Just a brief note to let you all know (since this is the only thread on which I post here):
I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I had my first (neoadjuvant, meaning before surgery) chemo yesterday. I'm feeling good so far, thanks to some very expensive anti-nausea meds. I am not a religious person, so all I could want from you guys would be jokes and/or silly cat videos.

I was unable to find any date about vaping during this time, just the usual advice on ways to quit smoking...and hey! it isn't lung cancer! So I'm planning on continuing with it (like I could just lose that addiction, anyway); at this time of stress, I really need it.
I also bought a really nice wig, so don't be surprised when you see my new avatar --it's straight hair! Also having fun making some hats and scarves.
PennyLynn, On vaping and cancer/chemo: I have cancer; I've been going through chemo for 18 months. My docs know I vape and have no issue with it; my oncologist even asked for information on vaping. I suspect they are just happy I don't smoke! This isn't to say that you shouldn't talk to your care team; prolly, you should. It's only to provide a perspective of someone in a similar boat. My thought is, Do whatever makes you feel better! :)

Sending healing thoughts !

Awww... Penny, I am SO sorry to hear that you are going to be going through this. I hope they caught it very early, and treatment is fast, and very effective! Sometimes I think how blessed I have been, and maybe Someone DOES hear me when I say my prayers, so I will certainly include you IN them. And you also, Little Bird!

Oh Penny, I wish you strength. I know this is rough, I truly wish you the best.

You know how I feel?
Breasts are nice, but if I have to offload one, I'll still be able to breathe, walk, talk, hear, see, eat, poop, and sew. Not so bad.

Sorry to hear the news Penny. Please ask about after-care drugs. Not sure if they still use it but ask about Tamoxifen.

I'm sending lots of love your way, and I'll keep an eye out for adorable cat videos for you. BTW, I love your attitude!

@JGD Jessa, I'm so glad you, a long-time Ahlusion fan, found our little home here. We're kind-of hidden away in the deep dark recesses of ECF, so this thread can get a little slow, but we are all die-hard A+ fans, and because we're tucked away here in the lounge, it's OK if we go off topic, talk about hardware or vacations, or even DIY or (from time to time) other vendors, or even (as we all do sometimes) gush unabashedly about Ahlusion.

Oh, and @LouisLeBeau , if you are heading out to the mothership, could you please tell them that some people are VERY DISPLEASED that Yin Yang is no longer on the menu, even though said people (OK, me) sent glowing feedbacks, and were not given the chance to vote for it on the website. I didn't even know it was on the chopping block until it was gone!

That's how I feel about Alpha Centauri. I don't think I ever knew it was at risk. I would have bought a ton of it if I had.

My very best wishes and hopeful thoughts for you. I am so happy you've got a good anti nausea medication. That will help a lot!!

Those are both flavors that I would have liked to see stay ON the menu. I will be heading up there tomorrow (today!) and I will mention to Drew (Wlad if I see him!) both of these, and how it might be nice to see some of these flavors, if the rights aren't sold, appear back on the menu once a year, with some advance notice, if only for a few weeks so those of us who like em, can load up and refrigerate to have some supply. They were just TOO good to disappear forever. :)

Yes, please. And thank you.

Advance notice would be fantastic. I won't die without my Yin Yang, but if I knew it was going to be available for a short time, I would definitely stock up majorly. It's very, very good steeped, and I would happily find some freezer space for long term storage.

Yes please!! That would be fabulous!! I would be thrilled! If he did sell the rights, perhaps he would tell us who has them now so we can buy them? Louis, you are our one man Ahlusion Super Pac, advocating for the Ahlusionati!!
