vape. I took up vaping to quit smoking. And, potentially saving $$$ was a pretty good idea as well. I got the njoy npro before finding this forum. Of course I found out that a cart is not going to last as long as a pack of smokes. I also discovered that eli8quid is cheaper than prefills.

All of that is well and good. But, I have yet to get consistency from refilling carts. I am working thru mods trying to find one that works. I don't go in for half hour vaping sessions. I take a hit or two (big hits to be sure) every half hour to hour. My main concern is convenience, and that lung filling "kick" ala a big hit from a marlboro. I want to pull out the npro and simply have a go at it. I don't want to have to go thru an elaborate ritual for a three to five minute smoke break. I'm trying to convince the smokers at work (we get two 15 min breaks a day plus lunch) that el-cigs are the wave of the future as well. Who knows, someday we might be let back into the building.

I still haven't found the combination that works for me. So all suggestions and advice are appreciated. And, to the old hands that post all the great stuff.... Thank You Very Much! Without y'all I'd like as not have gone back to smoking cheap lil cigars.

There are many different models and mods to choose from and just about everyone has a different opinion on each one. Personally I use a DSE905 because I like a big battery. One battery will last me almost all day, which is something I could never get from my joye510. I also use the straw mod similar to this one. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartridge-mods/46916-reservoir-straw-plug-mod-rsp-mod.html With the straw mod, I can smoke the equvilent of 3-4 analog cigarettes before I need to refil the cart. It only takes about 20 seconds to refil the cart, so it is no hassle at all.

Take a look at asome of the big battery mods, and you will probably find one that you want to get. Then just use a cart mod that works best for you.

Have you tried dripping? I have had such a hard time with filling carts I just got fed up. I tried dripping and am loving it, only down side is I have already killed an atty from it. I have tried the different fillers that are suggested on this site but nothing has worked for me. The other fillers just taste bad to me and the poly fill is just such a pain to refill. In summation imo dripping = better taste, vapor, throat hit, no refilling carts. Downside is the obvious lifespan degradation for the atty.

I sure appreciate the time everyone took to help out with words of encouragement. A new PV isn't in my near future. Essentially when I told my wife I was interested in vaping she was all for it so long as it was vape or smoke. But not both. I'm keeping a logbook showing cash outlay for vaping compared to a carton of lil cigars every tenth day. I just ordered another atty and battery to hold in active reserve.

i'm not familiar with the npro, but if you're just taking a couple of hits every so often, try dripping. it only takes a few seconds for 2-3 drops and no need to mess with cart refilling.

You've made a good point. And that is what I did at work today. The smokers looked at me like I was on drugs..... one asked if there was a THC juice. I told him that I hope no one ever publicly markets one. If they did the ecig wound be lumped into the drug paraphernalia class and we would all be screwed. I'm hesitant about full on dripping though. I heard that it kills the atty?

Fort Hood? I'm a retired Marine (81-03) myself living up Lubbock way. So, tell the Hubby that if a retired jarhead can figure it out then so can he. Oohrah! That's Marinespeak for HooAh :D

I can see that from here as well. I'd rather use a cart in public if possible. But at home... this may be the way to go.

No one will ever publicly market a THC juice because THC is illegal.

I've been dripping for pretty much the whole time I've been vaping and I've yet to "kill" an atty. You can flood your atty with a cart just as easy if not easier than with dripping. Once you figure out how many drops your atty can handle and when to drip some more you're all set. If you get a gurgling sound, oops, blow it out a little.

Dripping is not convenient at times (like while driving), so carts are good for times like that. But honestly, I never use them.

I use highping's simple cart mod since I have found it to be not just the simplest, but the most effective.

As for the PV (not that you implied you were looking for another one that I saw) - if you did look for an alternate, I second the opinion directly after your original post for the Tornado/eGo - it's a great unit (though hope they figure out these button sticking issues I hear about).

I just spent an hour with a fluval block building four different carts with different filler/straw/juice/level combinations. One thing I noticed is that even after the cart is "done" the polyfil still holds juice. I took a medicine syringe and dropped all those polys in it and squeezed out enough juice to fill the 4081 carts to the top. So my fluval test at least isn't using more juice. I'll be keeping the syringe handy to avoid wastage.

You won't kill an atty by dripping. Usually, over-heating kills mine.
Try two or three drops directly onto the metal "screen" inside the atty.

Ive begun to notice that myself. I have started mostly dripping at home. But for out in public I much prefer to simply pull it out and take a couple of hits. I am really impressed the cart mod of highpings.

Highping my man, You Rock.
