The dilemma of the day..."Holy Moly there is mint in my tea and I don't like mint"....

I don't like mint much, or menthol at all. I've tried three of the white teas, and if there is mint, it's way in the background. Two ideas: First, nothing I vape is less than a month steeped. I know that many (including Wlad) insist that liquids taste just fine fresh, but to me anything fresh ranges from awful (Smooth Criminal) to just undeveloped (vanilla cakes). (Exceptions exist, like Sasparilla, which I prefer bright and fizzy.) I really believe the flavors need to meld with each other and with the solvents to reach their full potential; until they do, they taste to me unsaturated and washed out, like an underexposed photo. I taste no cake in any vanilla cake before two months or so. Of course, my taste buds could be on their last legs too.

Second, I think the mint is a technique more than a flavor. Fijian Nights has mint too, but I doubt many notice it. I think it does some magical trick like boosting the fruit, or separating the fruit from the tea, or whatever, more than actually being a mint flavor per se. If you taste it fresh, I doubt the different elements of the juice have had time to blend properly, so you might just get a drop of this or a drop of that, rather than everything evenly distributed as intended.

Of course, since we all experience the flavors differently anyway, and use different delivery devices at different levels of power, and prefer different mix ratios, and want less or more nicotine, it's hard to account for all the variables and eliminate red herrings. I believe Wlad when he says he likes his flavors fresh or steeped, but I don't think he experiences flavor at all like regular vapers anyway.

The bottom line is that one person's perfection is another's yuck. There is no right or wrong, just what you like. Soon enough we'll all be vaping a Vuse anyway, and the great news is that no steeping is required to appreciate that flavor.

I ordered early this morning and the 30% off sale was still on...Don't hold me to that though as it was before the shop opened..I ordered all 60ml and saved over $50! Can't beat our Ahl,...really how many vendors have sales that last this long?!?

Oh and @Bukket5 will LOVE this..I got Pineapple Cream as a sample..Seems the ones I really want to try are unavailable in samples.
It's okay though I can try some in 10mls that I haven't ever had..It may take awhile but my goal is 50 new flavors to try this year. :p

Wow... Been through a few of the white teas, and NONE of them had mint in the description at time of order, or in the flavor profile. Might be a new trend? I like the white teas for their subtlety and nuance. Don't think I'd want any mint in there...
Didn't get the Orange Nectarine my brotha...I forgot about that one as I placed my order..Next time though I will.

I will NEVER smoke a Vuse. RJ Reynolds will NEVER get another penny from me!

Same here! They got enough of my money trying to kill me. Next THEY WILL add crap to their juice to kill us.

Nope, I, too, will go without before I fall to that. But I am preparing, will lower nic more if needed, and carry on.

Bingo! I discovered early that a touch of mint lifts the fruit. A little brighter if you will. I heard that early from the Ahlusionati and confirmed it. I think Grapevine is the only non complex fruit flavor I order without a touch of mint.

I am vaping Limelight for the first time tonight. Very nice, tart lime. Description says raspberry too but the raspberry is subtle and just rounds out the nice tart lime. Good stuff!

One of my staples...and I'm a mintaholic, always get it with Breeze. I seem to just need that touch of "cool" to take away any berry heaviness (I know, sounds weird, but that's how I experience it).
I love all of Ahlusion's flavors that have any lime...even Crisp Melon. I find the lime and honeydew to be an unbeatable blend.

Mint????

I've been through three bottles of Peach White Tea (and one of Raspberry WT) and I never tasted any mint--not even a hint... Is this a new addition? Now I'm afraid to reorder. My mintless version is just about perfect and has become my ADV.

I ordered mine when it was first released so the mint has always been there. I even sent feedback that all I was getting was mint! Alley sent me another sample of it to try and I haven't been brave enough to try it. It is steeping. ;)

Okay I need some help from my ahlusionati. My mom, a 30 year smoker FINALLY said she would give my istick 20 and gs air set up a whirl. YIPPY! So I asked her what flavors she would like and of course, it's tobacco. (Of which I don't vape and have pretty much none of.) is it okay to do like 12-18 mg in the gs air? That's not a sub ohm tank so I would imagine so. Also I need tobacco suggestions! I was thinking maybe neutral? She's an ultra light 100 smoker. Thank you all for your help

Woah Nelly....Fijian has MINT?!? Are you sure about that?!? I know it's been awhile but I detected none in what I had.
Now that touch of mint makes a lot of sense now..Lifting the fruits huh?!? That Wlad..what a genius eh?!? :w00t:
