Hahahaha! This is hilarious. The mental picture you paint....

@Jumpin' In... : You have obviously reviewed and discussed a lot of different flavors. All I can really add is: if you like peach but have been turned off by every other peach you may have tried (I was, and I tried a lot!), please give any of the peaches a try. Smooth Criminal (creamy peach tobacco, light on the tobacco); Berry Potter (bright peach/strawberry with a light mint breeze, which I swear I do not taste.....it's more of a coolness); Poppin' Peach (pure, ridiculously real peach); Strawberry Sunset (Strawberry/peach/nectarine) or Peach White Tea (that natural peach, and the tea is fresh and light and not too astringent).

If you dislike peach, then disregard the above.

On another note, did anyone else notice on the site that the orange pop-up phallic symbols came back for a while.....but now they are back to the orange bouncing ball?

SC has peach now? huum that's quite a change up.

I'm still fairly new to Ahl juice. But, let me say that I tried the Caramel Apple and it was just ok. So I put it aside and picked it up after almost exactly 2 months. It was wonderful. Don't be dissuaded by other apple liquids. Give it a shot next time and let it age a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions. Lemon and Lime Cream were already on my list of flavors to try in the future and neither was available in the Express line yesterday. Ordered the plain Boba Tea yesterday and I've added the remainder to my list. However, I'm a little leery of apple vapes, because of what I tasted in a Halo sample pack - which I thought was pretty bad.

Will do as suggested with the Strawberry Vanilla Cake.

I had read about Mountain Oak Vapor's Chai Tea at the SpinFuel site and was contemplating making an order when I saw the Ahlusion sale - so I ordered Ahlusion's version instead out of curiosity. (Think the cat died. ;) ) Ordered the Mimosa Passion Fruit because I like passion fruit. <shrug>

I find that for me most of Ahlusion's juices I tend to vape with a good steep on them. Mostly because I have a good size stash over the last year or so. The ones that I do like fresher are the coffees. They do not seem to be as good to me after many months. Most are good for a real long time and keep getting better.

That would probably mean that Rick's Request would go...I wouldn't like that very much. It's one of my faves.

We've got to get more people to try it! I think it would quickly become a top favorite. Many people were scared off because someone said it took a long steep. It doesn't! It does get a bit richer after a couple of weeks but it is delicious fresh, too.

The Chai Latte needs at least 2 weeks to steep. I would give it a month at 50/50. I order everything in 70PG and I love Ahlusion Chai Latte but it needs time for the spices to come together.

I think that was me that went on about RR needing a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong steep, and when I say long, I mean I didn't appreciate it until it was damned near black and a year into the bottle. Some may think that is excessive, but I swear it took that long. However, and this is key, the recipe may have changed (that never happened before. LOL) considering, as it would seem, no one really ever bought this liquid -- at least no one but Rick. I may try it again and post about whether it is the same fresh as it used to be. At first that liquid tasted like rose water or something. It was very strange and my tasting of it as that was not abnormal. But, it would be awesome for it to be fresh and taste the way it previously took forever to develop into.

I will definitely be trying Rick's Request on my next order! With that said, my next order might not be for a good long while. I think I just went crazy with the sales over the last couple of months, and now I'm at the point where I have SO MANY Ahlusion juices that I really like, that I really, really, REALLY need to lay off for a while.

I still have a bunch that I meant to talk about, but then school started up again after Christmas break and I've barely had time to breathe. I'll try to get caught up this weekend!

I also meant to say that the comparison of RR to Boba Tea (I forgot who made it) was spot-on. There is definitely something symbiotic between those two. I was just reading the first Ahl thread and going over what some us had to say about RR back then and RPad brought up that comparison with RR and Boba -- and that man knows tapioca pearls!

That review is from July, 2013, so it the formulation may have changed. Dunno. But anyway, the review starts at 1:25.

Makes sense that RR would use a tapioca flavoring like Boba does. I've yet to try RR, maybe next order.

Hey Mann, I haven't followed this thread regularly so you may have commented on this already, but what did you think of Wlad telling someone here that the non-aros don't, and never have, contain any tobacco derived ingredients? Didn't Wlad say to you that they contain steam distilled tobacco except for Smooth Crim which used the same tobacco extraction method as the aros?

Let's see, what do I think of that? Well, ask your coils. :D. Seriously though, I don't know what to think. As to what was said to me, the benefit of the doubt should go to Wlad and that maybe what was being said to me was interpreted wrong by me -- though, as some us know, when it comes to talking about his liquids nothing is ever really simple (though not as bad as BWB). The best way I can describe it is that the man is guarded. But definitive statements such as the one he apparently said about the non-aros are not left for interpretation. So, I will say that whatever flavoring he used, if it wasn't from tobacco or Ahl-extracted, it sure as hell used to taste like it.

Not to divert, but I had similarly conflicting talks with 5P vs. what has been said elsewhere and what is apparently what they are saying now. In the beginning, as far as I can recall, they told me that they extracted in house. [I always wondered how the hell they extracted apple pie and ice cream -- and in house.] I guess their refrain now is that their ingredients are "locally sourced" (whatever that really means. TPA is in Cali, so does that mean if they buy from them the ingredients are locally sourced?). I don't know what is up with this industry sometimes, but I do know that it is cutthroat out there and likely for that reason, vendors feel that they can't share too much, and when they do, sometimes, it conflicts with other things they say. Maybe they are in constant damage control mode.

I've gotten to a point where I don't care. Or, at the very least, I only care when it's all on the table like with Open Source Vapor. Yeah, providing the actual recipes to the retail liquids is just about as transparent as you can get (with regard to the flavorings). Funny thing though, OSV uses Medicine Flower and they are a company that sells CO2 extracted flavorings. Don't know why I am bring that up though.

Do you find that higher PG juices generally steep faster than higher VG blends? I ask because, if given a choice, I would generally pick flavor over vapor production, so I would not have a problem with higher PG mixes.

Thanks for the input. I'm not a big tobacco fan, but I will try one or two peach flavors - over time, anyway.

Someone did ask what equipment you are using Jumpin in? We all favor what we favor but I can tell you that it was not until I changed my delivery system that I was able to enjoy AHL at its best.
I use Taifuns usually built out at 1.6-1.8
I used an A6 RDA with fresh wicks on an iStick. I intend to try an RTA once I get my mitts on a iStick 30 or equivalent, which will probably happen in the not too distant future. Maybe an Erlkonigin Nano or Lemo Drop?

Great choices for RTA's. Both are on my wishlist.
Yes higher PG is a def shorter steep time

I tasted each of the subject juices using an iStick and an A6 RDA with a fresh wick. All of those juices in my first order were from the Custom line - only because of the free sample. :) I ordered from the Express line yesterday because of the 40% off sale.

I'll take your suggestions to heart. I think my flavor profile might be similar to yours, as I also like AiV's April Moon and 'Twas Brilling. (I also like A Quiet Morning and, to a slightly lesser extent, Zombie Apocalypse.) However, I'm trying to move away from juices that contain AP and AiV has not yet confirmed that their juices are AP free.

I hope I find at least one juice I like enough to re-order a 30 ml bottle. I guess I shouldn't expect too much, given my experience with AiV, where I only really like 3-4 of the 22 or so I got in the "Little Bit of Everything" sample pack.

Thanks for the reply and suggestions. :)

Don't hesitate with Ahlusion's apple. It's really, really good! If you like bakery, I also recommend any of the tarte tatins. I think pear is my favorite. IMO Ahlusion's apple, pear, peach, mango are all spot on and to die for!

Cut up my credit card that I had the numbers memorized on so that I could not order at the drop of a hat. Ordering would mean stopping to find my purse and then find the credit card and then find my glasses so I could read the numbers... hopefully during all that I would catch a glimpse of my overflowing stash and re-consider ordering ANYTHING.....new strategy has worked good for the last week or so. PINEAPPLE BRULEE might be the deal breaker that makes me go find my purse and dig out my card....

I JUST did get to memorizing my new number...ugh

Higher PG=more flavor
Higher VG=more vapor
I order most of my AHL these days in 70pg. I used to be a strictly 50/50 because I like a mouthful of vapor too but with AHL I do not even really feel I lose vapor production at 70pg

Great choices for RTA's. Both are on my wishlist.

".but what did you think of Wlad telling someone here that the non-aros don't, and never have, contain any tobacco derived ingredients?"

I remember having a discussion with Wlad a few years back, where we talked about how he achieved SC's unique tobacco flavor... Out of respect for him I'll keep what was said to my self. I remember the discussion started something like: "Wlad- I love what you've done with SC; I even love the slight cinnamon notes in the background. The cinnamon thing threw him over the top! Mann & Ycherry- I know you know how this ended :) :) :) :)

Like Mann....I really don't care anymore. The bottom line is that Wlad is a genius of sorts. His positive qualities well outweigh his negative ones. I always appreciate his transparency- even if his story changes a bit now and then:) I know in my heart he really cares about giving us a quality product and he'll stop at nothing to keep us safe and healthy.

Mann- you mentioned my first love- BWB. I desperately tried to get some kind of transparency from Don about his famed RY4 and well... I shouldn't have to tell you the rest.
