I have flown with the egrip and it leaked. I usually take my tanks off and put them in a bag with the juice separate from the batts. I would suggest only flying with the egrip empty since the juice may leak into the usb port.
Either drain it or keep it upside down so it doesn't leak.
On my tanks (not egrip, but should still apply) I keep them on my carry on. Then once seated in the plane I place it upside down in the seat pouch in front me for the duration of flight. Never had a leak.
I travel quite a bit and will take either my atlantis or nautilus to the bathroom for a vape, I make sure either tank is filled to capacity before I board the plane, seems to work for me.
