Hi Mazinny, they wholesale their flavorings and also do complete lines for other companies. They are packaged and named with the other companies details. But that's all I have heard and it could be wrong! There has been speculation that some of The Plume Rooms flavors are from Ahlusion. But no one has verified it.
No one sells Ahlusion brand juice. It would be great though if they did start wholesaling it since they don't want to be an online retailer. That's what makes Halo and Virgin Vapor different. They wholesale their brand of juice. While Ahlusion makes juice for other companies to retail.
Ahlusion has just never wanted to be a large online retailer. That's why they never advertise and would prefer that we don't talk about it. I don't know all the details and if anyone does they won't speak of it since it would have been told to them in confidence.
I don't know why ECF made their ruling but a moderator posted in our topic that Ahlusion was not eligible to be a member since they were considered to be a wholesale company and not a vendor. Maybe it would be in direct competition with vendors that they create juice for? I just don't know.
Ahlusion does what works for them. Perhaps they want to focus on their flavorings which can be used for many things and not just ejuice. They wouldn't have to worry about any regulations if they focused the company in that direction. But this is total speculation on my part.
If we end up with laws the same as tobacco there won't be any online sales with nicotine. I expect it is going to happen.
Fair enough, let's assume what you have heard is in fact correct, that they wholesale flavors and also manufacture e-liquid for other vendors. That is a completely separate business to their retail outlets. There is no competition with their clients cuz no one even knows what who they are in competition with, whereas Halo and Virgin are in direct competition with other retailers through their own retail outlet. Regardless, it's a bit of a tangential issue anyway, since Ahlusion could not be any clearer that they wouldn't want an affiliation with ECF in any way. Almost as if they have disdain for ECF.
You know, i don't really even try to figure out what Ahlusion is up to in re their retail business. Little of it makes sense unless their "retail" objective is something totally different than what meets the eye. Never heard of a business that would like some success but not a lot. Up to now, they have chosen to have a retail presence, but haven't really done anything to market it outside of Michigan it seems.
My best guess is that we are all paying beta testers for their products, and thus the emphasis on feedback output. They would rather have a core of hundreds of devoted on-line purchasers who would keep on sampling new products and providing feedback, who they keep happy by coupons, sales and Gold member status, than have thousands of customers who are repeat purchasers of a handful of e-liquids only, and don't provide worthwhile feedback.
Maybe their retail presence served a specific purpose of getting feedback on different formulas and helping them with fine tuning of the formulas which will eventually be sold to other retailers.
Whatever, best of luck to them. I am set for a year as far as my fave Ahl juices and those from other vendors too. By the time i run out of retail juice n eighteen months or so, i expect to be well on my way as a home extractor and diy'er
