One of the things I think is fascinating is that vast majority of us have reduced nic over time. Some of that is due to more efficient gear but I think all of us at the beginning were getting too much nic trying to break the smoking habit. I started at 18 and am now down to 6. I could easily go down further but don't see the need. I'm definitely taking in less than during the first year.

You would think that if nic was the evil and powerfully addictive brain melting drug that it's made out to be that we would never taper down "by default". For me it happened naturally. Within 3 months I was at 12 and within a year was under 10. I've been at 6 for the last year or so. I'm sure plenty share the same type of natural progression at reducing strength over time.

I had no plans to quit smoking. Zip, zilch, nada. I had also no plans to reduce my nic intake. Guess you could say I just "went with the flow." Didn't set any goals and didn't put any restrictions on myself. Whatever felt good.....better...... I did. vaping grabbed my interest, was fun to try and tasted better. Smoking did NOT ever do that for me, but I am still amazed that I quit.......being that smoking was generally KNOWN to be as addictive as the "hard stuff" and all.

If I had no intention to quit, .........do I deserve the extra "brownie points"? Seems to me I don't because it didn't take any effort......Uh oh, exactly the same resentful reasoning as someone who did it "cold turkey" and went through extremely hellish times to get quit. OTOH, I can drive to the west coast in 2-3 days. Should I do it my ancestor's way with a wagon and oxen to really appreciate getting there? :)

50 years- 24mg with 510 starter kits, then ego spinner and mini nautilus, then lower ohms on isticks
51 years- 18mg with sub ohm and tc mod, lowering to 12mg
Still 51 and making own juice at 9mg on dripper and everything else basically. Still feel like 12 sometimes.
Quit smoking 3 months ago. Smoked since I was 13 with a 3 year quit at 40, back smoking at 43 and up to about 30 cigs a day for most of those 35 years.

I am conducting a study in my college statistics course in which I am looking to see if there is a correlation between someone's age and the amount of nicotine they use. I need at least 75 data points. I ask that you post your age and the amount of nicotine you use. Please only post if you are at lest 18 years of age. For nicotine, the optional range is from 0mg to 24mg (whole integers only; no decimals). Thank you very much for your time. If any of you wish, I can post the results of this study once I have completed it.
Interesting survey Kyle. Nicotine level doesn't tell the whole story though since subohm vapers typically vape a lot more juice than "tootle puffers" like myself vape a lot less juice. Total daily nicotine intake would be a more reliable measure. Juice nicotine level X ml of juice Vaped per day.
