Hmmmm. I have a few istick 20s that I don't use and an entire flock (I think 9 -- one of each color and a second blue porcelain.) of istick 30s that I use a lot. My problem is that they seem to make the connection threading out of some soft metal like aluminum foil. It's why I never end up using my 20Ws. Is it better on the 60W?
They did fix the threads after the 20watt
I never looked at the Cloupor Mini. More research.
I have one and I like it but I like the VTC mini a little better. I have red and cyan in that

Thanks @Bukket5 and @chanelvaps for the advice. I know I'm way off topic but I like knowing who I'm getting advice from. Out there, on the general forum, it could be anyone.

I wrote to sweet-vapes to see which 18650 batteries they recommend (mine are all 3+ year old Panasonics so I might as well get some new ones) and asked which of the mods while I was at it. I'm leaning eVic because you can get it with Cubis tanks. They use the same coil as the JoyeTech AIO and I really like it plus it uses the same "never leak" technology as the AIO and it works (and I tend to flood everything.) I can get the eVic w Cubises which brings the cost of the mod itself down to about $25. (And the coils seem to handle way more than 30ml each.)

The threading on the iStick 30W is much better than on the 20W but its still soft-ish and temperamental. I have things that just won't work on it no matter how much I adjust the contacts. (Thank goodness for all the dental tools I have from my Dad.)

I've tried pre-made rebuildable coils before. I get it on fine but destroy the whole thing when I put the top back on and try to align the air holes. But at that price I might buy some and toss them into my box with the RDAs. No plan on using them anytime soon but, come doomsday, I'll learn.

Get the eVic VTC mini!! I have 3 of them and love them. Same size as the Cloupor mini. It's great being able to stand them up to charge since the USB is right under the buttons. They also have firmware upgrades online. I have a cyan one with the Cubis tank so I ordered the RBA rebuildable coil from Fasttech to try out. They say it isn't very sturdy but for $3 it's worth a try. I'm vaping on the eVic with the Cubis tank filled with Lemon Cream as I type this. :p

The curve on the 60W is what makes it so comfortable to hold. I thought I read that they fixed the threads starting with the 30W? I ordered the colored doors so I've got a black and white, dark blue and silver, and one I just left black and silver. My Kayfun is on it. I just got the blue enamel 30W a few months ago and it's really pretty. :) Every one of my iSticks 40W died on me. I have 3 30W that are still working perfectly. They are a year older than the 40 watts were when they just quit working. That's what lead me to stop buying with built in batteries.

I also have a lot of mechanical mods so I have enough mods to last a lifetime and more. I'm trying to stop buying new ones. Lol. Now I'm working on tanks that I don't have to buy coils for or uses rebuildable coils. I finally got out my 3 year old Kayfun that I'd never even tried and I really like it! So I ordered 2 more newer ones to try. I use the premade coils from Fasttech that are super cheap. You can get a pack of 50 for $2.09 and they work great.

$2.09 Pre-Coiled Wires for Rebuildable Atomizers (50-Pack) 50-pack - 1.5ohm / 0.3mm dia. / 30*30mm leads at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

They work to rebuild coils and in my Kayfun. I need to order a lot more and in different ohms. So much easier than trying to make them myself but I've got the supplies if I have to do it. I used one and rebuilt my first coil (a Kanger AeroTank coil) in about 2 minutes!

I'm looking for V2 of the Ego One Mega. Just ordered one of the original versions from Fasttech. I've read that the rebuildable coils for it are really easy to do and they have great flavor. I can't wait to try it out.
+1 on the Evic VTC Mini/Evic VTwo Mini with the Ego Mega/Tron/Mega v2 tanks -- with the CLR coils, not the CL coils. Newish thread on the CLRs:

eGo ONE tank series – CLR coil

Good, knowledgable people there.

IMO, they're good - not quite as good as either my Kayfun 4 or Mini v3 (clones), but pretty darned good for such a simple thang.

For batteries, try here:

Illumn.com - Flashlights, Batteries, Carry Gear, Intelligent LED Lighting, and More!

Cheap and reliable in my opinion. Just placed an order last night for a couple more Samsung 30Qs. $6 each and you get a free case for every pair that you buy. Shipping was $3.08.

[Edit: It's Sunday and I just got notice that the Illumn order I placed last night been shipped - tracking number included.]

This is all going to be backup equipment for me because I really, really prefer the light weight of mods with built-in batteries so I'm just going to add a couple of batts to my order. If I were really stocking up, I'd go to a battery-specialist site but 18650s won't be banned (unless some crazy politicians decide flashlights are dangerous.) Probably RTDVapor (since LightHound has closed.)

I'll read up about the tank. Thanks for the link.

I really miss the days when great technology was a 1200mAh battery. It was all so much easier.

Understandable for the convenience, although 2 x 30Qs will cost $19 ($9.50 ea.) at SV + the cost of a case (you really should have one of you don't have one already) vs $15.08 shipped with a case at Illumn. <shrug>

I'm totally down with this. I bought a couple of Provari minis during the fantastic blem sale they had, but honestly I prefer my lighter weight batteries (Spinners, eLeaf minis, etc), but I'm glad to have the replaceable battery Provaris in case of the vapocalypse. I'm not sure what I'm going to do for toppers, but I like your idea of keeping some RDAs in the back of the box to learn how to build in case of emergency!

I bought 3 or 4 inexpensive but well-reviewed RDAs. But they will be as a last resort. I have a lot of coils for my GS-Airs. The threading on those turned out to be fragile but I have a few so that should last. And one of the things I like about the Cubis is that it uses the same coils as the AIO (my favorite stick mod which is making me neglect my eVods) so I can buy a ton of them.

Last year I bought a zillion atomizers. I can't figure out where I safely stored them but I have 56 more on their way.

It should be a long time before I have to rebuild. :D

I bought BIG for the vapocalypse. I have a locked file cabinet with 4 isticks, 2 VTC mini's, 2 Vaporflask lites, 2 Provari's (blems), and 2 Vamo's. Then I got 6 Taifuns, 5 Lemos and 5 Kayfuns, 2 Aromamizers. This is all besides the 6-7 in rotation today. FDA or state laws will not stop me. 1 liter of nic in the freezer. Will get another before August

States are already closing things down, even before the August FDA deadline. Don't count on anything!

OK, maybe that sounds a little drastic, but just because I am paranoid does not mean they are not out to get me!! They won't get me for vaping! I'm set (well, that one is shiney....)

Done. Got a Treebox, red eVic VTC with Cubis and a stainless iStick 60W with the teal and the navy covers. Toss in AIOs in the 3 colors I didn't have, two 18650s, a couple more Cubises and four packs of coils and I had to hold my breath while I clicked "submit."

Depending on which I like better, I'll double up on either the eVic or the iStick after testing them.

If the vapocalypse happens it will, of course, be horrible. But if it doesn't, this time will actually be a boon to vendors as we all rush to stock our bunkers.

I got an iStick Pico and an EVIC VTWO Mini, three Subtank Minis, one Kabuki Clone, One Subtank Mini Clone, one EH Pro Morph tank, and a bunch of pre-made coils. If I like the Pico and EVIC VTWO when they arrive next week, I'll get more of them. If not, I'll try other replaceable battery mods with upgradable firmware. I'm planning to buy some of the Top Tank Mini Platinum mods too. I also plan to buy many more Subtank Minis, plus some Kayfuns, a Squape R clone, several liters of 100 mg. nicotine, extra glass and spare parts for my tanks & mods. I want to buy a couple of two battery mods just to be safe. I doubt I'll ever need the power those two batteries will buy me, but you never know for sure. I'm just getting started ...

Since some of my Ahlusion points were about to expire, I went ahead and placed another juice order yesterday (I have been vaping down my hoarded stock, and had not ordered anything in a while).

I got 4x60ml Saturday Morning and 1 60ml Lemon Vanilla Cake. :)

For my free sample I chose Kiwi Sea. I can't believe I've never tried this before, since it sounds so up my alley. Looking forward to a new Ahlusion experience!

Okay gang I have been neglecting things. Need some new additional hardware for the possible shutdown. Advice and recommendations please........
-smallish form factor
-don't care about sub ohm
-like/have single 18650 battery
-VV/VW okay and desired
-Reliability and durability desired
-Accept Ego adapter a must (Kanger T2 still my main atomizer)
On the tank
-Ease of filling
-.2-3 MM tank fill
-Easy coil/tank rebuild a must (rookie)
- No or low leak
Need recommendations for a mod and a good simple tank. Cost is a factor as I will probably buy multiples.

EDIT- just looked at my banner, between my wife and I, we have saved over $18,000 not smoking in the last four years! Never mind the health benefit...Wow!

The small form factor is key to me. I have 3 that just shipped today from Sweet-Vapes thanks to input from the inmates of this forum:
Treebox
eVic VTC with Cubis tank
iStick 60W

The Cubis uses the same coil as the Joyetech AIO. I have 2 of that stick mod and I really like the coil. The AIO is leakproof and the Cubis is supposed to be as well. That's why I got the eVic with it and not the Tron-S.

I hope to have it all in hand and tested by this weekend.

I don't think you would go wrong with an eleaf Pico or two (I have 3), and Evic VTC mini (or Vtwo mini, i have 2 VTCs, no Vtwo). I also still use T3s protanks and evods. .

For a tank, I am sure you will lots of great suggestions, more than my experience. I resisted Kayfuns for so long, until I was PIFed one by a very generous ECFer. Haven't looked back. Yes I have other tanks I like, but for reliability, flavor and ease of use, they are my real go tos. I have several "models", all clones (the Lite V2s and nanos are EHPro, but others are Fasttech clones). I find them easy to build, too. V3 minis, 4s, and 5s are all top fill.

JMHO....

My recommendation would be these
Kanger Subtank Mini V2 4.5ML - USA Seller - Fast Shipping - MULTIPLE COLORS!!

even though they are called subtanks you can build any ohm you want and adjust the air flow to very tight.
It comes with a rebuildable deck and a premade coil.
you can buy coils or you can use the rebuildable deck. If you use the rebuildable deck you use these pre-made coils until you learn how to build
$1.39 Authentic MKWS Kanthal A1 Pre-Coiled Resistance Wire for RBA Atomizers (10-Pack) 10-pack - 26 AWG / 0.4mm dia. / 1ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
super easy to change a coil in these things
most other devices are harder to change coils in. Even if you get good at twisting a coil, placement can sometimes be the hardest part

I think Isticks and Pico's are great for those that do not want to invest in batteries and a charger. For long term though I would buy things that had replaceable batteries and so far my favs that I think you would also like are Joyetech VTC Mini's
$34.29 Authentic Joyetech eVic VTC Mini 60W TC VW Variable Wattage APV Box Mod - 1-60W / 200-600'F(100-315'C) / 1*18650 / stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
here for batteries
18650 Sony US18650VTC4 2100mAh High Discharge Flat Top - Batteries, Chargers, and PowerPax Carriers
and charger
Nitecore i4 Intellicharger Li-ion, NiMH/NiCd Charger - Batteries, Chargers, and PowerPax Carriers

DON't buy batteries at EBAY

@Poeia , I've been wondering about the AOI, since you've mentioned it a couple of times. You even mentioned the great price for it at sweet-vapes and, yeah. I think maybe I'd like it, but I'm wondering how hot of a vape it is, since it isn't VV or VW. When I first started vaping, I felt like I needed more, more, more, but now I find that I hardly ever move up 3.2 or 3.3 volts, with 1.8 coils. Will it be too hot for me, or is it worth trying?
