It's not against the law to install a new odometer if one breaks, but I think you are supposed to have to log it and mention it in the sale or whatever. I am not even sure where I heard this, but odometers are pretty serious.
Personally, I uh, would probably IGNORE my bad odometer, but I'm not good with cars. As a matter of fact, when I asked the husband if he could install a USB port into my lighter he was all like, "What are you talking about?" and then went and inspected my car's lighter and said, "That is not a USB port, Anna, because it is a power source for a USB port," and then went out and purchased me an adaptor that gives me TWO USB cable options. In fact, he said, "I think we discussed this a long time ago actually," but that is me and cars. I haven't tried the adaptor yet, I want to say I have this vague memory of trying one and it not working, but that also might be a false memory, created by false pride. Also, super glad that I will be having two USB ports in my car, if it's not a false memory. It probably is though.
