I am a bad man.

I was just in the room shaking my juices, and the wifey comes in and asks,"Isn't Daddy going to order some juices this week?". LOL

That's all it took, like the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. I quickly capped my bottles and hurried over to the puter. While I was a little disappointed to see the Aromatic category completely gone, I still placed an order. 30mls of Neutral, 30mls of JG blend, 10mls of SVC--my first venture ever into a dessert vape...

I need help, I gots it bad.

I just received an order of Boba Tea from Ahlusion. It was pretty disappointing thus far. Fresh out the mail, the flavor was extremely bland, with an after-taste that tasted slightly like real boba tea, but it was like something had gone wrong, like the milk in the boba had spoiled or something.

If I had one word to describe the flavor, it would be bland. This is after I ordered it sweetened too!

Sadly, I doubt steeping would fix this flavor, but I"ll give it a try. Still, this might be my first and last order with them.

The Boba Tea might just not be for you, but I'll tell you, I think it changes quite a bit with steeping, although it IS always a subtle flavor. I never get it sweetened, so I don't know how that affects it. For me, when it's fresh I get sort-of a buttery, honey-sweetened green tea taste. I like it, but not as much as I like it later. After a week or so, it goes blah for a few more weeks. Around 5 weeks, it picks up again, with the black milk tea taste that I want. I've never had a bottle last more than a couple of months (and I get the 60ml bottles, with back-ups!), so I can't tell you what it does long term.

Again, it might never do it for you, and it will always be a subtle flavor, but if you don't like it now, put it away for a month or so, then come back to it. It might surprise you.

Thanks, but this just shows that their liquid is inconsistent. A review posted by Rpad over at youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3xMbRL2f8k mentioned that the liquid is sweet, almost too sweet, yet it's supposed to be a subtle flavor now?

Boba Tea shouldn't taste like honey green tea either way, but thanks for your input.

I've seen the review, and don't disagree with it at all. I would agree that it's quite sweet, even getting it unsweetened. I don't think that conflicts with my assessment of it as subtle, though.

I'm not going to try to talk you into liking it, though, or even giving Ahlusion another try. I was just sharing my experience with it.

What she told you is that it will change a lot, but you still may not like it. Seems sensible to me. Most of my favorite Ahlusion juices spend six or right weeks steeping. I learned early that I just don't like them fresh, and they're so good after steeping that I live with it. If you find that unbearable, there are plenty of ready-to-go liquids out there.

How are they inconsistent again? I don't see where that conclusion comes from.

Shout out to YCY for first recommending to me to try Vanilla Black Tea -- it is so very good! Yes!!!!!!

Yeah, the black tea itself is more noticeable in that one than in the other black tea flavors, I think. That and Berry Shangri-La are my fave teas, but there are lots of good ones.

Ahlusion has never been inconsistent. The inconsistency lies between your expectations and the review you watched. I have ordered MANY times from Ahlusion over a year. I have trying over 30 flavors and not once did I ever get one ejuice that didn't taste exactly as the one I had ordered previously. I will tell you this much, I don't like everything they offer. But I love the ones I do like. Don't give up on a vendor from a juice that didn't meet your expectations. Try other flavors from Ahlusion.

What you are doing is taking two opinions as facts. RPad is someone who drinks Boba Tea, and is much more of a connoisseur in that department than most (at least more than me), so when he speaks about a Boba Tea he is comparing it, likely, to something he drank quite recently (and he drinks the good stuff! haha). Some of us are like that with tobaccos -- you'll get two completely different takes and they can be from the exact same bottle and JDS (and same crusty drip tip! Gross.). If you recently smoked an English Pipe Blend and not only did I not, but also have never had one, we will have two completely different assessments (sometimes).

Then again, sometimes individuals themselves can have two completely different takes on a liquid -- and within a day. Not just from Ahlsuion liquids, but any (see Skeebo with Gold. LOL) It's all us working our way through the liquids, our respective tastes and our own interpretation of those two in tandem (not to mention different delivery systems will also play a huge role).

If flavors change over time, they are not consistent. I had no prior expectations, and a honey green tea is not what boba tea should taste like. That's what I meant when I said inconsistent. Having said that, I tried the Boba Tea in another tank, and it does taste better, but still the order I got has no sweetness to it.

Okay. Hmm...have you ever DIYed? If so, you will know DIY 101 is: flavors change over time from the way they taste directly after mixing! So if we get our bottles fresh, and having not been opened since they were mixed, that is just-mixed liquid. I am not sure what consumable product won't change over time -- hell, even a Twinkie will (after a long time).

I've been drinking Boba Tea my whole life. Every boba tea from every tea cafe I've ordered from tastes very similar. I understand that sometimes flavors change in e liquids, especially more expensive or gourmet ones, thanks for reminding me of this. However, I think that vendors of eliquid should try to keep their liquids as consistent as possible, i.e. listing expiration dates would be a start, and not require "steeping" times. I don't think the variation is in the taste buds of the user. I've never had a flavor change after vaping two different flavors side by side.

You forgot to say that taste is subjective!

You know, I was actually thinking of writing that as I was typing the post. Ha!

Hey Ray, how has Ragtime's juices held out for you? Would you suggest I order them? I watched this cute Asian gals review of them tonight and the way she described them had me running to Elevated-Vaping's site. I'd planned on them anyways after seeing your review of the company, but now I want them right now. Sadly (or luckily) EV's website doesn't work on my phone, so I have a day to reconsider investing in them until a get to a computer tomorrow.

So.. can you talk me out of it or should I go full steam ahead? I want to try all four the woman reviewed but I'm assuming EV only offers 30ml, so had planned on the custard and tobacco for now.

I'm crazy about three of the four Ragtime Vapor juices. I'm not high on Jubilee, mostly because I haven't been enjoying fruits this year. The other three, I'm quite fond of and I think you'll enjoy. I'd be really curious to hear your take on Honky Tonk. It was inspired by Boba's Bounty and I think it outshines that juice.

Then no eliquid is consistent, because every one of them changes over time. What have you been vaping?

I have to say consistency out of my mailbox is top 2 on my list of reasons I enjoy A+ like I do. How the juice transforms is then up to me(how I store and choose to steep based on my taste). I also appreciate when there is a change, Wlad will openly discuss the changes. Juice based on customer feedback...fantastic concept :).
On the other hand, consistency from others such as MOV is top 2 on my list of reasons I will stop ordering from.

Consistency has never been a concern of mine with Ahlusion, and my confidence can be easily seen with the size of my Stash.

I have had so many back to back bottle openings with some favorites it was scary.

Some of my back to backs have been hundreds of ML's, and they were satisfactory for me :).

Hello! I've been trying to catch up on the thread and ended up reading a few pages. I was so far behind it would've taken a week to read all the posts. Lol.

I see that Lemon Vanilla Cake is available. Now that is magic! I placed a large order today and got a 30ml bottle since I've been addicted to Lemon Cream I'm sure I'll like it. I was going to order last night but there was no coupon so I waited and today there was a 20% off. Stacked my 15 and saved $80! I have all these flavors here and lately I've only been vaping 6 of them and had to restock. I got 2 60s of Mango Lassi, Chai Latte, and Lemon Cream. 1 60 of Pineapple Cream and Piña Colada. 1 30 of Lemon Vanilla Cake. Express samples of American Blend #3, Cool Blend, and Wipeout Watermelon for my son. Asked for a free sample of Caramel House Blend or Strawberry Shortcake. Whew...it was a big order. Ahlusion Cherry Cola is missing. I sure hope it comes back. It's one I've been vaping and I'm almost out. I can't drink soda so I really enjoy vaping it.

Then I looked at the forum again and I forgot to order Apple Tarte Tatin and Neutral! At this rate I'll never try the Tarte Tatin.

My spinal stimulator implant trial was a success! That thing is amazing. I'm used to waking up with a pain level of 8 or 9 and I sleep with a lidocaine patch on my back and each hip. With the stimulator I used no patches and woke up with a pain level of 1 or 2. It was so nice to wake up feeling good. It's been terrible living without it! I should be having the surgery for the permanent implant on September 16. I can't wait!! Not looking forward to the 6 weeks of recovery wearing a back brace. You can't bend, stretch, or lift anything until everything has built up scar tissue to hold it in place. But it will be worth it.

And we just signed an offer on our old house! Just have to get through the appraisal and inspections. Closing date is October 17. It will be really nice to not have 2 mortgages to pay. I put off ordering juice for so long I've run out of Mango Lassi! I keep it in my Aerotank Mega clone. I love it! It puts out tons of vapor and the taste is awesome. I need to get another one. I do have an EVOD glass that uses the same dual coils and it's great, too.

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their favorite Ahlusion flavors. :)

Well, okay. Ahlusion prints expiration dates (or "best by") on every bottle (though I imagine you know this, so maybe you're talking about other vendors?). Ahlusion does not require steeping times, that is something we, as customers, talk about (unless I am missing something written on their site?). The only way you can judge consistency is to gauge the same flavor next to two (or more) bottles of the same nic and same ratio (and they shouldn't be too much older than each other). There will always be human error when things are made by hand, but coming from someone that has a whole of experience with eliquid, Ahlusion has great consistency from bottle to bottle. One flavor may not be as accurate as it can be, but that's flavor-accuracy, not consistency (though they are pretty damn solid in both departments).
