hello lovely vapelandians.

big big job interview in the morning, the one for the job i've wanted most all year... the one that broke my heart when they had budget cuts and couldn't hire me last time. super excited, i stopped in today to pick up some paperwork that needed to be done, and the lady who interviewed me last time was standing in the office. she recognized me instantly and knew my name and everything. sounds dumb, but hey, it means i really made an impression 6 months ago. .

on another note... cream of shrimp soup left unattended in a house with two cats... is not destined for a long future.

The cruise was a first for both myself and my husband...only 2 nights but a good way to find out if we liked cruising and our first vacation in over 9 years we did have a few "snafus" but it was so good to get away and be waited on a bit instead of doing the waiting...BTW found out the hard way I am allergic to escargot...LOL.
Our room was upgraded 13 categories to a Jr Suite with balcony we do think we like Royal Caribbean...and I introduced a few more people to AiV vapes too those little samples come in SOOOOO useful

We had a balcony on ours, my mom and I are about to get a free one. She fell on like the second day of the cruise, has back problems, wound up having to cancel her excursions and I wound up with her most of the time. So we're getting a make-up cruise at the very least, she just went and had to have injections done. I know she hurts because I have fallen a zillion times and OMG, hurts like crazy. And I do feel bad that she fell on the cruise (I wasn't there when she fell, but other passengers saw it happen, there was food on the floor).

What aggravates me is that I'm supposed to have so much sympathy for her when she has had virtually none for me. I fell off a ladder last year right before my birthday, twice. It was oh, too bad, you just have to deal with it. And she has had her surgery, which is why injections work for her- her spine has been stabilized. Mine isn't and has not been stable for 9 years. I guess that's why I get aggravated. We were talking yesterday, I had told her about my headaches, of course hers is worse, she has to go to PT (which dumb doc wants me to do yet again). I told her they had been going on for 5 days, her response: that's just life. I swear she drives me nuts sometimes. She falls, it's the end of the world or what have you, she really hurts, blah, blah, blah. Something happens to me: whatever. Very aggravating. I didn't need sweatpants for my surgeries, even though I will be in a sling, I'll be better in two weeks (nope, not what doctor said). They are moving a NERVE, quite a ways too. I mean, yeah, I could be up and at 'em soonish, but don't compare this to knee surgery for something minor! Ugh, sorry, venting again.

And yes, I can imagine the soup plus cats would not be a good combo, lol! Little rascals, I swear mine is too smart for her own good!

Well, I would like to thank AiV from the bottom of my heart! They sent me another CRoom bottle of Call Me Vanilla, which if you don't remember, I knocked it over and lost quite a few mL of liquid! They also sent me samples of my faves, and my Narnia driptip is even prettier than I expected! I also love how they put a fleur de lis in just about every note I get! Thank you so much, it means a lot to me!

Have all of you noticed how the samples you get will gradually change colors over time? (Ok, we all KNOW they just get better with age!) I have about 20 of them, just sitting behind my keyboard and every once in a while, I randomly go through them just to put something "different " in my tank and notice the change. I noticed a change in Zombie when I got a LBE after a week....that was 2 months ago. It's pretty fascinating........

Yup, sure have! I was looking at AiV samples to take with me on my cruise in case I got a hankering for one of them , and could tell the age difference in some just by holding them side by side. Was pretty cool! Just got my first ZA sample in, will be fun to watch it!

I don't really know where to start with this. Yesterday was kind of strange, the card reader was the beginning of the trouble.
I tried most of the day to fix it and then that begot a whole other string of problems ending with the death of my computer.
Totally fried. I was trying to go along with the HP hop along cassidy type thing. It said if the card reader was having a problem
then the screen froze at the hp load screen. I did all the follow up things long into the night. Eddy was up with me until 5 this
morning and I am just so exhausted. WE have tried all the helps on the internet. I have known for a long time that I need a
new computer. I have been getting warnings every now and then when I restart about the fan and what not. Just trying to make
the thing last. Gods know computers don't last 10 years anymore. I have babied the thing and it has been good to me.

This is Eddy's computer that I am on now and I will have to use it from time to time until I can figure something out.

I love you guys to pieces. I am really gonna be miserable without my computer. wow

Morri, you might want to check the computers and prices at http://www.tigerdirect.com/. I've been getting all my electronics/cameras from them for the last 12 years (and I am a "multi tab" shopper!) and they always seemed to have the lowest prices.

If you have Vista, it's a major culprit. I had it on my Vaio laptop and it crashed twice. All the bugs in it are fixed with, get this, Win 7. So it was either keep downloading fixes and hope your screen doesn't freeze or go black, or upgrade....urgh! The guy who fixes my 'puters when I can't figure them out, has a sign on his door that says he will not fix Vista OS 'puters. He made an exception and was downloading it for a day and a half after he wiped the hard drive. I had to re-load all my Vaio stuff when I got it back. The 2nd time it happened, I did it myself.

Just make sure that whatever you get, you make a recovery disc FIRST THING! Microsoft hasn't been giving a copy of the OS, with the computers you buy, for years. I don't know about Apple.

Just some FYI in case you didn't know. (BTW, my little brother worked on and off as an independent contractor for Microsoft......everyone up there on the "campus" uses Apple, LOL!) He did X-Box, and Surface....although the original applications have been black boxed. The Original Surface has applications that would blow anything out of the water, but they're holding back, such is the corporate mindset.
