If we're talking about tanks with manufactured drop in coils, you're going to have a really hard time beating that original Crown for flavor, in a tank. The Smoke TFV4 comes close, haven't tried the TFV8. And you are not, by far, the only one disappointed in the Crown2.

Now if you want to build your own decks, there are some very good tanks! If you want lots of vape, the Augvape Boreas and the Aromamizer Supreme, with the right builds, can beat it. For single coil builds, with more of a tootle puffer attraction, the Augvape Merlin seems to be my favorite.

Thanks! I actually just picked up the TFV4 today. Did you have any leaking issues with it? I've got juice coming out of the airflow all of a sudden.

Going on 5 years of vaping and still yet to rebuild anything. Lol! I should probably start one of these days. Crown 2 was definitely a bummer, because when it does work, it's great - it's just unfortunately very short lived. I didn't get more than 2 days out of any of the coils, and that was with the newest version of coils too. Total bummer. I have seem some pretty good video reviews for the Uwell D2 and the SE-1, not sure if anyone is selling them yet though. I may give U-Well another chance and try one of them out if I see them anywhere.

Hi Daniele. WIth the TFV4, you have to make sure you completely close off the air flow control (AFC) ring before opening or filling it, or it will run like a Kenyan on Coke. Or Pepsi. If that wasn't the problem, then something is not completely tightened down. The coil must be snug in the base, the chimney must be snug in the top of the coil, and the whole glass assembly must also be tight. I'd have to dig mine out to check, but you may be able to bottom fill it and avoid the drop or 2 that WILL come out after filling, even with the air flow closed, plus then you won't forget to close the AFC and have half the tank run out.

Thank you! Yep - that was definitely the problem. Figured it out shortly after I posted. Went to refill again and made sure i closed the airflow, realized I must have forgotten to do so the time before that. It's going strong so far though - flavor is pretty solid, that's for sure. These coils are massive!!! Lol Did you always fill through the little fill hole in that top white rubber piece, or is there another way to top fill? Several of my dropper bottles seem to thick to wedge in that little fill port space. Not a huge deal - I've just been using some of the thinner droppers from another bottle, but figured I'd ask in case anyone else ran into that as well.

Lol.. always loved your posts. That silicon top thingy, you can RAM right through. Don't be timid.. ;) it's resilient. If I remember correctly though (and topfill IS nice), taking it off, flipping it over, taking off the bottom cap, you can get about 1 or more ml in, and no spills. I THINK. But yeah, I just mash Ahlusion drippers right through and SQUEEZE. Lol....

Hahaha - I can't quite think of another name for that thingy! No more timid-ness for me. I'm checking out some Ahlusion flavors today - thinking of maybe checking out some I haven't tried before. (Although I've tried a good majority! But always fun to try new ones). What did you find your sweet spot was in terms of wattage with the TFV4? (i've got the .4ohm coil in there right now). They all have such a wide "ideal wattage" range. Lol!

Um, Sapphire is marvelous! This will be a be a regular for me. I was gonna let it hang out for a couple weeks before I dug in, but couldn't resist. Tried a tank of it last night and I'm hooked! It's such a nice mild blueberry but with something else I can't put my finger on. What a delight!

I busted my chops on temp control, which was really challenging with the cheap Chinese temp mods. Stainless is the only safe coil besides kanthal, and is the hardest for good temp control. The DNA chip and Escribe software set me free. On a .4 ohm coil, my comfortable vape is 30ish. In Escribe, I can set the mod to hit like a traditional mechanical mod for the 1st four seconds, ramping up to high heat, and then temp control kicks in if I want a longer puff. It really is magic. In power mode, I'd bet 30 watts would be a good place, with some small adjustment up or down. But then, I like a cool vape overall.

Idk what is going on with my coils lately - starting to wonder if it's my mod. Literally all 3 tanks i have in rotation right now are barely getting 2-3 days out of a coil. The tanks are the original Crown, Tobeco Super Tank Mini (tried both Triton Clapton coils and the Tobeco coils that came w the tank), and TFV4 .4ohm coil. I've gotten weeks out of the original Crown coils before. I'm wondering if my mod is getting older and the wattage its reading isn't accurate anymore or something? Like maybe its pushing more power than I think it is? Idk - at a total loss here. I'm running at the low end of the suggested wattage for each coil. It's getting really frustrating though. Only other thing I can think of is the juice, they are pretty sweet desserty flavors....but I've always pretty much vaped the dessert flavors. I do chain vape like a maniac - but that's always been the case as well. Lol I just put yet another new coil in the Crown - if this one does the same thing, I may have to try a new mod and see what happens.

I've only been through 3 Crown coils so far. And I DID use the heck outta those! They're fabulous and I could get the equivalent of 3 weeks full time use, THEN clean it out with 190 proof and a Qtip, and get 2 or 3 more weeks out of it. 2nd attempts to revive weren't worth the effort. If I was committed to them, I'd stop by a gun shop and get a brass bore brush with a loose fit. A couple quick rubs across the coils would remove at least half the gunk, and fluff your cotton a little too. ;)

And uh.. ahem.. really should use the always clean running Ahlusion for best, tastiest results. :) Honestly, vaping DIY and some freebie samples, I've noticed a higher need for maintenance. It may play a role, not that Ahlusion doesn't have a few gunkers of their own! Hahaha...

Yeah - same here. I've gotten weeks out of my crown coils, on many many occassions. I just ordered a few of my Ahlusion faves, so will have those here pretty soon which I'm obviously looking forward to!

This may be a long shot, but I was wondering if it could just be that the tank itself is just getting old...no idea if that makes any sense at all or not though. But I have been using the crap out of this thing for a solid 6 months or so now. lol

Yeah - I can't see how it aging could impact the coil life either, all else seems ok, no leaking, etc. It's a mystery I tell ya! lol

Got my 2 faves that were my ADVs for well over a year, probably closer to 2 actually. Lemon Vanilla Cake & Drewdles. Then I decided to try Saturday Morning which I haven't had yet, but been into cereals lately. Have you tried that one? Also curious about Memory Lane, but I didn't grab that one this time. Would love to know if anyone has tried it though.

Drewdles, Saturday Morning and Memory Lane all fall into the "Great to have 10ml once in awhile" categories for me. Wonderful when they had samples. Saturday Morning is going to blow your mind. I won't say more. It just wore on ME fast, and I was never into cereal, real or vape.

Sweeeeeeeeet!! (literally and figuratively!) :) Really looking forward to Saturday Morning now. Just recently starting buying actual cereal lately as a result of vapes - have a feeling a box of Fruit Loops is also in my near future. :)
