Does anyone know how long their AW batteries tend to last? I use the 18490s and they are about a year old and seem to be lasting a shorter time.

RTDvapor is having a 20% off through Monday (BF20) and I am considering buying another bunch of batteries.

Thankfully I do not need a lot of new toys. I saved a lot of money this year. Ahlusion got the bulk of the Christmas cash. I do not even know what most of the popular items on sale are. That may be a good thing. lol

Hello everyone --
I'm doing great! I will finish my radiation treatments this week. The areas in question are sore (like a sunburn), but the calendula cream I'm using works wonders.
We took one daughter to the airport yesterday, and the other today. We cooked, ate, shopped, watched some great TV (Detectorists FTW), played Scattergories, and lucky me! got to do a whole bunch of clothes repairs. I'm happy I waited to get together with my girls until most of the chemo-yuckiness was over.
Both daughters have promised to come back and visit again very soon, and my younger one will be bringing the boyfriend I've been dying to meet; I think he might be on his way to becoming The One.
All in all, a great holiday here. But best of all, nobody said, "Mom, I can't stand the stink of that Jump N Jive! Do you HAVE to do that here?!?" Almost three years since I switched, and no one is happier about it than my daughters!

Glad to hear that your ordeal may soon be over, Penny! Lol on the stinky ejuice. Yeah, all about perspective. I've never smelled a bad smelling Ahlusion flavor (of course, I was never on the other end of Blue Grass Burley either) but to your daughters, I am sure it ALL smells like Mom-Saving Heaven. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Hi Shari, the accepted wisdom is 500 cycles before performance takes a significant hit, but each cycle they diminish just a little bit. I have SO many batteries, they get maybe 30 cycles each in a year. But if you are charging the same one every other day, 2 years.

Now that said, I like to PIF my batteries at about a year old. I DO notice a small improvement if the mAh are the same. But at a year old, there is still a LOT of life left for a new vaper or vaper on a budget, and I only stipulate that they be recycled properly once they reach their end.

Here is a chart for a Panasonic 18650, but it will give you an idea of where your batteries are at in how much reduction of mAh you may be at (% wise)

Here's a picture for you: Me, little (but fat) old lady on her brand new red mobility scooter racing around at 4mph at a Christmas craft fair. I did not total out the scooter yet and no dead or injured. But it definitely is not the red corvette that I always imagined myself tooling around in. lol

LOL! What a wonderful image in my head! I am SO happy for you, Shari! :):):)

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving. I sure did even if I didn't go overboard on Black Friday Sales.
I'm almost out of "Peppermint Bark" so time to reorder, but what I really want to talk about is "Wild Passion"!
Wow who knew I'd like this one? This stuff is fantastic. It's just the right amount of grapefruit to compliment the passion fruit. A bit sweeter than I expected but definitely a re-order.
I hope you all are getting in the Christmas spirit. I think I am finally.

So QUIET here!

Today was a balmy 42F. I've been DYING to try the remote controled heated pants, jacket and gloves I bought at the end of last season on sale. AND... Wlad was having an in store sale on customs for Veterans, on TOP of the Veterans discount. WOOT! Motorcycle time! Oh heck, they or I left the remote on in the package, and the battery was dead.

Got there, and ordered every darn thing I like that I don't currently have (I have been stashing in the freezer once a month for the past year) so now I have a complete Vapocalypse stash in deep freeze of 60ml minimum of everything I love. Gotta be 60 bottles. NOW the plan is to keep up a monthly 2 or 3 bottle order, and replace the one in the freezer to keep it running.

Then I picked over the clearance racks of Max VG and Express juices, found a half dozen gems at half off, also nice.

Stopped at a battery store and had them put a new batt in the remote. OMG. I was cruising home on US23 at 80mph on my Road Glide. It was 41F and I was nice and cozy. Didn't bother getting the electric socks. I have plenty of snowboarding socks that are amazing. Looks like an extended season. ;)
Bwahahaha...this made me laugh LLB.

Wow! LONG time no see, Daniele! Doing very well, thanks, and how are YOU? Your faves were Boba Tea, Caramel Mambo, Caramel Pear Black Tea, Fijian Nights, Sweet Surrender and Pink Label. You hated Tiramisu. I was RIGHT on the same page except I hated Pink Label and sent you mine. ;)

PLEASE don't be a stranger! We missed you!

@Sirius I almost added Wild Passion to my order this last time, but the passion fruit scared me away. Perhaps I'll add it in next time. The grapefruit part is what really intrigues me.

Sent from my NX-74205 using Tapatalk

Passion fruit is a REALLY subtle flavor I think, because I can't really pick it out in Wild Passion except that maybe it takes the acidic bite (a real problem for me with citrus vapes) out of the grapefruit, and really makes it sing. I accidentally ordered TWO bottles once, and didn't even want ONE. BOY was I glad I did! FABULOUS stuff.

Shari,

I'm looking at this chart, and realizing that they are actually torturing this battery. At least much more so than we ever do. A couple things will really shorten the lifespan of our batteries. Heat is one, and I see they are only giving the battery a 20 minute rest between discharging and charging again. So I have to assume that except for that 20 minutes each cycle, this battery is either charging (heat) or continuously discharging (more heat). We discharge ours in short bursts many times, which hardly generates any heat unless you are at or above the CDR.

The other thing I don't know, but suspect, and I'm no Mooch at battery expertise, but I have to assume that they are putting a good load on the battery. Probably very near the CDR. Another killer. I checked steam engine, and with what is for me a very aggressive build, 0.4ohm at 35w, I am drawing less than half of the 20amp continuous rating. Hardly stressful.

Finally, the BIGGEST killer, is they are drawing the battery down to 2.5volts. WAY below the 3.2v that most of our devices will stop drawing and require us to recharge them. That's an exponential curve of death, so the .7v difference is a LOT. Based on THAT chart, I'd bet we can easily go 700 cycles and still get very good performance.

Hey there!!!! It has been a VERY long time. I missed you guys too! Those were definitely my favs....and I remember that big bottle of Pink Label you sent me, it went to good use that's for sure! So what have you been vaping on these days? I won't be going anywhere - especially now that I found all of you guys again!

I had to come by and say hello, especially seeing D25 pop up.

Howdy, everyone.

That's GREAT. Glad to see you will be around.

I've been mostly vaping DIY samples from friends the past 6 months or so. I enjoy giving feedback, and they enjoy getting it I guess because it keeps coming. :) I ask for the recipes of my faves and I have been doing some mixing too.

For Ahlusion, I order every month. Your favorites are pretty much mine, so besides all the great stuff they added, there is those. It goes in the freezer for Vapocalypse. They will be special treats if things go down like the FDA is hoping.

I pick up my customs at the store when I can, and I pick over the clearance racks where they put their "best by" expires of Express and Vmax at 50-80% off. :) I like to try things I haven't, as it is inexpensive so if I don't like it I just PIF it.

Have you tried any of the newer flavors since you were last around? SO many amazing new flavors the last couple years. Then, ahead of the FDA, they culled out the slower movers, and trimmed their 200 flavors at peak to the present 139. Still one HECK of an assortment.

Nice!! I wouldn't mind sampling new flavors all the time like that! I actually ordered nothing but Ahlusion up until maybe a year ago. I randomly decided to start looking around at what else was out there. My favorite Ahlusion flavor at the time though was the lemon pound cake. I went through that stuff like water!! SO good! I need to get on there and see what else they have these days. As far as online shops, the only other one I ordered from was Mech Sauce, and it was mainly because the prices were so insanely low, yet the reviews were really good. I did find a couple gems there that I still order from time to time. Like the Cinnamon Dream, it's basically an amazing cinnamon roll flavor. SO Good. I like their fruit COPYRIGHTDMCA flavor too. So i grab 120mls of those 2 every so often. Other than that, I found a couple new favs at a local vape shop. Unfortunately they are the complete opposite of Mech Sauce on the pricing front, but I found my all time fav and I can't stay away from it. It's a strawberry donut flavor. And O-M-G is all I can say about it. It's a fairly populary premium brand from what I understand, so I'm sure it's available at a lot of different places. I've seen it in several vape shops out here. The same company has a fruity COPYRIGHTDMCA donut - wow, just wow. I'm not sure what the specific brand or company that makes them is called, but here is a link if anyone is curious or sees them at a local shop and was wondering if they are any good. I've tried all 3 of these and they're awesome. Donuts eJuice (one thing to note, the prices on this site are quite a bit higher than what I've been getting them for from my local shops, this was just the first site i found them on)

So what's everyone vaping on in terms of hardware these days? I've gone through several mods over the past 1-2 years, but have been pretty committed to my Asmodus Minikin V2 with the original Crown Tank. Just this week i decided to give the Tobeco Super Tank Mini a try, and really enjoying it so far though. Trying to find some other tanks that produce the flavor the original Crown does. I am seeing the U-Well D2 and SE-1 (i think that is what they are called) tanks, and I'm kind of intrigued. Anyone try those out? I did get the Crown 2, but had horrible luck with their coils, even with the most recent version.

If we're talking about tanks with manufactured drop in coils, you're going to have a really hard time beating that original Crown for flavor, in a tank. The Smoke TFV4 comes close, haven't tried the TFV8. And you are not, by far, the only one disappointed in the Crown2.

Now if you want to build your own decks, there are some very good tanks! If you want lots of vape, the Augvape Boreas and the Aromamizer Supreme, with the right builds, can beat it. For single coil builds, with more of a tootle puffer attraction, the Augvape Merlin seems to be my favorite.
