Glad you caught it. I had the same charge and my instructions always include a request to block/reject all future charge attempts from this merchant. They specifically acknowledge same in writing and my complaint/reverse is filed via a web site form so I never need to talk to anyone in India /lol /joke I have NEVER had the same merchant get through my cc security firewall in over 15 years of using it on the web after the first fraud charge and my block. They also send me a international charge notice instantly. These are normally a huge red flag in all cases.
I mention this in the spirit of helping you and perhaps it's time to find another CC company??? I use CapitalOne but I'm sure their are many many others.
The problem is that these guys change their .com every week or so, so blocking wouldn't work. We know the name and address of the company and the company owners even! They are in London. I have no idea why they haven't been busted. Every website has to do with web learning. They stay under the radar because once the CC company contacts them they will reverse the charges. But not everyone catches the charge.
We don't believe it is a merchant. Out of the hundreds posting in the threads everyone uses different merchants and different credit card companies. Some of the cards have never even been used that have been stolen. Amazon is getting the most blame but I haven't used the last 3 card numbers at Amazon so it's not them.
I use Bank of America since it's the company that Alaska Airlines uses for their mileage program. I don't use the card for any recurring charges and they expedite a new card to me every time it happens. It also only takes a minute to get someone on the phone so it really isn't a bother. I have notifications set to tell me if there are any international charges. I always catch it while it is pending but they process the charge anyway. Doesn't make sense to me.
I do all my online shopping from my iPad and always from home. I have good security setup on the router. It's password and MAC address protected. I don't store the card number anywhere. It never lasts long enough to bother storing! Lol.
Personally, I'm beginning to believe it is someone inside the CC company selling the numbers or a breach where the cards are generated. It's just happened too many times to be a coincidence. At this point I'm determined to keep using it until they find the problem.
Krebs wrote an article about these hackers months ago. He's one of them that traced the companies and all of the domains they own. They've been doing this for almost 3 years now without being caught.
So sorry Bukket! that would just burn me up. Why can't the bank find the culprit? Is it AHL connected? So sorry for all these questions hon.
I guess they aren't concerned enough to catch them. Which is ridiculous! Ahlusion is not connected at all. I've used my Visa debit card at Ahlusion every time my CC has been stolen and numerous other times. I've never had it stolen once. Ahlusion is the only company I ever use my bank card at since I know it is safe. I wait for my new credit card number before doing any other online shopping. Most of my vape purchases I use PayPal as much as possible and it comes directly from my bank. The CC on file with PayPal isn't even good anymore since the number was stolen and canceled months ago.
Bank of America does have a service that lets you generate a new card number good for one use. The problem is that it doesn't work from my iPad. The fraud department is putting in for them to make the service work from an iPad and iPhone. I hope they escalate it and then find out if my card number still gets stolen.
Can anyone tell me about the Tellanut and the peppermint bark? I have been looking for the perfect chocolate mint and so far that has been a very allusive flavor. I have not found one I really like yet and I LOVE chocolate and peppermint. Was really excited about the Tellanut because Nutella is a minor obsession of mine and would love to know if it really tastes like Nutella.
It is usually my policy not to order e-liquid online if I haven't tasted it first. I know that severely limits the variety of juice I can buy, but I am disabled on a very limited income and just cannot afford to spend even 10-15 bucks on a juice just to find out I do not like it, problem is, I have tried every mint chocolate that all the close by brick and mortar stores offer and none of them have been very good.
There's a review of Peppermint Bark a few posts above yours. I'm afraid I haven't tried either flavor but Ahlusion does the best chocolates I've ever found. It was one flavor I had given up on until I found Ahlusion. Be sure to read the sample policy! If you spend $20 on custom juice you can request a free 10ml sample in the comments box. That helps cut the cost. They've also been running a lot of sales especially on weekends. Create an account and when you add something to your cart you will see if there is a sale (discount coupon) applied to your cart. I always give 2 options for my free sample in case one isn't available.
15 days after your order is shipped you will also receive an email requesting feedback. It will contain a coupon code good for 15% off that can usually be stacked with the random sales. That will help cut your costs.
Also be sure to choose the correct ratio. What it shows is not the recommended ratio plus they are listed backwards from other stores. VG is first. Most juices are best at 50/50 but if you use cartos or EVODs you'll get more flavor from 30VG and 70PG. That's what I use. Sweetener is not needed unless you want extra sweetener. I do add it to chocolates and coffee.
Peppermint Bark is a very popular flavor so I'm pretty sure you'll like it. I don't like anything mint so it's one chocolate that I haven't tried. Do try the 10ml samples. I know they are more expensive but it is cheaper if it isn't what you are looking for. You can also request changes to the flavor when you get your feedback email. It isn't required to do and its not a review. This is so they can customize the juice to your preference. If you would prefer more chocolate or more mint in that flavor you would put that in your feedback.
