Ahlusion E-Juice Part 3

Do you find that higher PG juices generally steep faster than higher VG blends? I ask because, if given a choice, I would generally pick flavor over vapor production, so I would not have a problem with higher PG mixes.

Some of the reading I have done on DiY juices and high vg tends to suggest that either they take longer to steep or some people use a higher % of flavoring. I would suggest you ask Ahlusion. I do not vape high vg so I have no personal experience with their steep needs.

Well all the talk of Ricks the other day made me go in search of my sample. While rummaging in a much too full steeping box I found many things.
Ricks Request-50/50 at least 6 weeks steeped-never again. Put me in the "no can do" club
Blackberry Mimosa-50/50 tried it fresh and not memorable. Its alright now and I can certainly vape it but not a re-order (and I love Blackberry)
Maple Dreams-50/50 and probably 10 weeks steeped. Good, made me cough, unusual, I like it but it would have to go in a Taifun for a real decision.
The Godfather-only a week old-I can see why the uproar-exquisite. I do not taste cinnamon, I might taste cocoa. Again a tank is the only way for me to really judge

All of these were tested at .8ohms in a sigelei dripper at high watts

Not an Ahlusion thing but I got a free bottle of Athena with my bottle of Colossus from Cyclops. My oh my, one fine green apple vape

Interesting that what you said about Godfather (OG SC), I don't taste cinnamon, though I do 'get' what people are talking about, but what I taste is more akin to fudge.

I did put The Godfather in a tank and happily vaped it though the day and I can see how you would get fudge. After the tank of TG was gone I immediately went into a tank of Just Criminal. At that time I thought maybe TG had more of a milk chocolate and tobacco taste while JC has a more dark chocolate taste. They are both exquisite. I am not really a tobacco lover but I will be ordering more of this.
The others were just not my gig and maybe that is why they stayed in the steep box. So I have found a few I am not crazy about. Bound to happy when I have also found so many I can never be without.

Funny that you mention BT, 'cause I almost mentioned it in my post. I did order and try it. And though I can understand how folks like it, I found it really similar to BT, so put it aside. I mentioned that in an earlier post, and someone (can't recall who) was quite dismissive of the similarities. I still stand by it. I liked your comment about BB not tasting like BB anymore.

Hahahahaha. Now that's funny. I can say pretty definitively that it won't taste like Boba's Bounty -- hell, Boba's Bounty don't even taste like Boba's Bounty anymore. LOL. I haven't had Rick's Request in a long time, but somehow I think you may want to start out there before Boba Tea (BT is a funny one and may not work for you, though it is well received.)

I finally succumbed to the pressure and ordered a small bottle of lemon vanilla cake. In spite of all the rave reviews, I passed on it forever because I just don't really like lemon, except on fish or chicken. Well, I have to say, it's pretty nice. Maybe not the best they offer, but I like it.

Changing the subject a bit, I'm hoping to get my hands on a Reo soon, and I want to top it with an RDA. What would you all recommend? I currently use an hh.357 on an Aurora BFT, powered by an MVP2. This wacky combo had been pretty good to me for a while, but I'm finding the 357 is hit or miss in terms of longevity. And I often get a lot of juice in the mouth - I'm thinking this has to do with the grommet falling apart/falling out of the Aurora. So if I'm going to drop more money on hardware, maybe it's time to try something new. Hoping to get a Woodvil when they become available again. If nothing else, this will be a much more compact rig. The current setup is a good 8 inches from end to end.

A RM 2 or a Nuppin for the atty...have both and love them...

It's a shame Boba's Bounty is different today. Was also one of favorite e-liquids and became something so different. I used to have at least a 30ml of BB and Gorilla juice in my steep drawer. And also getting fudge from Godfather is a head scratcher for me lol.

At this point probably not a reorder. Van Mango is the next on my order list I will try along with Moonlight Serenade.

I got a sample of Rune a month or two ago, and I think it's kind of odd, too. At first I didn't like it, but it's growing on me as it steeps. I still don't think it will be a reorder for me, either.
