Alice in Vapeland Closed? So sad but will keep checking as I have heard wonderful things. As a vaper, i am totally picky with juices and usually don't try sample packs or order online since my local has a great supply of many vape retailers, but I want to try Alice in Vapeland. Can't wait to visit without the Closed sign.

this is what I put on their facebook............ sorries, Irish came out..........

they ask for input.

Well.... here is some imput. Alice in Vapeland opened their doors on April 4, 2012. What in the world are you thinking naming your business Alice in Vaporland? Have you heard of google? If you search google for Alice in vape.... the entire first page comes up.. Alice in Vapeland! The vape community is very close-knit. I cannot believe that you want to start off making enemies. WHAT are you thinking????

I just left their Facebook page and here's what I posted:

"Why would you choose a name so similar (2 letters different) to an already well established and popular business? Don't you think this might cause confusion with new customers or raise complaints from established ones? It's not like they're an obscure company...in fact they're one of the best know around and have been for well over a year winning several Spinfuel awards for their juices. It's kind of hard to believe that you didn't see the very close similarity in their name when you were choosing yours."

What a bunch of bull! I'm usually easy going, but this just ticks me off:mad:

Edited to add: I wanted to tell the guy what my Grandfather used to tell me what not to do on his leg and tell him it's raining but I tried to remain at least a semi-gentleman.....:glare:

WOW another sound-a-like site....you should really investigate the Boba's story (real VS fake) and learn from the mistakes that were made. I personally wish to think that you were unaware when choosing your name.....If you truly are a legitimate company and site I would suggest you change your name to something a bit further from the amazing iand original Alice in Vapeland....no one will ever make juices like they do
here is the response
We are a full on Vape shop not only do we make our own WonderJuice but we also have a legitimate shop in El Paso Tx. I apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our name.

and my reply
in life we all sometimes make mistakes...and we have the option to correct them, You have the opportunity to resolve this mistake quite easily ,,,,you could still have your shop front and sell your mass produced wonder juice using your first name before the sound-a-like name IE "Bob's Alice n Vaporland" ect..again I wish to believe the choice of name was just a big oversight...I can see how the tight knit Alice in Vapeland community will react in a less than positive manner and I do not wish to see any company ostracized due to a mistake...we are all human and mistakes do happen

A sad and shameful day in the world of vapers!

I went to the facebook site for Alice n Vaporland (they were certainly careful to come as close as possible weren't they!) and left this comment:

When I was told someone was using the Alice in Vaporland name I truly couldn't believe that anyone would stoop so low as to attempt to use something so close to the well known and respected name of another site. Shame on you! You really should make an effort to build your own base, this certainly appears that you are trying to increase your position without the effort on your part to build up your own good name!

That quote is usually associated with E. Gary Gygax, one of the creators of the D&D game, but it's actually a paraphrase from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.."Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger" ...just a little Thursday useless information moment...

My favorite kind of information! Thanks!

it is............. not there.

Yours is not there either. I suspect our posts will be deleted as we put them up. Only someone on the site at the moment we hit post is going to see our comments. It may be they want to make sure anyone who found them by accident stays there and wonders why we rave about how good AiV is... People who hear us talk about the flavors and the excellent treatment won't understand. We will have to make sure that when we send someone to AiV they get to the right website and the right facebook page!:(

If anyone wishes to call, email, FB post, or visit this store in El Paso to protect the integrity of Vapeland that we have all created, please email us at action@aliceinvapeland.com with your experience as we will offer a special Vapeland Defender Coupon for your service. <3

I don't think our dear friends need to reward me for doing what is right. I am just saddened that a vendor would pull such a low trick as to try and take another's good name. I had read a few posts from other well loved brands that had this happen and how bad the impostors were treating the unaware customers who ended up on the wrong site by accident! I wonder if there is a possible legal standing for the time and effort that AiV has taken to build up a good name and customers that know them and recommend them to others with the highest praises!:?:

Definitely NOT taking up AiV on their coupon offer, I gladly pay for their quality products.....and besides, they'd have a hard time figuring out what my actual name was, LOL!:)

I feel the same way and will refuse ANY offer of a coupon for doing this. They do so much for others just to put smiles on their faces, and do NOT deserve such unethical behavior from others.

newest post on the imposter site

Alice n vaPORland is a vape shop. Alice in Vapeland sells juices. We have rights to both names in the state of Texas. Certainly never meant to offend or piggyback off anyone's name. Vaping communities should come together and support each other.

My reply

Wow...I just checked and Alice N Vaporland is available in the state of Florida...should I register the name here and and piggyback on any customer base you may have generated just because I can? The Vape community does pull together for the most part...I hope you correct this mistake and can prosper

I DO NOT WANT nor will I accept anything for defending AiV
