Hi all!
Just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive and well. I had my LAST chemo a week ago and I'm now trying to do all that I can to get past the side effects. I'm doing better on the digestive issue side, my energy level is fairly good, and my biggest issue is ye olde taste buds. Everything tastes awful...but I know it's temporary, and I just have to get past it. I'm figuring that the REAL return to "normal life" begins three weeks after that last treatment, which brings me to August 8th. Of course, there will be surgery and possibly radiation to follow, so it won't be a picnic, but I'll have HAIR, and normal fingernails, and energy, and I'll be able to eat regular food and really enjoy my AHL juice! And I need to order some zero-nic for surgery prep and recovery.
Thanks to all who've cheered me on as I muddled through this treatment. There have been some rough patches (and I'm still being super-careful; I'm not even going out until the end of the week, due to lowered resistance), but I seem to have managed...thanks mostly to my amazing and caring Hubster, Eric. He's taken over so many of the household chores and eaten lots of Amy's frozen dinners and peanut-butter sandwiches, poor guy!
