Oh, geez.... This is really terrible.

Everybody is getting hacked. I talked to the fraud dept at my cc and they said they are going to introduce new cards with security chips. I guess they are losing a lot of money due to fraud. In the meantime, they told me to check my statements often and change my password once in awhile.

So sorry for your trouble, Penny!

Get THIS! The medical facility I used for a procedure two months ago was hacked! They think it was personal data and not credit cards. Man, I think that's even worse.
Gonna have to go back to paper documents...this is insane.

I saw on the news about a month ago about medical identity theft, if i recall correctly, it can be worse than someone stealing our financial info. Because then we have insurance issues and so on....... Very upsetting, no matter how big or small, in my opinion! :(

Hit twice on 2 separate cards. Not a happy camper.

Call fraud department and demand they they switch to cards with security chips ASAP--Europe, Canada and Mexico are using them--and we have become a prime target for hackers.

“The fraud rate has doubled from 5 basis points to 10 basis points now,” said Julie Conroy research director in retail banking at Aité Group. “It speaks to the fact that criminals are targeting the U.S. because we are the weakest link in the chain.”

I have Crisp Melon, cherry Cola, grape vine, summer tide, and Jump and jive. This vendor is my favorite (and only 2 hrs away). I will stop in to their store front for a second time for my birthday weekend (next week) and spend some more money. Out of the handful of juice vendors I've tried, Ahlusion is my absolute favorite. Great hits, great flavor, great clouds.

P. S. The dudes (and one female) working the store were really cool

I agree. Here's the thing, though. When I called BofA about this most recent fraudulent charge, I asked them about putting chips in their cards. They said mine already had one, but chips don't help with fraud through online use. I don't like that answer, but it does make sense, doesn't it?

I honestly don't know. My fraud people told me that the transaction I questioned ($49.45) was keyed in, not swiped, so clearly somebody got my cc number and used it online... I have no idea if having a chip and pin card would have helped.

In the meantime, I'll just keep checking my statements more frequently. What else can one do? Maybe it's time to look into Lifelock...

I never thought of that but it does make sense.

Sometimes I wish Ahlusion would let me pay via a good old check. Never had problems back in the days of paying everything by check.

At least no one has access to any of my personal info other than name and address. No personal financial info.

Last year I had a day off from work when FedEx dropped off three packages to my house. Inside the packages were three brand new Dell laptops. I called Dell to let them know I didn't order them and they insisted I did. After a bit of investigating I found out what was going on.... at first I thought- who would steel my CC info only to have fraudulent sale items delivered to my house. This was indeed what happened! The thieves never expected that I'd be home. They purchased these laptops with my CC info and planned on picking it up at my door. It scares me to think what might have happened if my wife or daughter were home alone when the packages arrived.

Anyway...in my case theses people got caught. I found out that a fourth laptop was shipping the next day. Detectives worked with FedEx and had them hold the package at their hub in a nearby town. Someone claiming to be me called them to arrange a pickup, and when the perps arrived they got busted. I thought this was so random, but from what I found out.... maybe not so much

Oh man that is insane Penny! What next, hacking into our cars computers just to mess with us? These hackers must enjoy messing with people. It would be funny if they found out the master hacker was a 15 year old living in his mothers basement in Moscow. Which probably isn't far from the reality of it.:p
They are already hacking into cars. In fact, I'm hacking into my own car. My new Mazda has a Linux-based infotainment system, with 2 USB slots. By plugging a usb->ethernet adapter I can tap in and change the files. Change the background images, remove the speed restrictions on the touch screen, change what region it's set to, to enable features that aren't available here, etc. Very cool and wide open for abuse.

My last order included Cool River Tree Blend and Neutral. I haven't used a tobacco flavor since I started vaping back in January, but Neutral was getting so much love here, and since I was a Kool smoker, the Cool River sounded like a good idea. Well! It tastes, to me, like a very smelly cigar with menthol added. Not good. I finally gave the Neutral a try last night and it's really great! Just as described, " a satisfyingly simple flavor that gives your taste buds a break, but your cravings fulfillment." Perfect for those times when flavors are suddenly "too flavory."
n another note, the bank told me I had to actually call the company that ripped me off and cancel the "recurring charge" myself. Raspberry Ketone Tea, my tuchis! (Tushie for those who are Yiddish-impaired).
And then I got a water bill for THREE times the usual monthly amount. They just called to say they re-read the meter and will be sending a corrected bill.
I think I need a cookie and some more Neutral.
