The description on Ahlusion's page for Soiree says:

Perfect for the sweet night out. Our Soiree is a delicate Apple Torte paired with a Lemon sauce and shaved Almonds.

So maybe the wine is influencing what you're tasting? Of course everyone's taste buds are so different...lol. :) I definetly taste the apple, and the lemon, but of course I tried mine fresh out of the box. We'll see what it tastes like in a week.

Hope you had a great vacation!!

Gah! Apple! It is SO hard to pick individual fruits from a melange. Makes sense now, the Torte part would take the bite out of the lemon, and the apple must be what I thought might be a cherry or peach red fruit influence. But I still don't taste apple! hahaha... When I ordered it, the "Good with Moscato" was all that was up.

And thank you, Tyleris! I had a GREAT vacation. Some visiting with my 87 year old Dad, some sightseeing, LOTS of fighter jets and bombers coming and going at Nellis, for the Joint Strike Force practice with our Nato allies. I love watching those things take off and land. THEN I partied for two days STRAIGHT on Freemont St. I could barely walk after all that walking and drinking. Took about $2000 from Binions on a monster Craps roll too, so icing on the cake. Now I need a vacation.

Thanks for clarifying the fruits! And the almonds, which I also still cannot pick out. :)

Nothing like partying in Downtown Vegas. Love it so much more than the strip and all the commercialization. :toast:

Hi Coco! Oh heck yeah. I LOVE Freemont. Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria! Plus the diversity of age, color, nationality.. all just singing and dancing together, no sign of all this political nastiness anywhere.

About the farthest south I go is the Stratosphere. They let me stay there almost free, I've been going so long. I added another restaurant to my "Must Visit" list this time. I always go to Lotus of Siam for the Larb Salad and drunken noodles, and right down the street, Fat Choy (in a casino just a block west of LOS) for their Duck Bao. The new place is "Lucy", an Ethiopian restaurant on.. Sahara? ZOMG!! Quanta Firfir for breakfast, and for 10 bucks, enough to feed me and 2 street people.

SO many laughs. At Nacho Daddy's, they now have onesies for babies to match the Nacho Daddy shirts. Those say "Nacho Baby" ROFL....

This is only a Ahlusion tyleris12 you are not seeing this person here.. it is only a Ahlusion!

Hi! I don't know you but I see you are quite veteran. Welcome, or welcome back as it may be.

I was just thinking about all the veterans who are/were Ahlusionati. I haven't seen HulaMoon in.. forever. Didn't she start the first Ahlusion thread?

Edit: Oh, nebbemind. I am happy to say that I see her active in the HHV thread, with search by user. And I mean ACTIVE! ;) Glad to see she's kickin around still!

Well, I can weigh in on 2 week old Soiree for my friends. . .

To me, this tastes like a light sweetened lemon/lime mix with some dark cherry or cassis notes. Like it was intended to make a Moscato experience a little bit "Kir Royale", or maybe it's an orange fruit, like peach, you know, both citric AND "berryish". Think Bellini. I love Moscato, and keep lots of it in the cellar, but I have yet to try this with any. I left for a Vegas vacation shortly after receiving it, and am finally getting to it.

I like it. I like it a lot. Reminds me a little of Luna Fortuna, but a little more citric which is really helped by sweetener or the darker red fruit I am picking up, because citric vapes usually really irritate my soft tissue, and this does not, at ALL. It's quite tasty. Very fruity.

I can't wait to try it with some Moscato. I think it will only be better than I already think it is. And I love my Ahlusion family. :) , so if a Lemon/Lime/dark red fruit without the citric bite sounds good to you, then I would recommend it.

YUM. :drool::drool::drool:

JustWondering1, I recently just tried the Soiree and Katarina. Fresh out of the box the Soiree was good, and I've heard it's even better after about a week of steeping, so that one is put away for now. The Katarina is AMAZING, even fresh out of the box!! I'm not good at describing flavors, but to me it tastes like a toasted peach schnapps...if there was such a thing. ;) It's not boozy tho.

Oh, even more YUM!!!

How long do you think I should let the Turkish Delight steep? I think I've only ordered one of their tobacco juices and I don't remember how long I steeped it. Don't tobaccos need a longer steep?

I got my Turkish Delight last Thursday, and have been steeping it (after opening & aerating) in a southern window sill ever since. I think it still needs more time, but after just one warm week it is already quite vapable. :)

It definitely has that Turkish/oriental tobacco base (like Sahara Blend, which I liked). I just barely get a whiff of fruit so far, and just a wee tad of caramel sweetness. I loved Caramel Wildwood and Vanilla Wildwood, but those became overwhelmingly sweet to me over time. I am glad that both the sweetness and smokiness of those tobacco juices are missing (or hugely turned down) in Turkish Delight.

I will definitely be adding Turkish Delight to my regulars!

Oh, and for @newyork13 , in addition to having liked but grown weary of the heavy, sweet & smokey Wildwoods, I also liked Godfather and Shipwreck very much (still do). The Sahara Blend was ultimately a bit too dry for me; I think TD will be a great replacement for it! :)

Hello everybody!

Has Ahlusion discontinued their policy of free shipping with an order over $70?

I had no idea there are new AHL juices to try!! This morning, I ordered their Katrina and Turkish Delight. The other new ones, Soiree and Matcha Latte, I want to try too soon. Would anyone like to share their impressions on the new additions to the AHL line of yummies?

Does anyone know what Matcha tea is supposed to taste like? I know it's a trending tea now for it's health benefits, but I want to know how it tastes? I wonder if the new AHL Matcha juice will provide these health benefits?

I am also trying Caramel Pear White Tea for the first time. For those of you who have tried both, which one is a better, stronger flavor?

Thank you!

J.W.
At least as of my last order - middle of January 2017 - free shipping was available on any order over $50.

The Ahlusion order has arrived. Fresh from the mail, my thoughts on the new-to-me juices are below:

Thanks Eleanor! Following your lead, I aerated and shook Turkish Delight and put it away. I'll continue with the shaking for at least a week before I try it.

I think the Katarina probably needs the same. I am getting more meringue than anything else. There's a hint of fruit, maybe a tiny twinge of rum, but no hazelnuts yet. I know this one has much more to offer. given time.

The big winner of today's delivery at this point is the Caramel Pear White Tea. I've never had it before today, but I have read great things about it here and it is very good! I expect it will continue to improve over time.

Personal tastes and perceptions are so weirdly different aren't they?
I found the Wildwoods to be dry, in contrast to you and several others who thought they were sweet.
On the other hand, I've been delving into NET's and despite real tobacco extracts and no sweeteners, I've found them (deliciously) sweet.
Shrug.

It's too quiet here.

I noticed that the bottle now come with the dropper attached & no flat cap. I think that's a smart cost-saving measure.

And Mango Lassi is still delicious.

It sure is!! After all this time, it still amazes me how good it is!
