Silly question but if your chain vaping what do you do when your one battery dies?you should have a minimum of at least 2 IMO I like the ego twist.

As a matter of fact this has been quite an issue for me, but as i said im quite a home-body so I have found ways around it. When I jam on the PS3 my battery charges. My charger is within arms reach from my seat on the couch so quickly popping it on and off the charger is no problem for me. I charge up each night and 3-5 times throughout the day and my down time is fairly minimal, but i do have the occasional crap out and have to wait for that damned green light.

Even if you don't get a Twist/Spinner at this point, a higher mAh eGo wouldn't be a bad plan.

Is it possible to get too big of a battery? Im still not entirely sure what mAh refers to as ive only had the one generic that i have. Also, how long do the batteries tend to last b4 completely giving out? I've had this same one for a couple months now and idk wat id do if i woke up to a non-functioning battery.

“mAh” stands for milliampere-hour which is the length of time a battery will last between charges. 100mAh is roughly equal to 1 hour of use (although it tends to be less in vaping). The higher the mAh, the longer the battery will last, but also the larger in size it will be. The 650mAh you have now should theoretically last about 6.5 hours, although I doubt it does.

You can never get too big of a battery, unless the appearance is too much for you.

ETA: How long of a life the batteries have is unpredictable. Most are claimed to last 300 charges, but who knows?

ETAA: To give you a size comparison, on the left is a 1000mAh eGo Twist and on the right is a regular eGo 650mAh.

Too big, nope. Too big to be comfortable is a different thing, some will be ok with a mod with two 18650, some will want a slim 510 sized unit. Its a matter of preference as far as size is concerned.

As far as mAh is concerned, This is a measure of storage. The more mAh the more runtime will be available. The general rule of thumb is 100mAh=1hr moderate vape time. I use more than that, most use right around there. Judging by your pervious post you probably use about 200mA/hr so for you as much mAh as you can be comfortable with is what you should look into.

The general life cycle of these batteries is 300 charges, before you begin to see a large decrease in output capability. Some don't make it that long, some make it much longer.

Well I'm a pretty big guy so bigger will probably be more comfortable for me. I also would like to get as far from the analog feel as possible so biger sounds lke the way to g. That's why I've been considering a mod. I will definitely try and get a larger battery in the next week or so cuz i know i have to be getting close to 250 charges. ill probably go with a spinner/twist so i can have a little more control over my vape. And then i'll set my sights on the evic. thanks for tolerating all my questions and educating me. i love this new hobby and i LOVE this forum. you guys (and gals) are great.

Too big a battery is only a problem if you think it's too big to be carrying around. mAh is just a measurement of how much electricity the battery holds. If you can go a day on a 650 mAh battery, you can go 2 on a 1300 mAh one.

How long a battery lasts is pretty up in the air. Theoretically, an Ego quality battery should last hundreds of charges. I've had Ego batteries die within days of getting them. On the other hand, I've had a Riva battery that I bought as a backup about 2 months after I joined this forum and used it daily for a couple of years and it still works just like new. It's only in my backup box now because it looks like crap (serously, I've rubbed the half the finish off the thing from handling). It's been a tank.

I'd highly, highly, highly recommend buying several (as in, at least 3 or 4) spare batteries. There's nothing that'll make you run back to cigarettes faster than suddenly finding yourself completely unable to vape and knowing it'll be days for a replacement to show up.

As for your original question, if learning how to draw hasn't completely fixed the problem, you might consider using a couple of batteries with cartos on them simultaneously. Use one for a few minutes then let it sit as you use the other. Switching between the 2 will give your juice more time to thoroughly wick.

Vaping to fast. Hitting to hard. I had to slow down time between hits and draw slower to keep from burning wicks.

That's it - SLOW down. I am also chain vaper, but find that when I keep hitting over and over, the atty gets too hot, hence burned taste. Slow down. See my signature below . . .

I chain vape too with 18-24 mg and havnt been able to sleep at night..prolly high Nicotine? Pretty new to vaping.

Try 12 mg. after 6 p.m. or even 6 mg. I started at 24, a month later, down to 12. Dropping to 6 at night helps a lot. It's like not drinking caffeine at bedtime, you know?
