Hello,

I posted a thread earlier in the APV section but after some tinkering and testing i think I've narrowed down my problem and the discussion is best here.

I have a legacy equipped with an AGA-T2 that all of a sudden stopped working. I've been messing around with it and it seem that when I connect the multi meter to the positive post to the ground on the AGA the voltage is good. But, once I set up the wick and coil i get nothing. Ive taken out the wick and just left the coil attached but still nothing. The connections look good so I'm really scratching my head here. Hopefully someone else will have some ideas.

I might not be understanding this; but it sounds like the pos. isn't touching in the 510. The AGA can have where the center post drifts up.

That was my first thought but he said he checked the voltage on the AGA and it was good. If the center post wasn't making contact he wouldn't get any reading for voltage.

Snowman, are you by chance using a Kick and might it be keeping the Legacy from firing somehow? I'm just grasping at straws here.

AHA! But you see, my sweet Moses, I had no straws!

I am using a 2 cent fuse but I took that out and still no bones. Its seems like the coil is just not making a connection with the post or the ground screw but I super cleaned the hole area to ensure good connect but still nothing. Thanks for all the help though.

EDIT
Another thing to note which I find weird is that a vivi nova that works perfectly fine on another battery will not fire on the legacy. I haven't tested the voltage of the vivi on the legacy so it could possibly be coincidentally that the contact isn't touching. But it does seems strange that neither of them are firing but I'm getting a voltage reading on the AGA of 4.10 which is on par for the voltage of the battery I'm using.

This morning I was trying different bottom switch configurations and such, and I ended up removing the 2 cent fuse and setting up the switch sans fuse. A miracle happened and everything worked. I continued to get it to work with the fuse but to no avail. When testing the voltage of the battery with the fuse on a get a good reading so it appears that everything it's good. I'm wondering if it something to to with once the current is met with resistance from the coil it stops working. That would lead me to believe something is wrong with the coil, or there a short of some mind but everything tests ok. I've never had the fuse stop on me before so I'm not sure if it would look burnt out or what the symptoms of a bad 2 cent fuse are. Either way it looks like I'm gonna be buying a new one and just be carefull while the new one is on the way.

Thanks for all the suggestions and advice, this forum is great.
