Oh, goodness! Sorry to hear of your back troubles! I am recovering from a microdiscetomy as we speak, pretty simple compared to a multi-level fusion. I hope it helps immensely with all of your pain. Best wishes on a trouble free recovery.

I would recommend an istick or mvp as far as battery life. Could you get someone to take one home and charge to bring back to you the next day? Also, would they allow an atomizer in the hospital room (like those used for essential oils)? If so then I would invest in a cheap one of them and some peppermint essential oil and turn that baby on when you are vaping. If they see the vapor they will think it's coming from the atomizer and the peppermint smell would cover the odor of the vape as well.

What an awesome !!! stealthy idea to mask vapor with other vapor. I have no clue if they would allow that or if I will have a roommate. I am hoping they will just be keeping me knocked out but you know how they want you up and moving 10 minutes after surgery and then they escort you out the door. lol I am told I will be there about 3 days.

Sorry to hear about your discectomy but it is good that you did not need a fusion. If this is in your neck, your recovery should be pretty quick and you should have great mobility soon. Hope you are back to 100% soon. I do not think you will even need PT.

Thanks for all the words of prayers and support. Those I will take all I can get. The offers of equipment I want to weigh carefully before accepting anything. I do not want to take something that I would not absolutely need or someone else may need more. All of the love and support can be felt through the interwebs by me.

I am going back to surgeon in about 2 weeks with my list of 100 questions that he did not answer when he told me of surgeries, so I should have a better idea of what I will be able to do mobility wise. I think they are going to stick me in one of those hard collars where I can not move my head and neck at all. Last time I had one of those it was for 7 weeks. Not sure yet. Nurse on phone would not say anything and I had to make appointment with surgeon to get any questions answered. Even simple ones. They treat it like a State secret. Probably afraid they will scare me off.

I just bought 5 60ml bottles of my Caramel Pear Black Tea. That should get me through a bit of time after surgery. lol

(((shari)))) Best wishes and speedy recovery!

My :2c:--while the iStick is fun, I'd probably take my MVP with me to the hospital--it's reliable and the battery lasts longer (2600 mAh). And a couple of largish tanks and spare coil heads. Probably a ProTank 2 because single coils use less juice and don't need as frequent refilling as the dual coils and they produce less vapor. And I'd take some unflavored of lightly flavored menthol or coffee eliquids--those smells are ubiquitous and people hardly notice them. Anyway, those are my strategies for stealth vaping.

I would also take some Swedish snus or dissolvables (Ariva or Stonewall)--just in case vaping turns out to be difficult, for whatever reason.

Good luck!

Thank you Katya. I think the mvp wins the trip. Still thinking on what topper. I would go without before using snus (yuck) or the FDA approved nic replacements, but that is a good suggestion. I am pretty sure the hospital would give me a patch if I asked them, but I do not think I will need it. I am going to try to go the week before surgery with 0 nic to be safe and see how it goes. I am switching between 12mg and 6mg so I am hoping my vaping need is just for comfort and not really a necessity. The flavors ideas is something for me to consider. I was thinking of bringing my Caramel Pear Black Tea and Smooth Criminal. Maybe just the CPBT.

Since I just ordered a bunch of it I will have plenty to bring.

I read the news everyday and I'm horrified to think there are so many evil people in this world. Then....at times (like this) I'm reminded how many good people still exist! You guys who offered to send Shari hardware are the best! Thanks for being you, and thanks for reminding me that good always prevales ....

Shari- good call on reducing nic. I was told that nic constricts blood flow and inhibits healing.

It was lower back, L5, S1. I am nearly 3 weeks from surgery and am doing pretty good. He told me I could sit in moderation and I think I overdid it some so I've been pretty sore. I will be doing PT, should start next week. I think the doc is being pretty conservative but I appreciate it, I definitely don't want to re-injure myself.

Since you are in Nashville are you going to the Howell-Allen Clinic?

Shari, my best wishes for a speedy recovery and I hope everything works out. If you need my "Stealth Mix" just shoot me a PM. It's PG + VG + the NIC of your choice. I mix it for friends and myself. No odor/smell is emitted in the vapor. For some, it has a very very subtle "sweet" taste from the VG. It's also therapeutic in the sense that your taste buds may be nuked and or you have a soar throat. The challenge with other juice mixes is that we can't smell/detect what others are smelling.

My best wishes

/Steve

Shari,
I hope you have an easy recovery. Back problems are so painful, I have first hand experience! I have enjoyed reading the posts from all these wonderful people extending a hand and support!
It's refreshing to know that this still does exist in a world that has become so cold! Thank you folks for the reassurance of heartfelt abundance in caring! This made my day!;)

And, if any of you haven't tried Papaya Lassi, you need to go ahead and order it! This one has become my all time favorite! :D

Bought a 30ml bottle of apple wild wood, I just can't get over the apple tart taste, I have another apple flavor from a different company and its the same. I love tart\sour apple from the store. It's been steeped for about a month or better, still the same apple taste as foob. Any recommendations or do I just not like apple vapes? Still got probably 28 or 29ml of the 30.

I happen to like that one, maybe try Apple Berry Splash! You might not like the WW mix with the apple! Do you have other WW mixes, and do you like them?

Caramel Apple is a great apple vape. I agree that maybe you just need to try another.

I'm getting ready to place my first ever Ahlusion order, but I have a few questions for the experts!

So far, I'm thinking of:
- Caramel Wild Wood
- Autumn Mist
- Lemon Cream
- Caramel Apple

So for my questions:
I'm mainly going to be vaping in a Russian 91%. What VG / PG level is recommended?
Sweetened or unsweetened? How sweet are the flavors without adding sweetener?

Thanks for any help!

I started using AHL at 50/50 and most of the time I was yelling "too mild" but I was also in my first year of not vaping. I eventually became accustomed to it but have recently moved to 70pg and the flavor is like HOLY CANOLLI good. I think most peeps do the tobacco such as your Wild Wood at 50/50.
Maybe do half and half 50/50 and 30/70pg.
No sweetener unless you like extra sweet.

Thanks! I've noticed that many of the flavor chasers are going with a lower VG content juice, so it got me wondering. In fact, the ability to customize the percentages to some degree is was was drawing me to Ahlusion in the first place!

Whatever drew you here is great, what will keep you here is the exquisite taste of the juice, the lack of any bad taste and the sheer quality of the liquid
