All my eGo (type B) tanks started leaking.

The first was month or so with my eGo T was a love affair. Now I'm screwing old 510 cartomizers (bleah) into my batteries because the leaks are clogging up the attys within an hour.

I have no idea what you call the round, sharp part around the wick in the attys that pokes the hole, but I wonder if that's where the trouble is. Do they ever need to be pulled up or otherwise messed with ?

I exchanged the hard plastic caps for new silicone ones, didn't help. I don't think the seals around the caps are leaking, I never take them off to refill --use a syringe through the top instead.

I'm pretty sure they are leaking through the hole. Started when I used the new atty that came with a passhtru, at first I thought it was poking bigger holes than the other atomizers did, but that's probably not logical.

I'm using the same five tanks that I got when I bought the Ego. Do tanks just need to be replaced regularly?

Any ideas?

If the soft caps didn't fix the problem then it's the wicking needs adjusting - see these videos.

Also it is best to refill a tank before it's completely dry. 1/4 filled tanks are more likely to leak from most reports. Another suggestion is to precut the hole in the cap:

And finally, when you go to buy a new atty you might consider an eGo-c:
