Ah heck -- WTH am I doing wrong trying to reassemble my protank?

So I just received my protank this morning. Filled it, have been using it, very happy with it.

It was about halfway empty just now -- so I took it apart, filled it, put the head in, went to screw the endcap on -- and it won't go flush.

I have removed the head and put it back in several times, and no amount of jiggling or etc seems to make it want to go in further.

I have also screwed the endcap on without the head in place to be sure it wasn't the threads -- it's not, goes on fine without the head in.

What could I be doing wrong that is causing the head to stop early? I'm sure it's something simple and easy, but right now I've just getting frustrated and making a mess... Hoping someone else has had this problem...

OK, took a deep breath and got it worked out.

For anyone else who finds this problem, it seems to be that the head doesn't center perfectly in the endcap.

So when the endcap got tight, I gently wiggled the post with a ballpoint pen stuck into the hole while tightening the endcap. Snugged right up, and everything seems fine now...
