So after thinking Sapphire wasn't great to thinking it was a fine liquid, I am back to not caring for it too much. For whatever reason, the liquid just feels like it's missing something. I dunno, but there seems to be no beef. That said, it has one of the most alluring aromas out of the bottle that I've encountered, but too bad that smell isn't 100% of taste. I think it may be one of those liquids that require a special build or a very particular set-up to be fully enjoyed, whatever it may be, I don't have what it needs.

It would be awesome if it turns out to be a steeper, but I am thinking that Ahl liquids are now not requiring that (which is still VERY weird!).
I am thinking the same thing. I loved it at first. Didn't vape it for awhile while vaping other juice. Pulled out my clearo (T3 rebuilt, 1.9 ohm, kgd wick) and "where's the beef?" Still an intriguing flavor, but so light the love wasn't there. So I just put it away again. Sigh...

Don't they all kind of do that, though? I can think of a lot of their liquids that sometimes just blow me away, and awhile later, nothing. I'm beginning to wonder if it has more to do with mood, or freshness of the setup, or maybe a clean palate?

I remember spending some real quality time with Luna Fortuna, and I reupped and couldn't find what I remembered about it. JG Blend was dog merde when I first tried it, but after letting it get old, it was amazing. The 2nd bottle I left forever, and couldn't find the magic again. I can't find rhyme or reason to it. I definitely must try the RR though. So many good things said about it. I still find magic in the Sapphire, but it comes and goes.Fresh atty, mid day (clean palate after lots of water) seems to be the ticket for that one. It's subtle, except when its not?

I'm still enjoying Sapphire. I have it in a LR carto tank and vape it at 3.7 volts. I tried it in a Nautilus and it ruined the flavor to me. There are times when it doesn't taste right so I put it up and try it again later. The magic appears often enough that I am filling a tank about every 3 days. I do agree that a clean palate is needed for Sapphire. I've noticed that if I've had any sugar it tastes terrible!

You've got to try Rick's Request. It is so good all the time.

I think a lot of the time it's the newness of a flavor that catches us. I'll enjoy it for a sample or a 30ml. I have a lot of flavors that I bought again and never got back into. I'm trying to learn to let myself run out and wait to see if I crave it again.

Hi Louis! and yes the mysteries continue. Lots of variables, device - wattage/ohms, type, coil cleanliness/new or old; Weather- temperature, humidity; Us humans- state of hydration, how clean the palate is, just brushed, mood we're in; The juice- vg/pg ratio, age/steep, flavor itself ...

For me and as time goes by my stable and range of juices expand. I go through phases where I vape different flavors for a good bit and then it fizzles. I get tired of it. Two things (maybe three now)and flavors remain constant for me and have never waned; SC/Godfather and Sleigh Ride extra mint. These are my base ADV flavors. I experiment with other juices and vape them a lot over shorter periods but I always come "home" to those two. For whatever reason, other flavors and the passion for them just doesn't last or at best is intermittent.

I saw a mention of using a carto tank LR @ 3.7v's made me think I haven't used one of those in probably a year. Used to use Boge LR carto's all the time. Had a bad batch and just turned me off completely.

The company I bought them from said they would replace them on my next order. Next order never happened lol. I still have a bunch of them in a vape drawer. Before building coils it was my favorite way to vape.

I know exactly what you folks are talking about. I'm the same way. Some juices truly are an anytime vape for me. Some juices I love at first but become underwhelming, or a mediocre flavor will suddenly turn wonderful after some time. Most often though, my appreciation for a juices wavers significantly during different sessions. Tons of factors at play, many I'm aware of and some that remain a mystery.. so I simplify with 'it is what it is'.

If I'm describing a juice during my first vape session, I always point out that it's a first impression. It's a way of saying that it's highly likely that future descriptions/opinions of said juice could drastically change. FOOB is commonly used to mean fresh and not steeped, but also points to that the person is stating an immediate opinion as they begin to wrap their heads around a flavor.

I know I'm vaping "old school". Lol. But it is still my favorite way to vape. I just hope I can continue to find them! I mentioned it since I think Sapphire has more flavor at 70PG and vaped at a lower res. I have a lot of flavors that I haven't tried yet in a LR atomizer. I need to spend an evening doing that.

Has anyone tried Pineapple Brulee, Memory Lane, and Crescent Moon? I'm tasting the same base in each flavor and wonder if it's just me or not.

Not only will you still be able to find cartos for quite some time, they'll be dirt cheap! I was 2 seconds away from buying a bunch simply to have the little rubber caps they come with. They are indeed that cheap! Also remember that cartos are still often used with cig-a-likes, so since those will likely always be around, so will cartos (in my guesstimation).

[I use those rubber caps to sit my 510 attys in while giving them a Atty Refresher cleaning.]

Cathy..unfortunately I have found the hard way with blueberry that if it's a good one vape it quickly. Blueberries are fleeting.

This is so true and there are only a few that stayed GREAT LOVES for over a year. Lemon Cream and Shipwreck and sometimes Just Criminal (but then sometimes I wonder what I saw in it)
I also think a clean palette and mood plays into it and even what you vaped last week maybe

Yes it's nuts, and for me inexplicable. And certainly not specifically the Ahl juices. I've bought small bottles of whatever, loved them and then bought large bottles. Thinking I've found stuff I can now settle down with. What a disappointment and frustration when I vape them only to find that they're not at all what I recall they were.

I only used to drip, but I've really fallen for the convenience and low maintenance and operating cost of the Kayfun Lite lately. I'm finding a lot more bite in all of my juices with it though. I use considerably more juice too. I'm thinking the bigger quantity of vapor probably is telling me it's time to reduce the nic level from 12 to 6 to lose a little of that bite? Any experience?

Also, impressions of Pineapple Brulee? I was in a use it or lose it position yesterday with a feedback coupon. Re-upped my wife's ADV (I know, the concept escapes me) 60ml of CocoBerry Cream and added a 30 of the Pineapple Brulee to qualify for a sample of RR. Ok FOOB or needs steeping?

Oh yeah, thanks for the Blast from the Past, Mr. Mann. That old thread was epic wasn't it?! SO many good people. Fortunately many still around, but I sure miss some of those that haven't been. Tez being one of the more notable. He was so inspiring in his thought process and diplomacy.

Just put on a new HH357, and first drops were Sapphire. It's everything my first impressions were, which were fabulous. Those Vapor King 510's are OK, but they don't bring what Hanna's atty's do for a juice. I think much of the difference is the air flow, which is considerably tighter on the VK's. I wish it weren't that I can get a couple dozen of the VK's for the same price as ONE of the HH's, but if it's about flavor, the only thing I've found close to the HH is a cisco spec 306. I'm going to try to drill open the air holes on the VK's, and see if it doesn't bring them closer to what I find in those pricey atomizers.

Give Pineapple Brulee a few days to steep. I really hated it FOOB. Then the magic happened. RR is terrific fresh. Make sure the Mrs. tries it, too!

Just placed an order for my "go to" juices- Godfather (I miss the old SC so much), Caramel WW, and Maple WW. But I also took a chance on a few I've never tried- Autumn Mist, Procyon, and Memory Lane. Looking to change up a bit by adding fruit to my rotation... I was on the fence about ordering Procyon- I like cherry so I'm hoping it's good
