I had a day I was working outside on someone's house.i am a sparky by day and I had the husband wife and kid following me around all chain smoking and blowing it my face. I was ready to pop them all with a shovel as soon as I got done and pretty much sucked up the whole mini Naughty before the craving gone away.somedays I want to smoke a whole carton but that's why the dripper comes to work to.you can do it buddy

Ok all here is something that I have found that works for me. I was a smoker for 48 years 2-3 PAD and as of December will be smoke free for a whole year. You may think this is gross I know I do. Get a 1 gallon zip lock baggie and fill it up with used cigarette butts, zip it shut and throw it behind the seat of your truck or under your car seat next time you get a bad craving just open the bag and take a couple of good wiffs then ask yourself is this what you want to smell like. This has been a good way to stop the cravings for me.

Oh my gosh!!! That was exactly the first time (besides my stupid normal morning thing :/ ) I had a bad craving after I first started vaping - my brother and his girlfried chain smoked in the truck with me trapped inside for an hour...I thought I would die by the time I got out...but I made it that time too - **I wanna hit someone with a shovel** - I always feel guilty when I have a craving, but well, really...was I expecting a magic fix?? vaping is the only thing that has ever let me go this long, so nope, despite the cravings...I am going to do it!

I smoked about 2 (somedays more) packs a day - I really have to stop letting myself get worked up over occasional cravings - LOL!! I am afraid on some days, I might actually try to smoke those old butts...LOL, gross, yep...but a good reminder. I don't want them in the car though - LOL, my car smells GOOD for the first time in forever (I even scrubbed all the seats LOL)

you know what this thread makes me realize? How discourteous people are to each other. lack of understanding, empathy etc. It is a really crummy thing to use around someone battling ex-addiction to anything. sure, many people don't even know. the thing is smoking is so crummy anyways I guess that is why it is banned in most public places. it's the same thing with booze, drugs both of which I did too. it is like a lack of care for others to do these things around them when they are clean. I know this does not help this topic but I just realized this.

I have had those feelings too and a few times I actually did cave in and smoke so good for you for resisting the temptation.
I can tell you that by the end of the cigarette I was disappointed, I just felt guilty and weak which made me more stressed and it definitely didn't relax me or deliver me my nicotine any better than my e-cig, it was just my mind playing tricks on me.

Congrats on hanging in there, surely you wont regret it. Vape like mad if you have to, at least its not an analog :vapor:

Thank you and I am lately maybe vaping a little more - tomorrow is the 27 year anniversary of my first cigarette...I started on National Smoke Out Day (yes, I really did - I thought I knew everything and was even MORE non-conformist back then LOL)....I am proud of myself for hanging in there and staying humble because I know the cravings will still happen and i don't want to be thinking I know it all again - LOL!!

I know exactly what you are saying! It made it ever worse because it was my little brother...we have always been the best of friends...and he quit for 2 years then started back up - the morning my mom died we stood on the back porch together (yes, smoking...) and promised after watching all she had to endure that we would quit...instead of being proud and supportive of me...he seemed to just be mocking me...and yeah, it hurts pretty bad :'( Hopefully, we can all be the type of people who will be helpful and supportive, but not preachy and judgmental, and help one smoker in our lives at a time ((hugs))

Thank you!! Nothing special that I didn't give in - LOL...who knows what would have happened had someone stuck one in my face at about that point and offered me 5 minutes to get out of that office....I knew somehow, I would not feel better and I would feel guilty - I think I've had enough of smoker's guilt for one lifetime - LOL!!!
