I odn't know if it's been mentioned or not, but Ahlusion now has "Ahlsuion's Tiramisu." I don't know if it read like that before, but it says available "around August 15" and the photo has been changed. I wonder if this another recipe-change for the better?

not too many flavors that ahlusion carries that i like, but thought other vendors did a better job at. tiramisu was one of them. i am hoping it is a recipe change. i can't be sure but i am more than 50 % certain that it was called 'tiramisu" when i ordered.

Well, whatever the case -- I think many of the flavors are being tweaked for the better, but no one should worry too much as I don't think W would ever mess up a flavor -- just the opposite! It's crazy to think he can make a flavor better! I had always read very mixed reviews on Tiramisu, so hopefully it is better -- but I'll let someone else try it first that had it prior. :D

And about that "4-day-old" part -- I recently got some SC and FOOTB it was great! I don't mean just good for unsteeped SC, but it practically tastes WELL steeped! Thinking I was going crazy, I had a friend over that also loves SC and I had him just take a whiff of the bottle and guess how steeped the liquid was. He thought at least a few months, but to his surprise, the liquid was still clear and was only a day old!

I asked Wlad about it and he said he had gotten so many complaints/comments about how long SC needed to steep that he thought he should address it. Now, I don't know what this means, but he said he "processes" it differently now and it shouldn't "need" any long steep to be perfectly vapeable! I can testify! I have been vaping SC for long enough to know that flavor, and that FOOTB taste is very tasty now. But what's crazy is that it doesn't taste like anything is different, except for that weird fresh taste is now very well rounded and ready to go.

Wlad's a doggone wizard, I tells ya! :blink::laugh:

Oh boy, I'm going to need to restock this Neutral in record time . . . had no idea I would enjoy it so much!

*wink* You always catch my subliminals, lol.

And coincidentally, I had that same thought this morning re the fresh out the box taste. I think that has changed for many Ahlusion flavors. So the haters are gonna have to grab another straw(man).

Yep, I picked up what you dropped! I may have mentioned it already, but he told me that Strawberry Shortcake -- my new fav -- has definitely gone though a recipe change. So if anyone had it awhile back and thought it wasn't about much, just know that it is right now KILLIN' other strawberry liquids, or rather, making them want to commit Suicide. Ol' silly rabbit, tricks are for kids! *wink*

I found this on their site :

"As we move away from the traditional flavoring bases (diluted with VG, PG, or Ethyl Alcohol) to pure concentrates, our e-liquids will require less to no steeping time. At the time of this writing we have not yet reached that goal (eta mid 2013) as it requires a fairly expensive reorganization of our facilities and equipment."

maybe this is what he is talking about, and they are just behind schedule.

I'm definitely not an expert, but one could guess that producing large quantities of pure fruit concentrates, for example, might involve frequent use of extraction gear that could affect that gear's availability for tobacco extractions. It could be prohibitively expensive to have CO2 equipment dedicated solely to aromatic tobaccos. Those things can run into the hundreds of thousands for units that produce relatively small quantities. Of course, I have no clue on how much is needed to make 30ml of juice; might be just a drop or two for all I know. Or maybe he's producing concentrates with cheesecloth and mason jars.

Ha, I doubt it, but he did create the aros based on, as he put it, inspiration from one of those vendors (that works with much more basic approaches). I love that he gives props to other vendors!

Very interesting indeed! I have so much in various stages of steep that I can not test that out. Will have to order another bottle. Such a shame.......

I've been all over that site and didn't see that..wooooh nelly no wonder my juices are tasting so much better. Only problem is, I have to retry the tries that I liked in the first place. I also tried my first All VG just to see..and it is flavorful too. If Wald and Alley can do that..they can pull anything off imo. ;)

I'm lucky there because I didn't order SC last time. I have a 30ml bottle I put back for a 6 month steep I can't touch. I will order the reformulated one just to compare it too though.

Nah..one taste of the complex W&A Sarsaparilla or Ricks Req tells me there is much more to it than mason jars and cheese cloth. I couldn't begin to guess what though.

I actually stumbled across this while trying to locate something i remember reading about the non-aromatic tobacco line, when i first considered ordering from Ahlusion.

If you click on "faq" ( bottom left corner of the page ), you will find a ton of information about the makeup of their liquids and the process of arriving at them. I am not too sure that all the information applies to how they run their business currently, or if it has ever been updated, but it is there !

Ah, I love clever references to overrated juices that clearly use Flavor West strawberry flavoring. :)

More seriously, that juice isn't bad. The creams used are actually pretty good, but I hate that strawberry flavor. Ahlusion's Strawberries and Cream is way better for my tastebuds. I do want to try Strawberry Shortcake based on your recommendation.
