It wasn't done as a tribute (it was filmed a few years ago) but this is perfect:

Dayum . . . even the lyric changes . . . so perfect! :(

I woke up to this news this morning on the radio. Completely shocked, completely devastated; he and his music were such a HUGE part of my entire adult life!

RIP, David Jones.

Thanks for the replies everyone and some great information Kayta! I was diagnosed with COPD back in late 2012. After tons of tests & different medications, I was finally doing okay...not great, but okay. About 6 weeks or so ago, my breathing suddenly got pretty bad again, like I was back to where I was several years ago. I spent Christmas Eve getting a cat scan to see if I had a pulmonary embolism. Thankfully I didn't, but my pulmonary doctor did see that I have severe emphysema. She said I must be genetically susceptible to this, since I am pretty young to have it so severely. So after some trial & error, I am currently on a low dose of predesone and trying a new to the market inhaler. Unfortunately I spent all of last night jumping out of bed every hour or two with severe leg & foot cramps, being caused by one or the two new meds...such fun, right?

I have vapes 50/50 since 2012.....used 100% VG from 2010 until 2012, but as a lot of folks find, that much VG caused so much lung heaviness. My dilemma comes in that too much PG will also cause my legs to cramp, so finding a happy medium for my lungs & my legs is so frustrating. I know the best solution would be for me to stop vaping also, but I just don't think I'm at a point in my life right now where I could do that & not go back to smoking. Too much of a very stressful situation currently & guess I'm not strong enough to battle both things at once.

Anyways, sorry for the book and thanks for making me comfortable enough to share all this with you guys...the Ahlusion group will always feel like home to me! :)

ETA: I vape at 12 watts and 1.8ohm Nautilus cotton coils in Kabuki tanks. No sub ohming for me & no deep inhaling, but I do inhale. Will definitely try your suggestion to not inhale as much as possible @Kayta.

I used to have regular and severe leg cramps, till a doctor suggested taking a magnesium pill an hour before bed. Sure enough, never had a leg cramp again. Since then, I've reduced the pills to every other night, and then every third night. Still no cramps. Give it a shot!

I could not even comment on the David Bowie thing until now. It meant too much. And I'm only going to do it here, this is my home online. This hit hard, really hard. I thought I was too old to cry over the death of a rock star, but well, here I am. It's been since John Lennon died when I was 13 that it's hit like this. I was doing OK until we were half of a bottle of wine in, and Changes came on, and I lost it. Couple of hours later, and I still can't get it back. I couldn't even begin to pick a favorite Bowie song, since he was such a huge part of my life for so long, but Changes is the first one I fell in love with.

Rest in Peace, David. Thank you for all you've given us. ❤

My fav David Bowie's are Starman and Suffragette City. I discovered him and the Spiders From Mars LP in the summer of 1973. Same year I discovered .... I was 14-15 and we used to take the bus to Hollywood and people watch
Man... the forum will not even let you write Lysergic acid diethylamide in abbreviations? C'mon.

:cry::cry::cry::cry:

Thank you, Katya -- I'd not seen/heard that before.

That was a lovely version of that song. It's one of my favorite Simon and Garfunkel songs, but I hadn't heard Bowie's version before.

I worry that this is a much more realistic version of how the world sees us currently, though...

I think it was Louis that took all the Strawberry Shortcake AGAIN. We might have to have a meetup and storm troop his house. Who's in?

They had it just last Saturday when I was there. I only bought one!
