I wasn't really ready to order from Ahlusion, but I just couldn't resist the 30% off. My first order - all for 10ml bottles @ 12mg, 50/50 PG/VG, no sweetener - was for:

I asked for Caramel Pear Black Tea as a sample, or if not, Sweet Cherry Something (I think - lol). Not really a tea vape lover, but thought I'd give it a try as it seems so popular among the regulars. I do like AIV's "A Quiet Morning", though.

Assuming I get the sample, 50 mls of juice for $28.20 shipped? Awesome. It would have been ridiculously awesome if I was confident enough in my picks to order 30 ml bottles. Too bad Ahlusion doesn't have a custard, as that's one I'm looking for in a no-D & AP version. I just ordered Gotti and Omertà from Mountain Oak Vapors in an attempt to fill that slot.

What do y'all suggest is a minimum steep time on the Ahlusion e-juices I ordered?

I actually wanted to order a coffee vape, but didn't have time to consult with you guys as to which one. So I'd like some opinions for the next order - assuming there is one, anyway. I use medium to dark roasted coffee beans in a French press and drink my coffee with about a rounded tsp of non-dairy creamer (lactose intolerant) and between 1/4 to 1/3 tsp of brown sugar or honey per 6 to 8 oz mug. Any suggestions as to which Ahlusion coffee flavor I should try? I like Nicoticket's Wakonda, but I'm generally not a fan of tobacco flavors.

I love the Mocha and Bobo Tea Coffee. Tiramisu has not been a big hit and I have heard more complaints than favorable reviews. I did not like it. Tasted burnt.
I like Strawberry Shortcake much better than Strawberry Vanilla Cake and the best cake of all is Lemon Vanilla Cake.
All of the fruits are spot on true and clean tasting so your Passion Fruit should be great
Chai Latte gets a lot of ravs but I have never tried it.
Sweet Cherry Something is very very mild.
I think all of yours should steep 2 weeks. I do not think you will get the full flavor FOOB. Unwrap them and do an air exchange and shake daily.
Some have considered the flavors mild, it is not 'in your face' flavor. It is clean and free of bad taste such as plasticky, waxy taste that is in so much juice.
Hope you like them and yes you get a much better deal with 30mls.

I like Strawberry Vanilla Cake but I think I like the Strawberry Shortcake better but I go back and forth on that.

Tiramisu is one of my "always must have on hand" flavors. I use the Tiramisu as my sweet coffee vape (I mix 3 - 3.5ml's Tiramisu with 1 - 1.5ml's Cafe au Lait in my Kayfun), I find my mix to be perfect for me. I don't drink much coffee any more but when I do I take it light and a little sweet (like 1 Splenda packet per 10oz. mug). I also brew my rare cup of coffee with a dark bean in a french press. Ahlusion's Mocha is decent and the longer you steep it the more the chocolate comes out.

Mimosa Cocktail Passion, I haven't had that one so no experience.

Chai Latte, I've got a bottle steeping right now. Let's go take a quick smell.... (yes, I did just go smell it) it smells like chai. I'm working a stretch of day right now and don't have time to clean and rewick a Kayfun to try it. Maybe tomorrow.

Regarding the Caramel Pear Black Tea: I always use the example of do you know how some people can't eat Cilantro because their tastebuds interpret it taste like soap (it's actually a genetic predisposition)? In my year and a half in this thread I've seen that some of us have a predisposition to taste some of Ahlusion's teas as having a celery like taste. For me it actually tastes like celery and nasty chemicals. So far I've found that CPBT and Black Peach Tea do this to me but the Boba Tea is one of my "must always have on hand" flavors. I also don't get the nasty stuff from Vanilla Black Tea but I haven't dipped into that bottle yet.

Sweet Cherry Something is a VERY light flavor. I even let a bottle steep for 8 months and it didn't get any stronger.

I'm a bit OCD when it comes to steeping my custom made flavors from Ahlusion. I let everything sit for at least a month or longer before I try them.

If you like Ahlusion's strawberry flavor I would recommend Lemon Berry Kiss (strawberry lemonade), I get mine in equal berry/lemon. Another of my "must always have on hand" flavors is their Mango Lassi. I find it quite true to the drink. The sweetness of the mango, the slight tang of the yogurt. Orient Whisper is a nice unique lychee vape and what I have in front of me right now.

I'm also not a fan of tobacco flavors but I must admit when Mozzer let me try his Winter Wild Wood a few weeks ago it was pretty darn good. Peachy Criminal also makes it into my rotation once in a blue moon.

My dirty little secret right now is that my most vaped flavor for the past few weeks has been Five Pawns' "Gambit." I've been tearing through that stuff lately. I dripped a 30ml bottle in two weeks in addition to my normal Kayfun rotation which is a lot for me. Northern Lights' "$100 Apple Pie" comes close to it in flavor but is missing a little something although it does come in a higher VG than Gambit.

I wish Ahlusion made a vanilla custard as well but until then I guess I'll just have to tough it out with my Grant's Vanilla Custard.

I hope you like some of the juices you get from Ahlusion. You'll find there isn't much B.S. here if you ask for an opinion. The group here is pretty honest about really liking Ahlusion's product and that it's probably the main vendor we order our juices from even if there are some flavors we don't agree on or outright hate.

I ordered AHl 2-3 times a week for a year to get gold status. I also wrote and told him all the time that the juice was too mild, too tart, too bland. Until I found Lemon Cream. Then I called him and sang opera for him. Hey that is what got me the status.
Seriously I am surprised he did not ban me because I complained a lot. One time I wrote and told him his crappy website was broken
and he walked me through the log in process to get it to work right.
He probably gave me status as a joke.

I think chanel is right about the discount. Mine was pretty minimal (like maybe 70 cents off ANY size?) until the holiday sales. It would be nice to think that it's going to stay that way, but I don't think it is. Also, I don't think it gets shipped quicker, either. My last couple of orders came pretty quickly, but they were mostly XPress, because of the great sales on it, whereas most of my earlier orders were custom.

I got Gold status after almost exactly a year of big orders, and providing feedback on pretty much every one. Usually Alley responded to my emails, but I got Gold shortly after an email that Wlad got back to me on--a question about the now-gone Coconut Macaroon (How come it was on the menu, but had never, ever been in stock?).

So, keep ordering, keep sending feedback and communicating with them, and you should get Gold status eventually.

And to VBN, I think your military discount is a better year-round discount than Gold. And if you've been loving the Gambit, have you tried the Tarte Tatin Apple? I've never had Gambit, but I love the TTA, and I've heard it favorably compared to Gambit.

My guess is that the day when a good tasting custard flavored juice can be made with low enough levels of diacetyl, acetoin and/or acetyl propionyl to make Wlad feel all warm and fuzzy about selling it to his customers is the day that we will see it on Ahlusion's menu. Wlad refusing to jump on the cash cow custard bandwagon speaks volumes to me about where he places his priorities.

Some of you may remember being at the other place, but I remember there asking Wlad to make a whole bunch of liquids (including an amaretto) and his reply was, "it can't be done without using (insert those chemicals)". At the time, I remember thinking, how is it all those other places do it, yet they are all stated to be free of it? LOL. Yeah, what a difference a couple years can make. It is possible, but considering what'll be missing, it'll also likely be that the taste won't send the correct signals.

The Vape Kitchen claims their custards are free of all of this. I've had the Mango Thai Sticky Rice and it was good. I've been meaning to order some of their other custards to try but they are expensive. I heard the coconut custard is divine. I don't like coconut - of course!

Back to Ahlusion, I guess I'll have to order the darn passion fruit just to try the mimosa! I am making those in the morning for new years brunch. So excited! I love mimosas but they must be heavier on the champagne side
