AGA-T3 probelsm

Hi all - I've been messing with the above model for a few hours, and can't seem for the life of me, to stop the top wire that connects to the negative post from melting in use.. I dry burn the wick, then burn off liquid a few times, heat the wire before installing, and it still melts !

Any ideas ?

Yeah you can tilt, or pull it towards the center post, you want that distance to be as short as possible, but if you pull and add note tension you'll pop it as well.

Ahhh ! This makes sense now Is there a way to keep the wick vertical, but not make the top burn out ? Or is that wishing for something that'll never happen ?

Some people will cry, but try some cotton. Any cotton it doesn't matter. Toss that mesh for a sec. I'm a big fan of gennys and I only run cotton imo is the best easiest setup.

Roll up some cotton so you can leave a couple inches in the tank and a couple mm sticking out over the top of the coil, then food the top of the cotton over the top of the coil, set it on that top coil, it will keep it cool. If it's a crazy hot leg it won't save the world but it will work if your coil isn't totally for .....

See how the cotton hangs over the top.
