Yup. As expected, free samples are gone. "[T]emporarily"?

News and Blog says:

We have some site updates and intermittent outages planned to accommodate requirements. As many already know, per FDA we are no longer allowed to offer free samples so that part has been removed (temporarily).

If you are currently trying to checkout and the cart page hangs (reported on IE and some older versions of Mozilla), simply reload the page or browse to another page before checking out.

If you've previously stored old shopping carts (prior to August 17), you may have to delete Ahlusion cookies and cache or you may not be able to add products to the shopping cart or checkout.

More updates to be posted soon.
I wonder if they can still launch the Elite line? Time will tell.

Elite is all flavors, strengths, etc. they offered before, just with different labels so I'd assume they can.

I think (and hope) you're right. Actually, I think they are even more in compliance with the projected Elite line because there will be fewer options available.

I'm sorry to hear about the free samples being gone, but I was a little surprised it was still an option on the order I put in on Sunday. I have tracking, so we'll see what I get.

I kind-of feel like whatever happens, we can count on Ahlusion to do the best they can for us without putting their business in jeopardy.

I started at 18mg 4 years ago, then quickly moved down to 12. I stayed there for a long time, but now mostly vape 6 when I'm at home (and chain vaping), but use 12 for out-and-about, and still order an occasional 18 for emergencies. So I don't necessarily think that "finding your perfect level" is a one-and-done thing.

I don't think I can go back and forth. Just not in my personality. I had to use up all my 12 in order to go down to 6 - at that point 6 was just not satisfying to me. Don't know for sure, but I kinda think that if I had a bottle of 12, I'd end up wanting to stay with 12. Maybe I should try it, though - would be nice to get that morning rush again.

When I saw the word "temporarily", I thought to myself, "Wlad's got a plan." :)

I started at 24mg, went to 18 almost immediately without notice. Stayed there for about 6 months and went to 12. Again no notice. I was afraid to go to 6, but got some 6mg from friends and also off the classies and then before I knew it, no notice of the change. Now I just always order 6. I feel satisfied. The few times I have tried to vape 18 now I can taste the pepper, feel my nose burn, etc.
Did I vape more? Hard to tell because I kind of chain vape anyway. I think it might be the pacifier thing for me. I have had to go 4 hours without vaping but that is the longest. I can tell I am still addicted to nicotine and I am fine with that because I think it helps with foggy brain. I do not think I will ever go below 6.

One thing that really grossed me out-I had a volunteer position with a car rescue 5-6 years ago. Several of us helping. I wore those disposable rubber gloves. After an hour my gloves were orange inside. Nobody else's were. it had to be from nicotine coming out of my pores

I started at 12mg, which lasted for a minute. I thought my head would explode! Went to 6mg and stayed there for 18 months. Now, I'm mostly at 3mg, though I keep 0 and a very little bit of 6 in the house - 6 for when I can't vape much, and 0 to mix with 3 for when I'm doing low-ish ohms/higher watts. The 6mg really is overkill, and at .4ohms and 40 watts, even the 3mg is too much!

Which brings up a good point! HOW you vape also figures into the equation. :| I vape on 0.8-1.5 ohm single coils, rarely over 15 watts, so I doubt 3 would be enough for me.

YES how you vape does factor in. 6mgs is perfect for me at 1.2-1.4 ohms 12-14 watts.
I have some Subohm stuff and do it on occasion but if I were to do it ADV I would get nic sick because I do chain vape. I would have to drop to 3mls.

I learned that lesson the hard way! Apparently, I'm a slow learner: every now and again I put 6mg in a .48 build with a mech squonk mod and Oopsie!

Hope everyone is well. Reading (mostly) these days but still around. I started with 24, went to 18 quickly then to 12. Stuck on 12. I tried 6 and zero but found the zero just didn't cut it at all. I vape twice as much at 6 and that is too much.

Equipment update- thanks for all your advice. I will get the E-Vic mini at some point but I went by my local brick and mortar and ran into a sale and had some points. I got an EHPro SPD A5 for less than the cost of an ego 650mah battery. It is doing ok along with my Cloupor mini.

Hmm. Think I'll play around with a few builds in a Freakshow Mini that I really haven't used much. Maybe I could get my occasional head-rush that way. :D

29 gauge, spaced, dual coils around .8 ohm maybe? :?:

Heh.

I also started at 24 (with the occasional puff of 36.) Got a mini-OD one night (dizzy, nauseated) and immediately went to 12. (I was vaping Tasty Vapor at that time and had doublers for most of my flavors so it was easy to drop the strength.)

Then, after about 7 months of vaping, I got pneumonia. Since I only had half a dozen puffs during the 3 days I was in the hospital I thought "The nicotine is out of my system. I can go to 0mg." That lasted about a month and it was the only time in my 6-2/3 years of vaping that I almost went back to cigarettes. So I settled on 6mg and have been happy ever since.

In terms of quantity vaped, it doesn't matter for me. I was a chain smoker. I'm a chain vapor. I'm a chain eater. Oral fixation girl here.

My biggest problem now is that I started using my vapocalypse equipment and the stuff in the weaker mods is flavorless. I'm doing 12.x watts

Also, the magnets on the eVic VTC battery compartment is so strong, every time I pick it up, it brings my cuticle scissors or other piece of metal with it. :D

what did you go with for a tank APP? I thought you were looking for a different topper at one time?

hahaha I have this problem with my Hexohm. It sits at my desk. As does a metal letter opener and any number of other metal objects, small screwdriver, paperclips etc. and the Hexohm almost always has something stuck to it

I have been experiencing, on and off, shortness of breath. Not sure why, but I did have a very bad sore throat a month ago (I was prescribed a Z-pack and never actually looked at), and I think there is some residual congestion. So until I can figure out who to see for this (urgent care? my oncologist? my PCP?), I'm cutting back a bit. I'm as addicted to pacifier-vaping as anyone, but feeling like I'm locked in a metal corset is scary.
The funny thing -- my husband started looking online for instances of vapers who had similar issues. He announced to me that "SOME people use juice that is PG and some VG!" LOL, like I haven't been talking about this stuff for years already. Men! As soon as I responded that PG is propylene glycol, and that it's used in some asthma medications, he tuned out. Sigh.

Yeah nobody listens to me either. My best friend hears me talk about it all the time. She vapes a little, around me, but mostly smokes (not around me or in my house) the other day she says to me "I hear they have some made with vegetable something that is supposed to be safer....

Try turning off your mod and then taking a puff or two. I do that occasionally when I'm somewhere I can't vape. It's just air but you get the flavor of your liquid mixed in. It has a placebo effect on me. It doesn't replace vaping, of course, but it may let you go longer between puffs.

Also, how much VG is in your mix? If I go over 50% VG I get a tight chest and feel like I can't take a dee breath.

Eleanor, when I complained about this to the oncologist, I was told that if it occurred again, I should go to the ER! In other words, not their problem.
I ended up going to an urgent-care facility. The were great! I brought a lot of info on my situation, he listened to my chest, and told me he thought it was a touch of bronchitis. I got a 5-day Z-pack and an Albuterol inhaler. I feel much better now. The inhaler is like magic!
And starting today, I cut back on my nicotine (LimeLight 3 mg) and I'll get down to zero before my surgery on Friday.
In other news, food is tasting better, and my digestion is close to a "normal person's". I'm even going to make chocolate mousse today (something I had planned to make before chemo, but I got too depressed).
And Poeia: my juices are either 50/50 or 30VG/70PG. Thanks.

Shame on your oncologist. Just because he told you that it wasn't a side effect of your cancer treatment doesn't mean it wasn't part of his job. While you're under his care, everything that happens to your body should be important news to him -- symptoms, medications, reactions, etc. At the very least, he should have referred you to a pulmonologist and received a copy of your records.

And do try the "no battery" method. Sucking on a pacifier that tastes like my e-liquid does help.
