & coil setup, you wont have to rebuild it for a long time compared to the standard silica wrap on an RDA.

Keep experimenting, youtube search the "Petar K Method" for wrapping coils on genesis atomizers.

Ok i tried again and did 9 wraps .... only 1.0 ohms ..... should i get a 32g kanthal?

I have another resource for you to check out. It's a great little app you can Google or get on play store called Vaper's Tool box. Vaper's Toolbox - Android. With it you input wire type, coil type, gauge and target resistance then scroll to the coil builder enter your data and it will tell you how to build your coil i.e. wire length number of wraps length of lead wires etc. It also has some nice converter tools.

I don't believe that the 28awg Kanthal is your problem and won't be solved by using 32 Kanthal. So check this app out.
Until you get a coil that you are satisfied with I would not even mess with the air hole. You can change your hit and draw somewhat by turning your air hole off center of the coil.
Good luck

Ummmm I've been encounter a problem .... did another coil this time 12 wraps and came out 1.2ohms. Press the fire button and it
fire ... then stop, when check the ohm meter on my svd I got a reading of .7ohms move it around a little and came back to 1ohm ... fire for a few seconds and again the ohms drops ... this time to .5ohms ...is this normal? have any of you guys encounter the same problem?

That is the "wandering ohms" syndrome. It happens; you can find it referenced her on the forum. It seems to happen at various times with my AGA-T2 also. When it does I readjust the coils. I wonder it it has to do with the tension of the wire to the mesh or degree of oxidation. Other more experienced coil builders may give us some clue.

Also guys,

The Center post on the AGA-T2 SUCKS!!! I hate it.

The best thing to do is go to a Hobby Shop and you can buy a small spring & washer to replace those stupid thumb screws on the center post. Look at the design of the center post on the Smoketech RSST it's a spring w/ a metal washer.

Do what I did with my AGA-T2, get a small spring from a ball point pen (click pen), and get the washer from a hobby shop, that way instead of wrapping your wire under those original thumb screws, with the washer & spring now you will be able to just push the washer down, and slide your wire right inbetween it - the spring and washer system works. It keeps the device from shorting.

WIth the original thumb screws, if you move the center post SLIGHTLY, it can short, and then your getting hot spots, and now your vape tastes like crap.

Honestly, I feel the better Genesis Atty is tthe Smoketech RSST. It has the spring and washer already installed, and it has an insulated wick hole, which is important.

On my Smoketech RSST I use 500 SS Mesh w/ 26 gauge Kanthal. Yes 26. I do 4 wraps, coming out to .5 ohms. I also have 2 holes drilled out on the cap to 2.5mm or 3/32.

Ok guys .... I manage to get a coil with a constant ohms (1.7)

Flavor .... well is better but not great

Kinda did like a micro coil with 14 wraps and a 400ss mesh oxidize very well.
Vapor production is nice but I have to puff like 4 times to get it where I like, and notice
that the coil is only burning at the top.

I wiggle it, touch it with the screwdriver i did almost anything imaginable to get it to burn at the bottom
but with no luck.

Any ideas?

You might be wrapping too tightly around your wick. I have a 2.5 mm rod that fits perfectly in my richman rba and I wrap the coil around that first then pull the rod out, check the resist on my SVD, burn a few times, then slide the wick in just loose enough for it to spin inside the coils if I turn own and tight enough for it to not move around on its own.

I think the aga has a 3 mm wick hole so find a drill bit the same size and try it. Its called the petar k method I think.

Also your mesh looks really messy.. Stray ss hairs will cause wandering ohms too. Keep checking the resist throughout your build process. Thumbs screws always work loose too

Maybe try oxidizing the hell out of the mesh might help. Drip some liquid on it and burn that off. I wrap the mesh nice and tight at the bottom but leave the top a little looser so it resembles a slight cone shape so it fits tight to the wire. If i get the usual hot spot/leg at the top between the wick and the centre terminal i adjust the mesh by twisting it and i also poke the coil loops about a bit. At the moment i have a 5/6 wrap coil at 2.9ohm's but it seems to work best at 5.5v. I know, it's far too high but seems to work pretty well with my 100% vg. If i set it at the recommended 4.3v it just doesn't give me enough vapour at all. Using cinnamon danish and get an amazing th at 5.5v. Go figure !. I don't wrap a coil free style i prefer the peter k way. That way i can adjust the mesh to suit the coil, rather than the other way round. Everytime i build a new coil i find myself with a hot leg at the top and so it takes a little bit of fiddling but it don't take long.

God i love this cinnamon. Hands down the best flavour juice i've ever had.:) TH is outstanding !.

PS.
The first 5ml bottle i got of this flavour was dark, real dark !. The next time i ordered it, from the same vendor i might add, i got a much lighter liquid, pastel orange colour, you know !. Anyway my point is that liquids are not always consistent. Maybe it's the juice you've got. Too much water in it, just badly made. Who knows right ?. If nothing else is working !, it must be the juice !
