Shari, first of all.... prayers and good thoughts coming at you for your surgery!

We'll, first of all... your choice of attys should be hassle free. You wont want to be fiddling around with finicky equipment, or something that requires lots of attention- you may not have the dexterity or patience to deal with this.. I know your thinking about concealabilty , but Id be more interested in something I could "set & forget". If it were me, I'd opt out with the Russian 91 or Kfun lite. I'd also sneak it in in a soft eyeglass case....

Shari to nurse: "Sweety, can you please hand me my glasses" :)

Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. It is appreciated. You bring up some good points about dexterity and patience. I will probably have very little of either. Remembered I have an MVP tucked away somewhere so that will have a long enough life to last me a few days since I won't be chain vaping. Now for that 'set and forget atty'. Any suggestions that are pretty inexpensive. Budget is shot. Can't find my old Evods, I think I gave them all away. I am sure I will not be able to bend my head down to fiddle with anything so my thought of dripping on my 510 atty is shot.

I could try self control and not vape at all. I don't do self control real well. We will see.

Shari so sorry to hear that you are facing two serious surgeries. :( Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope both surgeries go smoothly and that you will have speedy recoveries.

You might want to consider pairing the BVC coil nautilus mini with an iStick or one of the Innokin iTaste VV 4.0s that should be appearing at retailers very soon if you can't find your MVP. Some people find that the Spinner has enough power for the Nautilus, others not so much.

The iStick has antiquated vAVG power and really doesn't really go down below 8–9 watts but you shouldn't need to go lower than that with the Nautilus unless you are very partial to low power vapes. The new VV 4.0s go to 15 watts and they will be offering 750 and 1,000 mAh versions.

ShariR, I have a used kayfun lite clone I could send your way for you to use. I could even coil & wick it for you, so all you'd have to do is fill & vape. :) Would that be something you'd be interested in? If so, please pm me your address & I'll get it shipped off to you in the next couple of days.

Thoughts and prayers will be with you for your upcomming surgery!!

My thoughts, exactly! Although, they weren't asked for!:D

Shari I just want to wish you the best in your upcoming surgeries...will be sending you good vibes, healing energies, prayers, all of the above! And praying for a speedy recovery for you!...Don't really have any suggestions beyond what has already been offered...I do agree with the iStick for something small, stealthy and hassle free.

Hi all. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I have read some great ideas on how to travel with your Provari and gear. Now I would love to hear some ideas and opinions on how (and if I should) get my Provari into a hospital room for my stay after surgery.

I found out right before Thanksgiving that I will be having my 3rd multi level cervical fusion surgery in January with all the bells and whistles of plates and screws. A few days in the hospital. Then 3 months later I get to go back in the hospital for a longer stay to have another multi level fusion on my back, again with the plates and screws, etc. and a longer stay. Not fun and not happy about it. I could not talk the neurosurgeon into throwing in a bo@b job or a tummy tuck; I tried. lol Though it would be a waste on an old lady but thought I would give it a try and attempt to make dr laugh so I would not cry.

So, am I nuts to try to take my Provari and r91 to the hospital with me? I do have a Vision Spinner I could take instead and a couple of 510 attys but dripping is not very stealthy. I do not want my precious to be stolen or confiscated, but I want to vape so I do not go nuts.

What would be a good atty/tank to put on the Spinner if I do not want to chance taking the Provari and r91? My mind is not working properly to think this through. Comments would be appreciated.

Oh, goodness! Sorry to hear of your back troubles! I am recovering from a microdiscetomy as we speak, pretty simple compared to a multi-level fusion. I hope it helps immensely with all of your pain. Best wishes on a trouble free recovery.

I would recommend an istick or mvp as far as battery life. Could you get someone to take one home and charge to bring back to you the next day? Also, would they allow an atomizer in the hospital room (like those used for essential oils)? If so then I would invest in a cheap one of them and some peppermint essential oil and turn that baby on when you are vaping. If they see the vapor they will think it's coming from the atomizer and the peppermint smell would cover the odor of the vape as well.

This is a great point about the smell.

Recently, I was vaping some HHV - Legend in a restroom, and the better half walked in after and blurted out that it smelt like I was Smoking a Pipe.

I would take both the MVP and the Spinner. I would use Pro-tanks or Evods with wicks I rebuilt previously. I would have 2-3 glass cases with different equipment in each. I can send you an Evod too. Please PM me if you want me to. No problem at all.
Self control is over rated

ShariR, my wishes are also with you.

I agree on the Pro-Tank and if needed I can send you a new one still sealed with coils that I recently scored. A Nautilus is also a great suggestion but the only concern I have for both is the dexterity of changing the coils.

If you need anything at all please do not hesitate to ask. I have been stockpiling Kanger or Nautilus parts for a little while now. They are just sitting in a cupboard, and you could use them more than me with your upcoming situation.

Shari;
Sorry to hear about your downtime. Hope it goes well and recovery is easy and speedy. I would get a couple of those vision spinners or 650 joyetech batts and a couple of clearos. Dripping might be problematic but the 510 attys are probably the best bet for it.

Recommend the old Kanger T2. It's a top coil and gives (IMHO) the best mix of flavor and temp/throat in a clearo. They are the least problematic for me as the wicks/coils last longer than other dual bottom coil clearos. The tank is also a little larger than most. Take two fully charged batts and two full tanks. Backups and charger and several 10ml bottles if you can. Get a small soft case to keep it in and take it in your purse or laptop bag and good luck!

Yeees..T2's are really convenient. I also have a stash of those if you need a couple.

Sorry to hear it Shari, I hope all goes very well for you. You're in my prayers. I spent a few days in a hospital bed two years ago, I had just started vaping. The nurses were cool with it and I just vaped away. The doc even said it was fine as long as my door was mostly closed and nobody complained, he said no different than putting on a nicotine patch. That was an enjoyable stay, despite the surgery. I hope you have a positive experience too.

Thank you for your kind offer. I have a couple of r91 and a kayfun clone so I do not need another. Save it for someone who really needs it. I also think they may be sticking me in a hard collar thingy and don't know if I will be able to fill it. Lots for me to figure out before the surgery. Got date for 1/15. They wanted to do it before Christmas. Ha ha, no way!
