I have to say I admire those of you that are that in tune with your taste. So much so that you can judge juices to the point you can. I crack a bottle and either like it or don't but never can I pinpoint things like "it seems like one flavor is congregating towards the middle" I am too unpredictable and unsure of self to ever be able to do. There are always too many variables in my life/world which include builds, equipment, hydration, how hot it is in the house, mood..YES mood factors in for me. I was over the top in love with Just Criminal for months and now all the sudden it taste like greasy tar to me. I attribute this to my mood but maybe it is more. My juice is always kept in the same way....either fridge or cool dark area of the house.
Yeah, I agree with all of that. But there are some liquids I've vaped SO much of under so many circumstances that I'm pretty confident picking them apart. For those I'm not so confident about, I try to assess them under the most controlled, familiar conditions I can. So, I use a Vapage or Cisco 510 atty at 8-10 watts, which for me is the standard for flavor. I can vape with other gear at other wattages too, but I try to first judge using what I'm most familiar with. Of course, some liquids are better with bigger atties, wattages a 510 can't handle, etc.
As far as the flavor of new Smooth C, of course the flavoring isn't literally in the middle. But my perception is that the essence of the Criminal flavoring is the center of the flavor, and is too strong, while the secondary flavor effects on the periphery of that center are essentially the same. And, yes, our preferences and perceptions change too -- which can be a little scary. But at this point, there are a few I'm confident in for the long haul.
Here's to hoping that dancing continues.
