I'm branching out, too. Just posted my first experience with TPR on Best gourmet ejuice vendors thread. Really good!

I'll be over there a bit later to post my first HHV impressions. Prolly sooner than I even get those. Been missing all you guys over there. Now that the old gang is slowly coming back, all is well. ;)

OMG...I haven't been to that thread in forever...I really need to get back over there...especially now that I'm going to have to go on a juice hunt again!

Hi Mazinny, they wholesale their flavorings and also do complete lines for other companies. They are packaged and named with the other companies details. But that's all I have heard and it could be wrong! There has been speculation that some of The Plume Rooms flavors are from Ahlusion. But no one has verified it.

No one sells Ahlusion brand juice. It would be great though if they did start wholesaling it since they don't want to be an online retailer. That's what makes Halo and Virgin Vapor different. They wholesale their brand of juice. While Ahlusion makes juice for other companies to retail.

Ahlusion has just never wanted to be a large online retailer. That's why they never advertise and would prefer that we don't talk about it. I don't know all the details and if anyone does they won't speak of it since it would have been told to them in confidence.

I don't know why ECF made their ruling but a moderator posted in our topic that Ahlusion was not eligible to be a member since they were considered to be a wholesale company and not a vendor. Maybe it would be in direct competition with vendors that they create juice for? I just don't know.

Ahlusion does what works for them. Perhaps they want to focus on their flavorings which can be used for many things and not just ejuice. They wouldn't have to worry about any regulations if they focused the company in that direction. But this is total speculation on my part.

If we end up with laws the same as tobacco there won't be any online sales with nicotine. I expect it is going to happen.

Fair enough, let's assume what you have heard is in fact correct, that they wholesale flavors and also manufacture e-liquid for other vendors. That is a completely separate business to their retail outlets. There is no competition with their clients cuz no one even knows what who they are in competition with, whereas Halo and Virgin are in direct competition with other retailers through their own retail outlet. Regardless, it's a bit of a tangential issue anyway, since Ahlusion could not be any clearer that they wouldn't want an affiliation with ECF in any way. Almost as if they have disdain for ECF.

You know, i don't really even try to figure out what Ahlusion is up to in re their retail business. Little of it makes sense unless their "retail" objective is something totally different than what meets the eye. Never heard of a business that would like some success but not a lot. Up to now, they have chosen to have a retail presence, but haven't really done anything to market it outside of Michigan it seems.

My best guess is that we are all paying beta testers for their products, and thus the emphasis on feedback output. They would rather have a core of hundreds of devoted on-line purchasers who would keep on sampling new products and providing feedback, who they keep happy by coupons, sales and Gold member status, than have thousands of customers who are repeat purchasers of a handful of e-liquids only, and don't provide worthwhile feedback.

Maybe their retail presence served a specific purpose of getting feedback on different formulas and helping them with fine tuning of the formulas which will eventually be sold to other retailers.

Whatever, best of luck to them. I am set for a year as far as my fave Ahl juices and those from other vendors too. By the time i run out of retail juice n eighteen months or so, i expect to be well on my way as a home extractor and diy'er

O.... M.... G.... Wow, wow, wow, a lot happened while I was at work. I wish I could have caught what that email said before it was censored. I've been worrying since yesterday's posts about the future of online sales at Ahlusion. I did catch the post of that email before it was censored (or maybe it was Sunday? I have a lot more time to follow the goings on, on weekends).

I did suddenly become a Gold member. Today. After a little more than a year as a customer, and more than that being registered on the site. So check your status, and maybe follow Bukket's advice and ask.

BTW, can anyone give a summary of the email (without breaking TOS, of course!)?

Wow. I got real nervous about all this talk of Wlad and Ahlusion not selling their juice online anymore. Ahlusion is the only vendor I buy juice from. So I logged in and was contemplating just placing an order this week and guess what! I am now a Gold Member. Thank goodness. Hopefully that means I can still order from them in the future. If not, I am in trouble. So far my Diy career has not been successful, I hate what I make.

I do not want to have to go nuts on a juice hunt again. I have not bought juice from anyone but Ahlusion for over a year now, except for a couple of Plume Room Banana Pudding and Honey Fig Tobacco purchases.

I believe the same as GD. Wlad is smart enough to know whats ahead. Too much money to continue to provide all of his flavors once the FDA"s guidelines are in place.
I do have gold member status and I have spent a ton, sometimes 2-3 orders in a week.
My feedback was almost more harassment at first, as in "this is good but I can hardly taste it" and then "ok better but still too bland, c'mon give me more flavor."
I do not think it will matter much even if you folks do find other vendors you like because the same thing Wlad is worried about will hit them too. (The Plume room has always been a fav of mine as has Nirvana)
One must learn DIY or find a local juice maker and not have to purchase online

What's up peeps? I haven't been on this thread in a long time but obviously curious as to what was going on with AHLs and of course, the dreaded email was deleted but I get the gist of it. I swore that there was issues just this summer with ALHs, customer service, change in juice or something.

I'm not even close to being a Gold Memeber (may have to butter up to those who are ;)) but there are a few flavors I love and would be so sad not to be able to buy them anymore. If this is all true and I'm understanding it correctly, it sounds like they do not want to deal anymore directly with customers (unless Gold members) and instead just deal direct with retailers (if this is true)

Kinda like not being able to buy a car directly from Lexus..you buy at a dealership. This inturn, alliviates AHL from any direct complaints or dealings with customers direct. IMO, this means impersonal and a straight business tatic. To not want your juice discussed on the biggest forum to avoid new customers I always found strange. And I know they really do not care for selling to noob vapors. I had that impression the first time I ordered from them.

I think juice vendors that are more interested in their customer base, interacts with them and wants their business will get my business.

This is not good news for me. I think I've ordered quite a bit from them in the past year but not enough to hit gold I guess. Looks like I will be out of luck soon, and that is upsetting. Ahlusion is my go to vendor, looks like I may need to explore other options and I really wasn't planning on that. :(

Not sure what is up with the possible changes as i have heard no rumors when I have been in the stores and talked to Wlad or the crew. I did place my first online order with them yesterday as only the express is available off the shelf in the store.

I ordered Ahlusion Mocha sweetened and unsweetened, more Just Criminal in a different VG/PG ratio for some more flavor and some Dulce Cubanito to try.

That would be horrible if they stopped online sales.

It is too bad no one here knows anyone that works just down the road from Ahlusion that is in the store 2 or 3 times a week at least and could ship things out from a post office that is close by or a really convenient UPS office. ;)

Come on guys! Think outside the box! There is always a way.

UGH...well there goes my plan to take a road trip to Michigan :glare: Didn't know they only sell the express line out of their store front. Yet another weird scenerio. Why only the express line from their own store???? Because they make all the rest fresh or something?

IF it comes down to only Gold Member status to order online, I would be willing to help any regulars here that couldn't buy anymore. Not to go into a resell business, just to help my friends if necessary.

If I don't achieve that status I'll definitely keep you in mind. I know of a few others, too. I just want LVC, everything else I can live without  But even ask we speak I will be searching for replacements for that. I wonder how long we have...

Definitely not something I would want to do in a regular basis or take on full time but helping out here and there i would have no problem with.

The reason only the express is over the counter is it is all 50/50 mix and the most popular flavors. Ahlusion has around 170 flavors. How hard would it be to stock every flavor in every pg/vg mix, every nic option, every personal little touch such as sweetened or unsweetened in every size bottle they offer and do it all in an average size strip mall store front like the Flint Township location? They would need 2 more store fronts and a team of inventory guys just to stock and track what they have on hand.
