Vicks has done a remarkable job while the Wiz wandered the "other" places around the internet, but I think it's high time that he get down out of that hot air balloon he's been seen in, and get his happy ... back in here and help restore the original EC back to it's former glory. The occasional post just doesn't cut the mustard any more!

BM.....You hit quite a few good points there. I think Summertime Bliss hit the EC and the ECF...and a few of us squandered(and wandered)away...and who can blame them.Summertime is a time for Family(and the kids most especially..if you have them)I saw that coming months before the season kicked in.With school starting back up soon,and the premise of Winter soon to follow(Brrr!!!)I would have to think our little community will re-unite once more once the fire is lit.
As far as my "Balloon Trip" across the internet went,there were some good times,and some not-so-good times.Our EC Chat Party was a huge success,the only setback there was that we didnt get a chance for a follow up(an issue I hope to resolve in the weeks ahead..with some help!).My dreams of expanding EC unfortunatly did not pan out either...I guess the first will always be the best(unless it's Disney),I will say that Tone is doing a great job at another forum with his EC3(very different atmosphere at that place for some reason),and I have promised to hang my Wizardly hat there when I can....So was the "Trip" a disaster...Not at all because I landed exactly where I started...and the grass is Not always greener on the other side!!
On to Vicks!! You are right on BM.....Vicks has done a great job running EC!!! How she manages both The Cheddar Group and this one I'll never know(she posts at both places quite often...as if we didnt know!!..LOL)She did expand the membership too(heck...we even have a Mr. Vicks now...could never get Mrs.Wiz on board here myself)Ok so all of her "on Topic" threads went "off" topic.....did anyone really think they would stay that way?...LOL...Any way you look at it Vicks did a huge favor for me by accepting the keys and managing the City and the right successor was chosen.Vicks will always have my sincere thanks for doing that.Whatever direction EC ends up taking....we can all rest easy knowing the EC dungeon will always be open for buisness.
So...What happens to EC now? I'll put it to you in words everyone can understand. If Vicks slides the keys back under the door...I will be the first one to pick them up. I gave the EC to Vicks...and the Wiz is not an Indian(no offense to native americans)Giver.Would I put my whole heart and effort into Bringing EC back into the Showroom of Social Groups?...Yes!! Would I bring more members into the group?...Yes!! Would I put the call out to existing members of the group to come back?...Yes!! Will we have contests?...Yes!! Will we be looked down at by ECF moderation...No!!(Those days are over). There is alot we can do here(including occasionally talking about vaping),but we need each other to do it...There is no Me in Group!!!
BM I thank you for the nice post!! Whomever runs the EC....It really doesnt matter....EC is just a concept...ran by all of us!! But one thing I have learned this past week(based on one extremly touching post),when it comes to The Emerald City.."There's No Place Like Home""!!!The Wiz!

Ok...I had to say it AT LEAST once!

Keeping tabs on EC1 is easy in the summer, Wiz, where everyone's out and about - well, the ones with lives outside their computers, anyway.....

Emerald does need some spiffing up now that summer's winding down. We made this city grand once, we can certainly do it again, grander and more special than before.... and it's gonna take all of us to do it.

Now I'm gonna get a bit preachy. Look away if you've a weak stomach!!!


Everyone comes to Emerald because it's a fun place, with a group of fabulous people sharing their thoughts and ideas (and our own unique, twisted sense of humor!!!) - but you have to share, too. We love your input - all of it! - and we need it. Nothing happens in this city if we don't put up posts!

So put up your thoughts, off the wall or as wacky as they may be, in a post. Off topic???? Not that big a deal (I tend to derail as many threads as I post in!!!). Inspired by something someone just said? Share your inspiration. That's how we build a digital city....post by post, as opposed to brick by brick....

Well I for one think that both Wiz and Vicks have done a great job for our wonderful Emerald City. I would like to suggest that they BOTH run our fair city. Vicks was so kind and gracious and bestowed King and Queen Smily titles for Bite and I. I would like to have Wiz and Vicks become King and Queen of our Emerald City. Or perhaps the titles of Emporer and Empress of Emerald City. This is such a huge job and they both have such wonderful creative abilities. Imagine what the 2 of them could come up with! Just my 2 cents. Any thoughts anyone?

Yer right, Wiz - we do work well together, and I know you've always got my back (and vice versa, BTW!!!).

So now I'll give ya all my thoughts, as well...... Wiz - you did so very much to boost the membership of Emerald - which is key to building a online community! Me, meh - no so many.... and I've got other things in the pipeline which may limit my ability to weed out the quality people from the confrontational ones that make up any online fourm.

You live and breathe Emerald, Wiz - this city is your baby, your brainchild.... and it's spawned other Emeralds in other forums. I think it needs you to hold them there golden keys, Wiz - the first and original Emerald City needs the only and original Wiz at the helm. Not that I won't give you my .02 when you ask (and even when you don't - hehehe), but if a pole goes up, sweetie, I'm voting for you..

I would be hard pressed to vote for either of my good friends in a poll situation. Only pole I want to see is someone dancing around it in one of our parties! LOL IMHO it should be left up to you two. If Vicks wants to give the keys back, great. If not, that's great too. But it would cause me too much distress to vote, so I'll hang back and see what happens and be happy with either.
