good question,,,,,,,I am traveling at the end of the month, and I don't want any problems,,,,I know you're allowed 100ml of liquid if you pack it in a quart sized zip loc baggie,,,,,,

but not quite sure about the e-cig itself,,,,,,I'm sure you're ALLOWED to have it,,,,,,but whether you put it through the x ray machine or hand it over in advance, I'm not sure,,,,,,

lots of posters here on ecf bring their various pvs and apvs on an airplane on their carry on. put the liquid in a plastic baggy, as per standard. i've read about some people keeping their pv in a case in a bag, others have popped it in a ziploc bag as well, just so it's easy to see and costs less time if they're asked to see it specifically.
many airlines clearly state that they are permitted to be carried on to a flight, but not used during a flight.

I flew down to Atlanta with mine. Here's what you do. Take small plastic bottles of e-liquid with mL levels written on them so they know. All batteries and liquid in a clear ziplock bag and your liquid in a separate plastic bag inside there (in case any leaks). Keep it in your carry-on. When they put mine through the scanner they didn't take a second look, either on my way there or on the way back. You want all your stuff on the carry on because one, you don't want the pressure changing in the e-liquid bottles and making them leak or burst. And two, there are been cases with batteries exploding in a non-pressurized chamber. I was scared when I first went, but on the way back and waiting on my flight in the airport I vaped in the terminal at the gate. I actually asked the people working there first and just stealth vaped the whole time. Just don't try to pull it off on the plane. That's where they draw the line.

I recently just got back from a trip to Japan, Philippines, Singapore and Bali. Every time through the baggage check I would have all my liquid in a ziplock not exceeding the allowed amount. I always left my battery in my bag and was only asked twice what it was. I told them it was electronic cigarette and they let me on my. They never drilled me or were suspicious. In one of the checks the guy asked me what it was and the other checker already new and told the guy its good. Total I think I went through around 14 baggage checks because of customs and some airports had two checks before you get on your plane. As far as actually using it I always went to the smoking section of the airports. Didnt like it but I am a rules type of guy. Most people will think your smoking so for me its easier to just go to the smoking area. One time somebody thought it was a medical inhaler.
