quick question.. are you guys vaping this juice at a certain wattage or on a certain ohm build? i'm on my second bottle and both have been really harsh/that kind of burning feeling. first bottle was blueberry vanilla cake, this bottle strawberry boba tea. both 70/30 and 6mg

It would be easier if we knew what you were doing.... Ohms/wattage? We all do things differently but it sounds like you have thing set to high. At least try lowering the wattage.

Maybe you can state what kind topper you're using so those who have experience with it or something similar can chime in? The builds and wattages you've tried might also be helpful. Also whether you're using a regulated or mechanical mod.

I vape 12mg and get harshness on my Lemo Drop - but I've only had it a few days and am still experimenting.

On small drippers I don't get much harshness - but I run singles only and don't sub-ohm. (Pretty sure there are many subbers here.) No harshness with a Mini Protank 2 with 1.7 ohm, 28 gauge rebuilt coils.

All on iStick 20 and 30.

Right now I am using an ipv mini 2 with a plume veil. Build is .9ohm single coil twisted 28guage. Down at 30 watts it's more of a burn in my nostrils on the exhale, but at 30 I'm not getting much flavor. Anything at 50watts+ it's the burn through nostrils and that kind of tingly burn at the top back of my mouth and throat

Watts and wicking... thats the thing. You can't do one without the other. Try backing down to about 15 watts and work your way up. I can get those results from a very acidic juice like citrus flavors, but neither of those juices is acidic.Try them with an old school atomizer around 12 watts and that will be a good reference point for flavor.

I vape mine in the Atomic BF RDA topper on the Reo at around .8Ω That about right for my preferred 70VG 30 PG ratio...If you're vaping on VW I also use a Orchid V3 topper for the Sig100..I build dual coils for that atty at a .6Ω twisted 28ga. 20 watts..Could be your PG ratio is just too high?!?

Lower your wattage like Louis suggested..and watch that wicking as cotton or cellucotton both can give off a pretty nasty vape if not done correctly.

Looks like we all pretty much vape our Ahl the same..If on the Sig I never go over 20watts..and that is with dual coils. :D

My favorite vape is still a LR carto in a tank. I set my Provari or IPV II mini at 7 watts. The IPV is a bit overkill for the way I vape but it is so awesome and the only device (I have 2) that is completely silent to vape on. I have the rose and the black. Thinking about buying another. The build quality is excellent and it's really nice to hold. I also bought a Provari 3 and a Nautilus with the new connector for the P3. It works great. Way more stable and I don't have to worry about the threads. I had enough reward points to get the Nautilus for free. :)

I refuse to waste money on mods with built in batteries any more. Just had 4 MVP 2s die on me after 6 months. I love my iSticks but I'm not throwing money away anymore. The IPV is under $50 from Fasttech and is the same height as an MVP but not as wide.

A butler would be nice....but someone to teach me how to build a coil or rebuild a Protank coil for my Aerotanks would be priceless! Hopefully in a few more months I'll be able to move around and can then try it. I'll know by the end of the month if I have to redo my surgery. I really want to try a rebuilt coil and see how much of a difference it makes in the AeroTank. There are a lot of flavors that I don't like the taste with the stock coils.

I do have 4 GS Airs that I use at higher wattage. They are really great and the stock coils give tons of vapor and great taste. Plus the tank is under $10 and the coils last longer than any other I've used.

Has anyone else tried Gingers yet? It is really good! Almost as good as Lychee Coconut Smoothie! I did try another sample of Lychee Coconut Smoothie and got it sweetened. I prefer it with the sweetener. I've been on a Pink Label binge the last couple of days. I've vaped 30ml of it in the GS Air.

I go as low as 9 watts (disposable atties) and up to 50 watts (rebuildable, subohm clearos). To me Ahl shines with whatever the device/topper is capable of handling without getting burnt. But then again, most liquids suck with a poorly built set-up or with a device that is problematic. I've even thought a few Ahl liquids weren't about much until I got the build just right (though I never spoke on it becasue I was almost certain it was the build being not right). Unfortunately though I have yet to meet any atomization device, built well or not, that makes me love Memory Lane.

When you get ready shoot me a PM Bukket,..I've got a 3 step process of teaching coil builds with plenty of successes under my belt..Mostly ladies that are too afraid to build due to the sometimes complex ways that videos show how it's done..It's a shame really..it's as easy as winding a yo-yo and threading a large needle . :)

My Atomic is my main atty for the Reo lpg..I build a single twisted flavor coil at .8Ω or just a bit lower..Being a mechanical that's not pushing but 22 watts on a fresh battery..then it drops off to around 16watts when the battery gets down to 3.6v..I usually am just lazy enough to let it get that low as well.

Interesting topic. When I'm not dripping, I use Kayfun Lites at 1.5 ohm and about 15 watts.

I emailed Wlad a few weeks ago and asked him what HE recommends for best flavor. He thinks an RDA (he uses the Mephisto) with a clapton at 0.5 ohms with Koh Gen Do at 15 to 25 watts is best for mechanicals. For convenience, he recommends the Kanger subtank with 0.5 ohm coils as very good. Likes the convenience of being able to use a stock coil when he needs a quick switch and doesn't have time to rebuild the RBA it comes with. All makes sense to me.

I didn't have batts yet that could handle a .5 build but I just ordered a Cloupor T6 with 20a 26650's. I still probably won't go sub-ohm with that, but at least I will be able to go to 25 watts now. I'm going to try a 1 ohm clapton in an RDA. I know the T6 doesn't really go to 100 watts, and isn't the best quality but they're burning them for $50 and I really like the idea of the battery life of a 26650.

Oh, Bukket. I did try the Ginger. Interesting, like the Sasparilla, but not really my thing, FOOB anyway. I'll try it again after a few weeks and see if my opinion changes.

Just a reminder to those that have been here awhile,..and to the Ahl newbies .. Be sure to look on the juices description and it will state whether it is available as a sample or not. I didn't get Alton for that very reason as a sample 'cause I was too lazy to go back and look at the end of my order..but,..(and this is another reason I love our favorite juice vendor) my order was shipped on the 8th..I got it today! ;)

When I stopped vaping Ahl for those three months..I knew deep down that it was a BIG mistake..but hard hotheadedness and pride got in the way. I'm a customer now as long as they choose to sale online. Gold status or not ..and if they stop selling online..I'll just bribe my way into some! :D

Interesting, I like hearing what set-up vendor owners use. I have a Mephisto clone, but mine had issues so I retired it early.

I haven't bought new hardware in a while, more to do with a lack of funds than lack of interest. Luckily I'm happy with what I have, but miss trying new drippers. Haven't tried a Clapton coil, I've kept it simple with a single 28ga coil at .9-1.2 ohm depending on atty, with a couple triple twisted 31ga set-ups. All mech mods.

My fav dripper for a while has been the Atomic. Origen V2 and Quasar a close second. Magma, Veritas, IGO-L, and an assortment of mini drippers also get used. Rayon and KGD for wicking, will retire the KGD and when moving to 6mg nic.

Will also retire my mini drippers when dropping nic level. Don't know why, but the small chamber drippers deliver less nic for me. Plus, I don't switch flavors nearly as much as I used to so a bigger capacity is appreciated. I'll try some of the newer RDAs available to replace them. I bet there's a few hundred new models available since I last checked lol.

I am happy with what works good for me. I vape on several things, Provari, Istick and IPV mini. My fav is probably the IPV. For toppers I LOVe the Taifun and have many with many different tanks and tips. I am not interested in getting anything else because I loathe all these small parts and I also hate the thought of learning and getting out the kinks. I almost always build between 1.5 and 1.8 and vape at around 12 watts. Although Lemon Cream at 10 watts is TDF.
I do have a dripper (Segelei)and it is a dual coil. I use it in the morning to knock my socks off in my IPV at about 22 watts with something with TH in it
Happily vaping this way for close to a year...I do consider a Lemo from time to time but Oy Vey ..all those new parts to keep track of..

I hit my lowest resistance set up first thing in the morning..It's better than that first smoke use to be evon. :D

Interesting....I do the complete opposite. To me, the morning is when I want high nic and the TH of an old school set-up. A couple hits and I am set. Late nite is when I like dense vapor and low nic (i.e., rebuildable time).

One of the coolest parts of vaping is how able we are to customize our experience to suit our own needs.

And I often forget to vape in the mornings :)

Just does not come to mind. Nothing like that "gotta have a cig" feeling in the morning anymore.
